Some background: Our house is 18 years old, we've lived in it for 7 years, & are the 3rd owners. We noticed that our A/C vent covers looked really bad (dirty). I removed the covers & was disgusted by what I saw...gross dirt & dust buildup & the air ducts had layers upon layers of thick dirt (similar to a laundry dryer vent on its worse day!). I decided to research air duct cleaners on Yelp & Google reviews. Sam of My Man Air Duct Cleaning promptly returned my call & listened to my concerns. I felt so comfortable speaking with him on the phone (no sales pitches, no trying to sell me other products, no BS), and I booked an appt with him on the spot. When he showed up, he was wearing a mask & was ready to get to work. He provided an extremely thorough cleaning...even showing me the gross buildup lodged in my vents. We had the company install new wrought iron railings on our front steps in Feb '25. They did a very…read morenice job at a fair price but unfortunately there was collateral damage when they cut through piping for my irrigation system to install the concrete footing. I was aware that their contract contains a disclaimer for such events. Nevertheless they offered to fix the damage. About a month later a very nice fellow showed up late one afternoon, took one look at the problem and went off in search of parts. It started raining heavily so he never came back. I mean he NEVER came back. Ever. A few weeks later I decided to fix it myself only to discover that the installers had poured the concrete block AROUND the cut end of the irrigation hose, making it impossible to use to install a replacement head. Instead I had to spend much time and effort digging a semicircular trench to find the other end in order to repair the system. I understand that stuff happens, but this was sloppy and unavoidable. And what happened to that first repair guy after the company offered to fix it? We have nice railings now but the whole thing was a headache.
