We decided…read moreto expire and Stay and play in Ohio during Father's Day weekend, Saturday we played Cumberland Trails, had a great time, Sunday we played The Virtues Golf Club, Started out we were disappointed, Their were no directions or signs to the first tee, no started. We got a lecture about reporting to the 1st hole late. We explained that this is our first time here and no one was available to provide us directions. I have to say the course layout is beautiful but definitely not set up for convenience. I walked more with a cart then I would've played 18 holes walking at Raymond's GC. During our round we had a group 3 holes behind us and a group 2 holes ahead of us and we were playing pretty quick, even with all the walking. Out of no where at the 8th hole a Ranger confronted our group saying that we need to pick it up, and he stay larking around watching us like we were on the clock, obviously that pissed off the group and created a irritation round of golf. A few of the guys were thinking about quitting after the 1st 9 holes. I've played my share of Country Courses and for $140.00/round the customer service and experience was horrible. The carts were junk, feeling like it was going to die. It's safe to say that we will never play The Virtues Golf Club again. I giving 2 stars because the layout was beautiful, which I can see in a magazine.

While it certainly lacks the upkeep you would expect it is still fun to play and at a very reasonable price. The fairways are burnt out and the tee boxes are pretty brutal (keep in mind I'm playing this in late august), but the greens were in decent condition. The clubhouse attendant was incredibly nice and after noticing my car had a low back rear tire, the staff filled up the air in my tire unprovoked during the round. Overall, the course itself was a 2.5/5 but at the price you pay, and the customer service, I give it a 4/5.

This is what happens when you put your "child" in charge of something they have no experience with. Was once a pristine golf course.........not any more...........course needs someone with golf course maintenance skills......fairways and teeboxes unmowed.....greens brown and burned out..........such a shame considering what this course once was.

I've enjoyed days by the pool, dinner, and multiple weddings over the years. For starters, the Zanesville Country Club and golf course is right smack dab in the middle of Zanesville. When you arrive, there is plenty of parking and the building is easy to access with stairs and a ramp. The swimming pool is obviously around back but the dining room and bar is there as soon as you walk in. The place is decorated nicely but it's a little more traditional. The bathrooms are kept very nice and clean, which is always a plus. The food I've had is good, not great but the shining star goes to the overall experience. The service here is always amazing. The wait staff is quick and attentive to get you what you want. When it comes to the weddings I've attended here, they've all been rather amazing. The green obviously makes for a beautiful back drop and the ballroom is perfect for a big celebration. As a guest, everything always appears to be running smoothly and that's super important. I definitely see the appeal in this place!

Came out here and met a friend on the weekend. Lots of campers, I did not realize how many would…read morebe out RV camping, hmmm.. must be camping season. But anyways, that did not deter me, but the course does play along a few RV camping sites. Park at the camp store and hole #1 is up the stairs on the back side of the bldg. Hole #10 is across the street from the store, in the woods. Great challenge of holes. Some really long ones and not many short ones. Most averaged between 250-300 ft. I really liked some of the elevation changes and the general layout and use of the land. Definitely worth stopping here if you are close by or on your way thru the area.

The course was a nice condition. The greens were nice. The weather was just about perfect summer weather the bar area that we ate at had food and just took a little while to get served because they were so busy. I would definitely return. The pricing was very reasonable considering it was a weekday outing seem to be pretty popular with lots of local golfing also
