If 5 NEGATIVE stars were possible, I would give them. Thank God for Andy, the innkeeper of The Windsor Mansion, DJ Nick and Sharon, our wedding coordinator. The bride and groom selected EBC almost two years in advance of their wedding date. They were thrilled with the tasting and the opportunity to help a young couple starting out in business. Given the horrific experience we had this past Saturday I can only assume the half of the couple responsible for early positive reviews flew the coop- and took responsibility, attention to detail and professionalism with her. EBC showed up well over an hour late with cold food. Guests were hungry. EBC did not bring the contracted silverware, plates or two of the side dishes. Andy, the innkeeper had to scramble to find forks and paper plates for guests to eat with. DJ Nick had to rearrange timing of the speeches to fill in the dead time and distract hungry guests. He felt so bad for what happened to us he stayed late so guests could get the "dancing time" that was stolen by delayed food service. EBC blamed their late arrival time and other failures on miscommunication and Devon having a "bad night" with a "Bridezilla" the prior evening. The very delayed cocktail "charcuterie board" had all the elegance of a greasy Walmart cold cut platter and not enough food was provided. Sharon had to assemble a salad to get something to still hungry guests. The venue does not allow kitchen access. This was clearly communicated to EBC during the contract phase. The bride and groom were assured no kitchen at the venue was no problem- the food would be made in advance, kept warm in commercial hot boxes and arrive ready to serve. EBC arrived at the venue not only very late but with cold food . Once again Andy came to the rescue. He graciously allowed EBC to use the oven in his kitchen. The food, once served was average at best; the only tasty dish was the pork. Devon's mother approached me, the MOB, during the reception while they were packing up to leave. I thought she was going to apologize. She asked for a tip. I was stunned. I did not want to make a scene in front of guests. I calmly explained that a gratuity was built into the contract- which it was and the contract was paid in full- which it was. She became aggressive and argued that the contract did not include a tip and it was customary and expected. They did not get another "tip". EBC was provided with all relevant contact information well in advance of the wedding: the venue, the DJ, the bar service and coordinator. The groom followed up prior to paying the balance and confirmed details. EBC never contacted the venue, the bar service or DJ. They responded once to multiple communication attempts by Sharon- after the balance was paid- with a text from Devon confirming EBC's arrival time. If you have a contract with EBC for an upcoming wedding or event- I am sorry. Do not pay the balance in advance of service. I would also have a very robust back-up plan. read more

After a lengthy and frustrating experience, I feel it is important to share my honest review of this caterer. We hired Deven Bora of Early Bird Catering for our wedding weekend 10/10/25-10/12/25 to handle the rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, dinner at the reception, dessert, and brunch the following morning. We paid for services that were not fully provided as contracted. He also arrived late for every event of the weekend. Our cocktail hour started at 5pm and he arrived at 4:50. He tried to get alcohol from the bar twice and brought his mom and sister to help him instead of the 8 staff members we paid for. Our other vendors (DJ, coordinator, venue owners, bartenders) were pulled from their duties to help him prepare and serve food. It was incredibly embarrassing and frustrating to have hired someone who knew in advance that they could not fulfill the contracted services and made a (less than) half hearted attempt anyway. He also had the audacity to email me following the weekend and ask us to consider a tip even though there were "a few delays" during the weekend. Planning a major event is stressful enough without having to worry about whether contracted services will be delivered. It has also tainted the memories of my wedding weekend which has made it difficult for me to enjoy my beautiful pictures, listen to the music we selected, write reviews for the vendors who did show up and do their jobs, send thank you notes, etc. It has made my wedding a painful memory that no amount of money can truly undo. Although it's a relief to finally have the matter resolved and the judgment ruled in our favor we would have much preferred for Deven / Early Bird Catering to honor its commitments. read more

