We came in February with my dress and had a great time with Joan talking about what we would like done to the dress and when it would be ready. She said two weeks and she would call us when it was ready. The two weeks came and went with no call but since she said they would be easy fixes, and we were three months out from the wedding I wasn't worried. HOWEVER After two months of radio silence, I called to check up on the dress and tried for multiple days to get a hold of Joan as she did not have a voicemail box to leave a message. I was finally able to get a hold of her and schedule an appointment for myself and my mother to come in for a "final fitting" that weekend. We get there and Joan says she was swamped with prom season so time got away from her - I get it. I, too, have let projects get away from me. As we're talking though, we have to remind her about our due date (two weeks at this point), what my dress looks like, and what we're doing to it. Now, is it my fault for letting it go that long with no contact? Yes absolutely, and I recognize that. However, we had to find my dress in her workspace which was exactly where we had left it, and no work had been done on it. For three months. I tried it on again and for a third time told Joan what we wanted done and when we can expect it to be ready. She says we can come by later that week to pick it up. My mom and I leave and are just sort of shocked at the whole thing. I had read reviews online that a few people had posted saying that after voicing concerns with Joan she gave them back their items and told them to go somewhere else. I was terrified of voicing anything negative in fear that this would happen as I did not have time to find a new seamstress. My mom agreed to come back with me to the next appointment as moral support (and to be my backbone if needed). So we go back, there are minor adjustments that need to be done. No big deal, Joan says, and she can get them done by this weekend. My mom confirms that she will have everything completed as it is now a week until the wedding. Joan says that 100% we can pick it up completed that weekend. The weekend comes, I pick up the dress after a try on and everything is perfect. She said she had to essentially take the whole dress apart and put it back together and rang up a $350 price tag. I didn't say anything except "thank you" and booked it out of there. I want to make clear that I do not have an issue with the final version of my dress. It looks perfect and I love it; however, the journey of making it there was such a major issue with undue stress. I understand I am partially to blame for that, yes, but having no record of clientele and what their requests were, nor a listed due date I think really exacerbated the entire situation.

The company who initially made the garter sent the wrong one to me. I was in LA. Wedding in Frederick, M.D. Company who I had ordered garter from was not getting back to me....what a nightmare. Expressed it to M.D. She was one of the two who said they would make time to embroider after calling 20 places. Had to have it done same day. The delicate lace was a concern Angie said but would give it her best shot and it came out SO BEAUTIFULLY!! Better than the company who made the garter!! Upon bringing it in, she was done 1 hour later. She has top of the line equipment also!! Not to say she will be free all the time for last minute jobs but this shop owner goes out of her way for her clients and cares!! You will not go wrong with her for small or big jobs!! Below is the long story...... Tried to find someone here to fix error. No one had time to fix garter and no one had time to embroid it even if itwere fixed. It was last minute. Found a amazing bridal shop in LA called Bella Wedding Bridal. The best wedding dress shop in the country!! They removed the wrong initials on garter and replaced it with beautiful matching lace of garter. They also tried to help me find someone to embroider calling all over town. However, no one had time and too last minute. I had to express by 5pm to M.D. At least I thought bride will have garter on wedding day and will get another one to her for her keepsake. Expressed to M.D. then thought to call around to ask if anyone can embroider garter. No one had time etc. Found Angie at Embroider Me. She said she would give it a shot given lace and machinery. She did not want to damage so she would take a look first. She told my friend to bring it in right away. 1 hour later it was done and AMAZING!! Better than the company I had ordered from and with the correct initials at that. Angie had a very busy schedule but she made time and did the best of the best embroidery and saved the day!! I had taken 2 washable rugs and 2 couch cushions in for dry cleaning. was charged over $200 for all…read more4. I went back home only to find that one of the rugs had shrunk in the process. I go back to ask the owner of the shop what can be done. he said he would fix the rug, returning it to its original size. The owner and I went back and forth over it, and I essentially asked for a partial refund which he combated me for, even after agreeing with me that he overcharged me for washable rugs that were less than $60 a piece on Amazon to begin with. Well, I pick it up 2 weeks later only to find that the shrinkage issue was never fixed. I never received receipts from the business, was never asked if I would like a copy of mine, and this business' phones are not operating for customer/clientele's convenience. There is certainly a language barrier with the owner, however, it seems worthless to go in and attempt to get this fixed a second time. there are better cleaners around the corner, don't waste your time here.

They make you do it yourself or charge you an extra few dollars now. If I knew how to print this…read morestuff or figure it all out easily I'd have bought a printer for much less than I've spent here and printed stuff myself. Fortunately it took me much less time to write this review than it did to print a simple copy from my email. Just allow me to email it to the store like I always have and print it for me. it's not asking a lot that's what I'm paying for when I come. Now there's an extra few for them to do their job.
