This place is awesome! Service - A+++ This place has a very friendly staff. They go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. My wife and I felt like we were part of the family. Site- B+ The campground itself was well maintained. There are some good views and nice places to walk your dogs if you have any. There are also bathrooms and showers to use free of charge. Bathrooms were VERY clean and well maintained. The benches that were at the campsites were adequate but a little worn out and our bench has a lot of bird poop on it. Not a big deal though. Price - A+ We payed $45 for the night but that includes those clean bathrooms and showers and full hookups at our site. Also, we were a last minute check in. We just randomly rolled in and even though they were booked they did not over charge us. This place is outstanding and I will definitely return. It's a solid spot with a great staff. As with all my reviews I wish google had a better rating system. I wish you could rate places on more than one category. Positives: The mature trees are a nice reprieve from the sweltering 100 degree weather. There is a decent Green common area. The owners seems to be pretty nice. I like the funky a little run down but clean feel of the place. They let you borrow something from the DVD collection for the night. Negatives: The two biggest draw backs from this place are the google photos expectations of the place & the TinYYYY camp sites. We were on the road figuring out our next stop and came across this campground via a google search. I'm not sure if the owners had there friends post on google or some photo happy tourist posted a bunch of road trip photos. The photos of the place show buffaloes and a pool. We were coming off the road from an 10 hr drive of 100+ deg weather and looking forward to a dip in the pool. When we enquired about the pool at checkin the owners said OH we filled the pool in when we bought the place... The place was a KOA before we bought it and KOA's required a pool. It's so much better without a pool... I was thinking to myself better for whom??! There was a half a dozen photos of the local hot springs pool. This put a big hole of disappointment into arriving. Secondly the site we were going to stay in was taken over by the neighboring camper so we had to go to another spot since they had setup a campfire and were eating dinner at our table when we arrived. Overall is was a pretty disappointing stay but we tried to stay out of the campground as much as possible to enjoy Thermopiles. read more

Very friendly staff and great facility. Welcoming and helpful, amenities were nice, we really enjoyed ourselves. After guiding us through the spot, the owner took the time to explain some of the cool attractions in Thermopolis. I had forgotten lighter fluid and he let me borrow some free of charge. There's a great playground for my kids to play on. There's also free cable, a good selection of free DVDs, and a book swap. I noticed in one of the other reviews a complaint about the price, but I thought the price was extremely reasonable for what was offered. Would stay here every time. read more

What a great little gem. Our family has been on the road for a week and we are passing through Thermopolis on the way out to Mt Rushmore and stopped at Eagle RV park. Super happy friendly and helpful staff, power, water, laundry, showers, WiFi. Just what we needed (we had only have power in two parks before this and none of the other stuff). Cute little town and close to the Springs for a nice soak. Family friendly. And they have little cabins as well. Small kids area, and a picnic area with BBQs for you to cook out! read more

Best Rv park service ever. Even when I called, Dennis was so helpful, making sure we could get 2 spots together. He and his family run this place since may 2014, and you can feel their kindness throughout this place. Shady level Rv spots, nice grassy tent spots, and tiny cute cabins, just across from the river. We were amazed at how clean and attractive the bathrooms were. Dog friendly and person friendly;) They even brought in a Great diesel mechanic when our truck needed a repair and he saved us $400-500 and got the job done great in one night with a house call! The stay here at Eagle RV park was amazing! It fit our family and friends (16 people) comfortably. The sites and the bathrooms were very clean! The staff was SO FRIENDLY and accommodating. We were greeted with smiles and kindness. They were knowledgeable about the fun places to go to in the area as well! Our kids had a blast playing at the park onsite!! it was super family friendly!! The location is very close to fun parks and beautiful sites! This place deserves 5 stars for sure!! read more

We have a 44ft toy hauler, tight parking, the camp hosts escort you to your spots. The spots are super close to each other with nice trees. This rv camp like the others, its in the town. This one is next to residential. The dog walk area is the grass outside the park on the Main Street. Great water pressure, cable, WiFi, and good signal. If you ride your bike to the state park it's 3.5 miles. The state park has a great road to watch buffalo and ride your bikes! read more

It's not the park, it's the owners! They are so friendly and willing to help with anything. Dood ( yep, that's his name) is extremely helpful in most anything you need. We couldn't figure out the cable TV and he came to "educate" us. He is the hardest working young adult I've met. When he is not helping others he is mowing the lawn or other park responsibilities. They are compassionate, too. A vet came in, asking for a place to stay as they had traveled very far and just too tired to continue. The park management found a place for them even tho the park was full. The park is gravel with a little grass. many trees so its hard to get a satellite connection.Nice, clean bathroom/showers and laundry. DVDs available to borrow, no charge. No pool but they offer tubing down the Big Horn River. We were here 2 nights with our 36' 5th wheel. Spots are wide enough for slide outs. Wifi is excellent. Full hookups. This is the most family friendly run RV Parks, which we have experienced in our travels over the past few years. Dennis, Kristine & Dood provide a well kept RV Park and personally walk their customers to their site when checking in. Best RV park we have ever stayed at. We stayed here while I worked outside of Thermopolis for 7 months. The owners are some of the best people we have ever met. We have a 38' 5th wheel camper and it fit easily. It's super quiet and has gorgeous trees. They also have propane there so never had to load bottles up and go get them filled. They also have ice in the office so we could avoid gas station stops on the way to Boysen Lake in the summer. read more

