We are young, new owners, and have only had the trailer for about 3 years. They were able to schedule us within 2 weeks and came out and did a thorough review of our entire trailer. (They also had to come back to help repair our hitch and were able to do that within a week--unheard of!) We are not experts in trailer upkeep or maintenance--like I said, this is our first, and we are young (in our 30s), not retired, each work more than 50 hours a week in high stress jobs, and do our best but can't always keep up. They found and saved us from some serious water heater issues, and helped us reshape a bent hitch (we caught a curb on a dip and our hitch was at a very weird non-vertical angle). They aren't cheap, but that is made up by the fact that they come to you and they have everything--literally everything--you could possibly need. During our tune-up, they found an extra latch for our screen door, welded our hitch, completely flushed our water heater, ensured our axle was straight (and ended up tightening our bearings), and basically inspected all of our electrical, sealants, and A/C mount. They also gave us a ton of stellar advice about a weight distribution hitch, general towing tips, loading/weight rules, etc. We are ready for our next adventure (here we come, Tahoe, Burning Man, and hopefully next year we can go all the way up to Alaska!) and plan to make Pitstop part of our annual/biannual maintenance routine. We strongly recommend them to anyone who 1) doesn't want to tow their trailers to some sketchy trailer shop and leave it there for days on end, 2) doesn't have endless time to DIY all of their trailer maintenance, or 3) isn't an expert in all things trailer repair and maintenance!

Erik met us at a state park to do a detailed inspection of a fifth wheel we recently purchased…read more This is the first time we have had an RV inspection, it was similar to a home inspection (including the detail and format of the report you receive). The thing that was different from a home inspection is that Erik took extra time to point out the various issues he found, explaining them in detail and answering my questions along the way. I learned a ton about my trailer in the process, and we got a detailed report full of useful information and tips about operating it, major issues that need repair, etc. I'd definitely recommend Erik, he's very knowledgeable and has been working with RVs (and is an owner himself) for a long time. He's great to work with, and is detailed and thorough in his inspection.

I called the day after I arrived and let them know I was in town and flexible for the next three weeks and would be available at whatever time of day they could fit me in for a few issues I was having with my RV. The receptionist asked me to put my RV issues in an email so she could send them to the technician. I did the same day and prioritized the issues so that if they only had time to assist me with one of the four, at least I'd have one of them fixed. The issues I had weren't out of the ordinary or difficult problems. I just needed help from an expert. That was Monday. By Friday, I had not received a reply to my email or a returned phone call. I called again the following Monday. She said she would remind the technician about the email and that they would get back to me. I waited until Friday and, again...nothing. I called back again, left a message. The receptionist called me back about an hour after I had left the message and told me they weren't able to fit me into their schedule. This was on a Friday, after 2pm. If you own an RV, you know how difficult it is to find anyone on a weekend. After two of the three weeks I was here I waited for them to give me the courtesy of returning my email and/or my phone call. At no time did they say there was a possibility of not fitting me into their schedule. At the very least, she could have given me that information and the name of another reputable RV tech in the area. She apologized and THEN gave me the name of another company in the area, but also mentioned she wasn't sure if they were any good. I'm still frustrated and now I have only one week to find someone to help me or risk traveling to another city and hope for the best. I don't think I feel this frustrated if they would have simply told me they were too busy during my first conversation with them. It would have given me more time to find someone else.
