01/17/2024 I was on the hunt for Tropical Fields Organic Crispy Coconut Rolls 11 oz bags? I have been paying $17 per bag on Amazon, but they are soooo delicious I did not care. At any rate, a friend reached out and said she saw themon Earls Auction. I found Ava Organics Organic Coconut Crispy Rollers 14.1 oz bags. I bid and won 10 bags for $36 so $3.60 per bag. I was so happy! I saved a lot of money them and they bags are larger. My worry was did Ava Organics taste as good as Tropical Fields. Well to answer that question heck yeah they taste better! Yum! I paid for my winning and drove out to the Auction house to pick up my 'prize.' Extremely easy process. I checked in, went to the slot on the dock that she told me to go to. I backed in and a gentlemen brought the items out and I pushed them onto my truck. It was just that easy. I was in and out. The only problem I had was not at all with Earls Auction it was that I had just placed another order for two Tropical Fields smaller bags on Amazon at the higher rate. Earl's is a well-established auction house located on the west side of Indy. Currently they're offering convenient online bidding through a service called Hibid. I bid and won both a chair and what I thought was a rolling file cabinet. The items appear to be returns and/or close out items from Sam's Club most recently. Fortunately I'd checked the prices beforehand and bid accordingly, so I did pay less than retail. Pro tip: there is a 15% buyers premium added to your total final bid, so make sure to factor that in! There is generally one day available for pick up, no exceptions. Once you pay for your purchase in the office area, your item(s) are sat on a convenient loading dock. You can back up into the dock, load your purchases and off you go. As I mentioned previously I did order an item which I thought was a rolling file cabinet. It was apparently mislabeled at the factory, because it was actually a desk riser when I opened the box. I called Earl's and was instructed to return the item at my convenience for a full refund, no questions or issues. I recently took a chance and bidded at this auction and when I was bidding on the 3 items on my watchlist, I noticed another bidder running up the bid on all 3 of the items I was bidding on. I was curious and started looking at the bidders list on other items and noticed that same bidder running up the bid pass $50 and $100 as that increases the increments for new bids. Needless to say, all bidders need to watch for unscrupulous actions at this auction. read more

Today we spent 8 hours at Earls Auction on Lafayette Rd. We have been going there for many years, but it's been awhile since we've come. You can count on buying some exquisite jewelry for a very good price. They often advertise high quality new furniture and they really bring it! I went looking for a new couch, but I have to be careful of what material I get due to our two yr old German Shepherd. Now we begin training to keeping her off of our couch so when we do find the right one it stays nice! Now the bad thing about Earl's auction and why I gave only a three is that the merchandise is so packed in that you can't see what he is selling. The men can't hold up a sofa or a cabinet or a bed. You can't walk and get to the stuff to see it either. There's a lot in the other room so he's saying what he's selling so hopefully you have memorized everything there that you might be interested in. People are standing everywhere so if you think you can just go see, well, you can't!! I highly recommend that a screen be put in the main room and a camera be put over by the packed furniture and in the other room so everyone can see exactly what is being sold. That would move the auction up to 5 stars for me and I bet I'm not the only one. read more

They have a hidden 15% buyers premium. They don't advertise it on any main page. You really have to investigate and search for in drop down tabs to find it. I don't recommend purchasing from them considering how much extra you have to pay after you think you have won with a winning bid read more

Earls Auction damaged an item I won on their online auction site. I was notified when in route to pick up. The item was worth 4 times the amount of my winning bid. I get there and was told that I did not own it since I hadn't paid yet so I am not out anything. Preceded to get yelled out by employees for being upset about the damage. Offered no sorry or even a discounted buyer premium on other items won. Just yelled out and told you either can pay for your other items and take them or just leave them. read more

Worst auction house experience ever. They posted pictures of items that they did not intend on auctioning off and they were completely rude. Don't waste your time coming here. They will push cheap tools in your face for hours instead of placing the items for auction that were featured in their auction photos. Bait and switch. They lure you in with photos of new furniture and planters and nice items but instead push cheap hand tools. I will not go back. read more

Over the years I have spent well over $20,000 at Earl's. I don't want to go into detail as I'm afraid I will have more bidding competition.

Be careful if you go to this place . Earl got caught today upping bids. Make sure you know what your bid is, because when he closes it out, he'll close it at a higher amount than your original bid. Watch this guy closely if you decide to buy from this auction. read more
