The market runs from 3 to 6 PM, and when we arrived around 4:30, it wasn't crowded at all, which allowed for great quality time with the vendors. The offerings included Wally's breads, gelato, produce, fresh-cut flowers, pickled goods, pies, Grand Isle Pasta, alcohol, maple syrup, and more. During our time there, we sampled pasta salad, Smuggler's Notch alcohol + maple syrup, and currant simple syrup + jam. We ended up buying bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup, currant simple syrup, garlic scapes pasta, and fresh eggs. Everything was reasonably priced and high quality. There was even live music! Such a nice experience overall, and knowing your supporting local makes it even better!

We follow, and have for many years followed, organic growing practices. We believe a healthy soil produces healthy animals and people. We select our vegetables for flavor and nutrient content rather than for machine harvesting and long shipment. Complementing the vegetables and flowers are pastured chickens, ducks, and pigs. The poultry and pigs use less prime land, keep pests down, and provide us with great entertainment. Our animals are not fed junk food. They are fed certified organic feed, supplemented with plants and insects that they find and our "seconds" vegetables. Our free-range, pastured hens are fed certified organic, non-GMO, feed, producing wonderful dark brown eggs. Eggs are available for purchase at the farmstand/farmstore and also through our Support a Hen CSA, providing eggs at a discount year-round. We open our public summer farmstand in May When we outgrow the farmstore with fesh growth. The summer farmstand stays open through October, when we move inside to the winter farmstore. Our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) membership program runs from June through October with vegetable, meat, eggs, and flower options.

There were a few vendors that we saw the day before in Burlington, but I love a good farmers market! I loved the cute coffee truck, and would have gotten a drink if we weren't heading to the restaurant. I ended up buying a cute card which I'll frame as a keepsake from our trip. The farmers market is every Sunday, 10 am-2 pm, May through October. Definitely stop by if you're in the area or waiting for brunch at Sneakers!

Lianne and Daniel did an excellent job catering our wedding. All of our guests were very impressed with the food and service, and the compliments just keep rolling in. From our first email exchange with Brandi during the winter through the day of the event in July, the staff at Let's Pretend were very communicative and professional. They helped us come up with a schedule for the day, and assisted us in putting up decorations and moving chairs and tables between the ceremony and dinner. This is really a full-service company. Even though we had less than 30 guests, the staff treated us like we were having a huge gala for hundreds of people (we were even lucky enough to have both owners, Daniel and Lianne, on-site the day of our wedding). They were willing to come all the way from Vermont, taking a ferry with all of their supplies, to make our big day amazing. Thank you!