The bathrooms are new, entire park is clean and all amenities are well cared for. You can tell when owners/hosts take pride in their business and it shows here! The sites are shaded and private. We have been at this RV spot for several days, and will stay again next time we are in the area. CLEAN and safe, with hosts that are wonderful. Much privacy in a spot with dappled sunshine. One downside is the road noise but that settles down just about the time I was ready to retire, so really no big deal. You will be happy with the accommodations! read more

I really liked this place. The owner was very friendly and thorough and let us know about all of the nearby attractions. The park was organized albeit the spaces were close together. But everyone was very friendly and we were able to make friends with a fun couple from San Antonio who gave us hints on Yellowstone as it was our first trip and their fourth. The shop had fresh local corn and the bathrooms were clean and showers very nice and roomy. I would definitely stay there again and after renting the RV, I may buy one as the experience was really fun. Thermopolis was also great with the free hot springs park and the nearby other sites. WiFi was very fast and park was low noise and we slept very well. read more

This place is a hidden gem. The customer service was excellent and the park has everything you need. What I appreciated most was the area they had to wash your dishes in. They had 3 huge stainless steel sinks with hot water. The laundry facilities were not too expensive. It was $1.75 for washing your clothes and $1.00 for drying. We stayed in the Bunk House camping cabin. It was only $50 a night and slept 5 people. read more

This RV park is for people who stay long term or prefer to sit inside their RV and watch TV all day and night. DO NOT camp here if you want to sit around a camp fire and enjoy time with friends and family. Quiet time starts at 10:00pm. We were cleaning up and putting out our campfire at 9:50pm and another guest came over and yelled at us for being too loud. It wasn't even 10pm yet! We were so turned off by this. I think a large problem is everything is this place is a bit overcrowded and RV's are on top of each other. There is no privacy here. Not only are guests rude, but the staff are rude too. The younger woman who works there was uninterested and rude during check in and check out. One morning we went to the office to try out their free coffee. The office opens at 8:00am. We stopped by at 8:45am. The office door was closed with no sign. We knocked and even peered through the window. No one was in there. We look over towards the grill area and we see the young woman sitting there just watching us. She didn't even get up to see what we needed. She just ignored us. The next morning, she is speeding through the RV park on her 4 wheeler at 7:30am! They are so strict with quiet hours being 10pm-8am, yet she's speeding through the park on her super loud 4 wheeler waking everyone up. Thermopolis is super cool. We enjoyed the hot mineral pools, shopping at the delightful shops around town, and fishing on the Big Horn. However, we will not be returning to this RV park. read more

Traveling with friends in 2 RV's and they had never been to Thermopolis or camped. This was the best kept secret RV spot after leaving Yellowstone. We found the park after checking out another (which shall remain nameless) and decided to stay because of friendliness, cleanliness of the facilities, and the rates were great for the night. Small park, but ideal for us. Run by people who care. The owner even steered us to the best restaurant in town at the Airport/Golf course and we had a fantastic meal with our friends, who were totally pleased. I'll start by saying that the owner is one of the nicest and most helpful guys I have ever met. Next, the campground was very nice with lots of space and was very clean. There are a ton of trees and the way it sits down in a dip I did not feel any wind at all, our entire stay. Now onto the bathrooms and showers. Very tight parking spaces, way too close, way overpriced. The neighbors sewer hose connected under the picnic table for our site. No room to put up a chair to sit out; couldn't use picnic table because of sewer hose. No parking at the site unless you want to be in the road, we were told to park beside our unit, car being in the roadway. Neighbor had it worse; he had to park his toad by the playground, out of site of his unit. The gentleman who parked us was friendly enough, told us to park and set up then go check in but check-in was handled by a young man who could not have been less interested. No enthusiasm for the town or suggestions on what to see or do. These spaces are so close it is ridiculous. If this park limited itself to 32 feet and under, it would probably be ok...but they are not big rig friendly, turns are tight and roads are narrow. The morning we left our neighbor informed us he would not be disconnecting or moving his truck which was parked in the road. We had to back out of a pull thru space to leave. There are a couple of good size spaces, but these are apparently for locals and repeat business, not overnight or those staying a couple of days. When I made the reservation, I specially asked not to be near the playground. We were given the space closest to a very busy playground. We would not stay here again and would not recommend it, especially for big rigs. read more

Changed planned to stay in Thermopolis on the way to Yellowstone after finding out about the hot springs and the dino dig. we only stayed for one night but we had a great experience. We stayed in the Bear cabin and I was very surprised. On our trip we stayed in 3 different campground in cabin and this was the cheapest and the most comfortable. They had nice thick mattresses on the beds that where very comfortable. The office staff was very nice and gave us direction to the places we wanted to see. The kids where a little bummed that the playground was closed but it was only because the re-stained the swing set and it looked great. Over all it was a great experience and I would recommend staying here. read more