EBC is incapable of performing catering for a Wedding Reception. For our September 2025 wedding, they failed to provide the following services which were included in the contract:  * EBC failed to provide one of the two entrees we contracted (it was sent to the WRONG VENUE!) * EBC served the wrong salad. * EBC did not provide table linens included in their contract. Our venue luckily had extras. * EBC did not set the table, wash dishes, or fill water glasses. They only sent a staff of 2-3 to take cater the reception of ~90 guests, and did not show up on time. ALL of these missing services were provided by our Wedding Planners, who thankfully were able to step in to minimize how late reception dinner was served. * EBC did not serve Dinner until 45-60 minutes later than contracted, and would've been even later if we did not have bespoke Wedding Planning staff available. * Most crucially, EBC specifically told us they could perform a celiac-friendly service. We told EBC of a wedding guest with severe celiac's who has previously had seizures from gluten exposure, asking if we should provide a separate GF meal for them. They guaranteed they could serve their gluten-free menu options without any cross contamination and would provide signage for GF safe items. At reception, they used the same tongs for the GF and non-GF rolls, and servers were not at all knowledgeable that the service was expected to be GF.  Our celiac wedding guests did not feel safe eating the meal after observing this and luckily our venue lodging was onsite so they could heat up a freezer meal instead.   The quality of the food served to our reception was decidedly lower than the food which was served to my wife and I during our tasting. Pasta sauce that was smooth and sweet with caramelized onions at the tasting was bland and chalky at reception. We specifically asked what their prep methods were for our steak protein, and were told they would be sous vide prepped offsite and seared onsite. They were not, and arrived to the venue with steaks already fully cooked hours previously (some of which barely cooked and quite rare). "Roasted potatoes" became plain steamed potatoes.  While EBC was punctual in the leadup to signing a contract, as soon as the contract was signed they nearly ghosted us. I on multiple occasions had to call and leave multiple messages when emails went unanswered for weeks at a time. We noticed the red flag and discussed terminated the contract, but ended up trusting. We should NOT have.    You cannot trust this company or Devon at their word. So please learn from our mistake and do not trust them with your catering needs, ESPECIALLY for an important event like your wedding. read more

Let's start with if you are hosting a hillbilly hoedown then maybe these people are for you but they will still be late, these people are by far the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL CATERERS I ever met, this was a black tie Christmas wedding over a year in the planning these people show up late ( said they couldn't make the hill even though a 100 + more people and vendors and a uber made it up with no problem plus if you are a vendor in VT you should know and be prepared for the conditions ) they show up in sweats and t-shirts to serve a black tie affair, they were RUDE to guests, bridesmaids, other vendors and even myself and I am mother of the bride, they swore at a couple people, they were seen drinking at our open bar, we rented champagne glasses and we got plastic glasses that we could have bought from Amazon ourselves and some were cracked, they were not put on the tables people had to walk up to get their own champagne for the toast, they were supposed to serve the appetizers instead they threw them on the table on paper plates and cups for people to help themselves and the BEST by far is they RAN OUT OF FOOD FOR ABOUT 30 PEOPLE even though they were told a higher number would be there so if everyone showed it would have been like 40 people, they never refilled water glasses and some people in the balcony got NOTHING, they left the kitchen a mess with food in the drains and the next morning have the audacity to text and want to know where their MANDATORY TIP IS are you serious and now he is ghosting them won't answer anymore text these people should not be in this business they are clueless with nothing but excuses if I could give minus stars I would because he is a clown but not a funny one he knows he was wrong and won't admit it you don't run a business like that, so heed warning DON'T let this FOOL RUIN YOUR WEDDING alot of money was paid and he is so NOT WORTH IT ALSO FOOD WAS NOT THE SAME AS TESTED SO DISGUSTED WITH THEM-------- Donna Clifford MOTHER OF THE BRIDE read more

They showed up with food, and guys were pleasant. Quality of food was a huge issue. Steak and chicken was so overcooked and dry I would have complained if it was supposed to be pot roast. Green beans were mush. I was told some people like their food that way, but nobody I know. I was told the meats continue to cook in travel. There is no way they could have cooked that much more unless they were already WAY overcooked. Was given small refund and told some people at the party said the food was good. If I could give 0 stars I would. Showed up 10 minutes before he was to serve dinner at my son's wedding. The food was dry and not even what they had ordered or we sampled. Short Ribs and Pot Roast are very different. The mash potatoes had absolutely no flavor and bacon wrapped asparagus had under cooked bacon and over cooked asparagus. The "short ribs" and chicken were dried out. The staff was rude as they were serving and as they cleaned up they were asking guests to hand them the trash (clean up is an extra charge)!!! Food was fine, service was shockingly bad. We had some issues during our corporate event that we wanted to discuss (both meals were delivered over 15 minutes late, some of the food was not hot, some of the dishes weren't clean, the staff didn't know their responsibilities and were asking our staff for guidance). In response to my email, instead of "I'm sorry that things weren't as expected, let's talk it through" I received an unbelievably rude phone call from an employee who yelled at me, wouldn't let me speak, (she actually spoke loudly over me to say "Let me talk, I'm not done" when I tried to suggest that she speak with my colleague) and then hung up on me. When I called back to speak with the owner I was told that I disrespected the employee who had called me by trying to interrupt her, the driver was late because he was new and didn't know how to do deliveries on his own and we should have helped him. When I suggested that this wasn't our job and we were busy in the meeting (since the delivery was late) I was told not to disrespect the Early Bird staff. The excuses and rude behavior continued (we didn't know the layout of the building, we didn't know if we were allowed to leave a burner, we don't know our way around, we've never been there). I had sent them info and contact for the venue ahead of time to avoid these issues. I was shocked by the unprofessionalism and utter lack of customer service and am shocked that Early Bird Catering is in business. I would not recommend using them. read more
