    The service was top notched and the front desk assistant was very helpful. I left out a star due to the wait time for a rear Apple screen.

We have been back several times (at least 5-6) to repair broken tablet screens, motherboards, software/update issues and more on different devices. Randy is knowledgeable, always friendly and welcoming and helpful in explaining the issues. We've had same day repairs and some that took a day or more, but all repairs felt quick and efficient with the corresponding problem, which we really appreciate given our children's need for the devices. The technician that we worked with was Randy. She was very patient explaining all of the options we had for our equipment problems. There was a gentleman there that I talked to about getting my Android phone screen fixed and he quickly told me what he would need to do and he gave me an estimate. And he was always very professional and asked if I had any questions.     Brought a Roland Guitar synthesizer in for quote and possible repair on 4-26-26 , it sat there for…read morea couple weeks , I had emailed them with the info on typical repair from a retired Roland Guitar specialist to help because I was not sure of there knowledge on repairing these. Not one time did I receive any correspondence regarding my equipment . When I did call no one seemed to know anything about it. I only called twice and went into the store once to check on it. The last time I called they threw out a number of $1500 for cost of repair without any explanation of repair , no written quote nothing. I told the guy I would be there Saturday to pick it up. He stuttered , ummmm we will have to make sure its back together. I said thats fine make sure its ready I will be there Saturday. I picked it up today 5-9-26 and I can tell you it did not look as though it had been touched because everything in the case with the guitar was exactly as I left it. The girl was very nice as she was the same person who took in my equipment and took my $150. The $1500 quote they tossed out didn't bother me in fact I would have paid it if they would been honest and corresponded with me. But thats ok, I got my stuff back and paid $150 for nothing , lesson learned! This was the Enterprise location!

    I would not recommend this store to dust off the screen of a phone or tablet much less attempt to…read morerepair it. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. We took an iPad 3 to iFix on December 20th to have a broken screen replaced. We called later that evening and went to pick it up after they said it was complete. We tested the iPad while at the store in front of Tyler, an iFix employee, and the power button wouldn't work, the magnetic closure to put the iPad to sleep wouldn't work, and you couldn't lock/unlock the iPad. They also scratched the body of the iPad around the edges when they replaced the screen. Tyler made a note of the issues and agreed we could bring the iPad back for repair after the Christmas holiday. While we had it, the screen detached from the iPad body. We took it back to iFix on or about January 9th. We had to swipe (erase all content) off the iPad for them to repair it, so we had to buy a new one to replace this one in the interim. We have received NO communication from anyone with iFix since that time unless we've called for a status. We have called numerous times to speak with the manager, David and Tyler the original employee dealing with us on this. Each time it's the same story...they're working on it and since that time, David is no longer with them. I emailed all of the contacts on the Corporate iFix website and never received a response. The employee we were dealing with, Tyler, can't tell us anything and he said the district manager was now handling our case. Amber Wells, the District Manager with iFix, and they would not agree to refund the $196.19 we paid for the screen replacement and she said they can't repair it. I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint in March and iFix never responded to it. The leasing manager, Rhonda Clark, at Wiregrass Commons Mall has attempted to get this resolved with the owner but has not been successful. Apparently there are other customers who have complained to the mall management because iFix won't stand behind their work, lack of work, or whatever you wish to call their shoddy attempt at service. It is May 21, 2014 and they STILL have my iPad. Nearly 6 months later and nothing from them...no attempt at resolution at all. At the very minimum, they should refund what I paid for the repair. Unfortunately now, I have no confidence that the iPad will ever work the same even if someone else replaces the screen. PLEASE don't make the mistake of taking any devices to this store. 1/7/15 Update @ the request of Tyler from iFix who stated that I've continually bashed this business. That is absolutely not the case and everything I've stated above is the truth and I have all of the documentation to prove it. On September 17, 2014 I filed a Statement of Claim with Small Claims Court in Houston County, Alabama. I received an email from Chris Kelley, Owner of iFix, on September 29 in response to the Small Claims Court claim that was served at his business. His email was attached to a reply to my email from February 12, 2014 in which I was begging anyone to respond in an effort to get this situation resolved. The case was dismissed on October 7, 2014 at my request because we settled out of court. iFix reimbursed me $1,030.10, for the price of a new iPad, court filing fees, and the amount we paid for repair...9 almost 10 MONTHS after I took the iPad to them. I stand by my rating of this business and would not recommend anyone conduct business with them for the simple reason that you can't depend on them to promptly address any issues or escalate them to the appropriate management entities if the store is unable to resolve them. While the situation was eventually resolved, it absolutely should NOT have required legal involvement, which was a last resort. Excuses were given such as transitioning of management and lack of communication but it is inexcusable that it took 9 months and small claims court to get the situation resolved.

But for the sake of other consumers, I feel it important to alert anyone considering Guru Electronics to do Due Diligence before engaging them. In short, they failed to show up for two different appointments, and did not notify us that they would not be honoring their commitments - thus wasting two entire days of our time. Foolishly, I called them after the second no-show to try to schedule another visit. They pushed us off another full week. I reluctantly agreed to yet another week's delay, but requested that we be scheduled as their first appointment of that day, so we wouldn't have to be sitting around the house for another full day hoping that they might show up. The manager told us that their technician would be working in both Jacksonville and St Augustine that day, so she could not give me a timeframe when the technician would show up. BTW, there was not even a hint of an apology for Guru having missed their two previous commitments. As long as Customer Service is not a priority for you in your own project, maybe Guru could be the right place for your work.

    I had no idea what this business was about until I tried to get a battery for my laptop. I needed…read morea battery for my Apple computer. Apple directed me to Best Buy in Destin. I stopped in and was informed they didn't have batteries and would have to send the computer out to a company and it would be $89 for the shipping. They said I should try Batteries and Bulbs in Ft Walton, where we were staying. If they had batteries but couldn't put them in then Best Buy could install it for $40. I called Batteries and Bulbs and they told me that they didn't have any batteries and didn't have anyone to install them. I then tried calling a Batteries Plus and the person who answered was the one I had just talked to at Batteries and Bulbs. Ironically when she answered the phone when I called Batteries and Bulbs she answered " Batteries Plus" and I asked her if this was Batteries and Bulbs and she said yes. Not sure what that was all about but this time she directed me to uBreakiFix by Asurion. When I called to inquire if the had Apple computer batteries I reached and answering machine telling me I could set up an appointment. I hung up and drove to the store. There was nobody there at the time so I was taken care of right away. This was on a Monday and they Had my computer ready by Thursday. They sell insurance plans for $29. A month and you can use it to fix any electronic in your home. With 2 Apple laptops, iPhones, iPads, tvs etc. It sounded like a good deal. $50 was knocked off the repair price and when I said I needed a new screen protector for my iPhone they tole me with purchasing the insurance I would get it free and they put it on for me. Since I was visiting from WI and never heard of the company, I was surprised to learn they were national. It's nice to know there is a reputable electronic repair store in town.
