I see that Arizona Arborists & Landscapes responded to my review. Unfortunately, Esteban was not accurate in his reply. First, he says, "I called him off", when in fact, I merely said another day would be better. (I had an appointment that I could not reschedule.) See photo of our texts. I notified him within a reasonable period of time that there was a large limb dangling from one mesquite tree. There had been no storm or other act of nature to cause this. It was obvious that it was a direct result of not making a good, clean, cut. He never responded to my texts to come cut and take away the dangling limb. He did, however, say that raking my yard would cost $550, but less than $350 wasn't worth his time. I had hoped, if the cost was reasonable, that he'd also remove the dangling limb. But, he did not. And, because I wouldn't go along with the high price, he refused to take away the dangling limb. Second, there was a lot of careless whacking and straight cutting on the trees, and I will admit, it looked weird to me but did not complain. I was relieved, for sure, that the trees were thinned. And, I praised them for that. I assured Esteban and his workers that there was no encroachment into the neighbors yard. It was an easement area, and I notified him as well as the next door neighbor, who would benefit at no cost from the trimming. Today, I had another company come out to trim my tall eucalyptus tree. As they observed the work Esteban and his crew did on the mesquites, they were appalled at the lack of care and improper trimming. They asked me about who did this. I did not bring it up until they asked. That tells, because they know what they're doing. In addition, they will fix one tree that Esteban whacked, for free! I will say this, the crew was friendly and hardworking. I really liked their demeanor, yet, that's not a great reason to get poor service. I cannot, in good conscience, ever recommend this company. Just because someone claims to be an arborist, does not make one so. read more

Esteban and his crew were excellent. These guys are professional, efficient, and do very thorough work. Most importantly, they communicate with you. They respond quickly, let you know when they'll be there, let you know if something comes up, and keep you posted on progress. I cannot begin to tell you how rare that is. We worked with them on regrading a portion of our yard and building a retaining wall with a built-in planted. Esteban was able to come over for an estimate within a few days, took measurements and pictures, and then got back to me with a design idea that he drew along with the details of what stones would be used. The quote was on par with other quotes we had received. They got us on the schedule within a couple of days and they finished the project as well as a complete yard clean-up within a week. Esteban and his team are really quite remarkable. We searched high and low for a skillful contractor to grade our yard, lay pavers, and build and install steel planter box, gates and fence. Contractors would show up, make a bid, but never follow through. And then we contacted Esteban. In no time his crew was on site knocking out old stuff and preparing ground for pavers and metal work. No farting around. We were fairly blown away by Esteban and his team's level of skill, workmanship and artistry. The sheer effort required to demo the old tiles and concrete was staggering. These folks are really determined. They're also exact and meticulous. After observing such hard work and efficiency for 3 weeks, we can't imagine anyone else but Esteban completing the job--let alone finishing it so well. All of my correspondence was clear and easy, and their pricing was very aggressive (in the best possible way). What would have taken me hours over several days they were done in less than an hour (I think, actually, less than 30 minutes).
