When we came for the hearing test 2 years ago, it was my mom's very first hearing test. I knew she needed a hearing aid but my mom was in denial. When the doctor confirmed it and showed her the hearing test, my mom broke down crying. The staff were so nice and kind to my mom. They helped her calm down and recommended her to get a hearing aid. We came back recently for an updated hearing test and once again staff was very nice and thorough with my mom. She has gotten over the denial and wears her hearing aids now thanks to the staff here and their advice and kindness. The only con is that the patient restrooms are not clean and should be cleaned more regularly

I made an appointment with Dr. Park based on nothing more than his proximity to my apartment (and his acceptance of my insurance), but the treatment and diagnosis I got was nothing short of life-changing. Based on a endoscope, and a few questions, Dr. Park figured out what was causing my sore throats and gave me practical, simple things to change about my lifestyle that would help. He didn't rush to medicate me, he took time to hear my concerns and questions, and really gave me some great insights into how to keep my throat healthy. Also, his office is run entirely with Macs. My grandpa comes to the office for wax removal which is good The complaint is w the unsanitary state of the waiting area. There is no air in the upper part of this sun room office. And during a visit. A woman was coughing incessantly in the office and not wearing a mask. She blew her nose and then proceeded to use the locked door that a patient has to physically touch and pull to open. I don't know how doctor's offices get away with not having handicap opening doors but they must find a better way to accommodate their patients. Some who are elderly. The office itself is in a poorly maintained building.

(I was so grateful they were open. What medical practice is open Christmas Eve?) Can't remember the name of the PA I saw at that time, but he was very knowledable & pleasant. The wait time both times was minimal. Office staff helpful & professional. Today I saw Dr. McClendon & both my husband (who was in the room with me) & I thought he was terrific. He explained everything in very easy to understand language. He answered all of our questions. Great bedside manner. Never felt rushed. Am thankful that when you get sick on holidays or weekends, Throgs Neck Walk In Urgent Care is open. It beats the heck out of waiting hours hours in an Emergency Room.
