Some of the most delicious (not to mention freshest) coffee I've had in a very long time. You can definitely tell that these people have a passion for the brew. It is really surprising that this place exists in Northern Wisconsin, which brings me to a couple of minor dislikes: 1) The price was pretty high for the regular brew. I'd have this gripe no matter where the place was located. I understand that Eagle River is a tourist destination so there can be a bit of inflation, but was still slightly taken aback. Again, it was really good stuff so I'd gladly pay the price. The place was jam-packed so I'm apparently not the only one who is a fan. 2) The staff was less than attentive. Typical of Northwoods businesses in the summer, there were three teenage girls running the place that day (two would have been more than enough) and they seemed utterly disinterested in customer service despite the fact that (as previously mentioned) the place was mobbed. If I am going to pay for a quality product I'd expect the service to reflect that same quality. It wasn't terrible service; I just felt a tad bit invisible. And a gripe about coffee shops across the country: why can't they have a decent bakery selection? This one only had cinnamon rolls. Oh well, I've stopped expecting much in that department. Besides, the coffee here is good enough that I didn't need anything to go with it. read more

You gotta go. My Americano (drinking as I type) approaches perfection. And my scrambler plate of eggs, turkey and tomatoes is a huge serving. Includes toast and fruit. A bargain! The atmosphere is modern cozy. This ain't your wood-floored coffee joint, which have their own kind of charm. But it's quiet here -- with good music playing. Stopped in for lunch... I had the cranberry turkey sandwich and a fruit plate for the side. Very tasty, came with a bunch of chips. Cantaloupe, kiwi, grapes, pineapple and blackberries were delicious. Hubby had a club sandwich with cole slaw. We both left happy. read more

We stopped on our way home for breakfast after a vacation in Eagle River. The food was great and the coffee even better! That however is not why Eagle River Roasters gets a 5 star from me. I left my pocket book with a wallet full of cash and credit cards and an iPad hanging over the back of my chair when we left. I did not discover I left it until I got home over 2 hours away. When I called they had my bag and were so nice to offer to fed ex it to me! I received it today with everything intact. Thanks so much to the wonderful customer who brought it to the ladies working at the counter and thank you so much to the wonderful staff at Eagle River Roasters for returning everything to me! Nice selection of creative coffee & tea drinks but pricey ($11 and change for a large flavored latte and a large chai). The chai came from a powder - which was unexpected & disappointing, given the price. Bakery looked good - we asked they made it there and the barista said no but they bake it there. Service & atmosphere were both fine but we definitely walked away wishing the the whole experience had been just a little better. read more

I'm so glad I found this spot while visiting my parents. I was in eagle river for 10 days and stopped here 8/10. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The coffee is amazing. I tried the flavored coffee every day and still can't decide if I liked the Blueberry Cobbler or Cranberry Cream Best so I bought a bunch to take home. The food looks great too! Free WiFi, tv and comfy chairs round out the pleasure! See you in September! read more

My husband and I were very impressed. It has a great location and lots of great choices for coffee, tea and food. There is lots of space inside to sit and I believe outside as well when the weather allows. Very relaxing atmosphere and the staff is very nice. We would highly recommend this as a stop. The drinks are locally inspired which is always cool. I had the "loonie latte " and my husband had the "Eagle River Mudd", which were both AWESOME!!! read more

Stopped in so my mother could pick up some of her favorite tea. The aroma was AMAZING - the real deal coffee shop aroma ! Didn't try any of the food but the menu looks incredible, need another trip to try lunch or breakfast. I did grab a mocha --OMG I have not had a mocha that great in YEARS and I'm a gold member at Starbucks. The atmosphere was ideal, lots of space to sit, enjoy a coffee, and even do some work on a laptop. Can't wait to stop in again and grab some coffee or have a panini. read more

I've only ever gotten the Vanilla Chai Latte, but it is one of the best I've had. The perfect mix of sweet and spices, made from real tea! Not fake powder. And they'll exchange the dairy for other forms of milk if you ask. A little over priced, but if you bring your own mug to fill, they will give you a discount. read more
