Like most places, there is moderate checker turnover but management has been stable and competent. They do not run out of items as often as Publix, but you have to watch their prices. They are no longer less expensive than Publix, across the board, so you need to be smart. They still need to work on their produce, however. It is lacking in what appears to be freshness. You can find every conceivable canned or frozen item. Unfortunately, many of the offerings are definitely NOT those one would find in an upscale grocery store. High-fructose corn syrup, 60% and above calories from fat and preservative-filled food seem to be the rule. The fresh vegetable section is seriously lacking, par for the course for the state with the highest chronic obesity rate in the US. If you're looking for last-minute convenience items on the way to Snowshoe, by all means come here. If you're looking for a week's shopping list, go down an hour on Highway 92 to White Sulphur Springs and shop at the Food Lion.
