The owner claimed there were issues in the Raleigh area in early December 2024, and said his workers could not come to work, which caused repeated delays. During installation, the crew--who did not speak English--placed the fence too close to my neighbor's house. When I raised the issue, they refused to move it. They claimed I had instructed them to place it there, which is incorrect, and the owner also refused to correct the placement. About six months after the fence was installed, it started falling apart. There are now large gaps between the doors, and although they said the wood was pressure-treated, it's already buckling. I've tried reaching out multiple times, but they refuse to return my calls or fix the problems

We also got quotes from other companies who had done the fences of our neighbors and all of the quotes for very close in price. Big Jerry's had someone out quickly to do the measurements (we preferred this to the online measure) and they were very communicative. They were also very helpful with sketches and measurements for the HoA. In order to get on the schedule, one must pay a 60% deposit. The schedule was about two months out for us. Big Jerry's also takes care of calling 811 prior to the installation date. The 811 person came about three days before the fence install. In the end, we had about 510 feet of fencing . Nelson was the main crew leader and he was excellent and friendly. The install took three days to complete (with 2-3 people working each day); we also had some rocky terrain. I also appreciated that Nelson reviewed the property lines again before installation and we came across a two foot encroachment along ~100 feet that hadn't been picked up by anyone. Thankfully the house next door was still under construction and we were able to rectify the issue quickly. Our yard slopes and Nelson and his team did a great job with installing the fence with the grade. We had a handyman here doing other work who also commented on the solid install job. We went with the Bellhaven model (pictured). My only complaint is that after sending the balance the day the job was done, I got a past due email the very next day! I had expected to have a few days to confirm there were no issues with the job prior to paying the balance. Fortunately, there was no additional "late" charge. I highly recommend Nelson of the Big Jerry's crew to do your fence.

I stated that I was in Greensboro, and was unaware of the fact that I needed to be home when the installers arrived she absolutely flew off the handle and threatened to "charge me" for wasting her installers time. I apologized, and stated that I was more than willing to reschedule if needed, but apparently, " rescheduling, wasn't an option." the installers ended up being able to wait until I was able to arrive back home. Fencing companies are a diamond dozen, take your money to one that actually treats their customers with kindness!

I placed my first order in October 2025 for FireSmart corrugated panels and steel posts. Paid in full upfront. That was 179 days ago. I have received nothing. In January 2026, I placed a second order for welded wire panels and custom gates. Still nothing. Both orders paid in full, sitting in their hands. I have been given SEVEN different shipping dates. Every single one was missed. Promises #1 and #2-"Departing November 21" (reversed 3 days later). Then "early January" (nothing arrived). Promises #3 and #4- "On or around March 15" (ghosted). Then "March 301" (no shipping info sent). Promises #5 and #6-"April 9" (truck only "80% loaded"). Then "early next week" (left voicemail, no response). When I asked "how do I know you won't push it back on me again," their rep felt the need to write: "BarrierBoss is a real company... I would never work for a company I believed was scamming people." I never asked that question. She volunteered it. Promise #7-Now May 5. They sent a photo claiming to show my product in their yard, but the image has visible distortion in the background (circled) suggesting it may have been digitally altered. And they only confirmed seeing one of my two orders - the larger order wasn't mentioned at all. I've been rotated through five different reps in five months. Each one introduces themselves, gives a new date, and disappears. I was promised a call from their production manager- never happened. I'm a small business owner with clients waiting on this material. I've had to tell them six separate times that the product would arrive, and six times I was wrong. That's my reputation on the line because of their broken promises. Their invoice said "BARRIERDIRECT-Made by Us. Moved by Us. No Transfers. No Surprises." The only thing that wasn't a surprise was being let down again. If you're considering BarrierBoss: get a delivery date in writing with a penalty clause, or don't place the order. Better yet, find a supplier that actually has product to ship

I personally will NEVER order from this vendor, no matter how low their pricing appears. Be cautious of their telephone reps, the rapid responses to criticism indicate frequent occurrence. And also note their assurances about early shipment are not realistic.
