The staff that came to set up the food were friendly and pleasant to work with. They came the next day to pick up the dirty dishes which made everything so easy. The food was AMAZING. Seriously, everyone at the party couldn't stop talking about how amazing the food was. We had quiche, breakfast potatoes and the Mezze platter, as well as the lamb meatballs. Many people asked the name of the caterer to hire them in the future because the food was so great. I would 100% use them again for any event. Wonderful experience all around.

He's an expert; the way he talks about weddings immediately inspires confidence and calm. We were planning everything from out of state, and Luke made it remarkably easy and fun. My husband and I had the time of our lives at the tasting, and at the reception we must have heard about a hundred times that it was "the best wedding food ever," from guests. The presentation is out of a magazine... in fact, I believe they were recently featured in Vogue! (Congratulations, wonderful people!!) The menu options are unique, fresh, and basically all of our favorite foods. And speaking of favorite foods, they have these chargrilled oysters! I must have eaten a dozen of these, as the very kind staff kept walking them past my husband and I during cocktail hour. What a tremendously happy memory. I found…read moreThe Hindquarter through a Yelp event, to which they brought such tasty nibbles as smoked chorizo with tapenade, steak tartare on potato chips, spring rolls with julienned carrots and cucumbers, and lamb meatballs in a creamy cheese sort of sauce. The spring rolls were a flat experience, but it's truly in their meat that they shine. I tried their pork bahn mi at the ArtsRiot Friday food truck event. The meat was perfectly seasoned and seared, the flavors and texture well juxtaposed with pickled vegetables and grilled, buttery roll. For the work and expertise that goes into the meat preparation and flavor combinations, this sandwich was worth every penny of the $9 they were asking for it. I should not have tried it after a late lunch and on such a hot day, though: had I been profoundly hungry when I ordered it, I can only imagine that this would have been a wonder. Next time, I'll hit it up after the gym.

Unfortunately, I've spent a lot of time at UVM Medical Center over the past two months. And food is definitely a comfort to me, so I've checked out all the dining options. The Garden Atrium is the kind of place that almost makes you forget you're in a hospital. The menu features fresh ingredients, many of them local, and the presentation is as good as any upscale restaurant. The staff there seem to be well-versed in kindness - they greet you with a smile and a gentle tone. Really, if any staff happen to read this, THANK YOU for making my day brighter. You can get food to-go or order in. If you order in you get a device to put on your table that has a tracker in it and the staff can find you by it. That means once you order you can just kick back and relax. There are some books to peruse if you so choose. The breakfast items range from pastries to eggs to french toast. Lunch offers up soups, some unique salads, sandwiches, and a few tapas-style small plates. They have different, unique specials after day. The first item I got was the tomato bisque which came with a piece of bread. The soup was decadent without being overly rich and was even organic! Super tasty and comforting. The grilled cheese was what I had next visit. The grilled cheese was perfectly gooey with local cheddar, cream cheese, and veggies served with a grain-based salad. Third time I got the breakfast special which had kale and onions over toast (I opted out of the bacon) with two poached eggs on top and red pepper drizzle over the whole concoction. All three I would happily eat again. And the prices were really, really reasonable. Again, I don't think people go hang out at hospitals for fun. With that in mind, another thing to note is that the Atrium space is open to anyone, several hours after the actual food stops being served. There's a fireplace, comfortable seating, and lots and lots of outlets so people can charge their devices. For someone who's coping with supporting others through medical issues, being invited by staff to stay as long as I needed to was a huge weight off my shoulders. There is plenty of seating everywhere in the hospital but it has the usual hustle and bustle going by and the Atrium is a bit more subdued. I would love for there to be later hours -- closing at 4:00 means that people who are at the hospital late don't have the best of options -- but beggars can't be choosers and I'm just grateful that all of the restaurants at UVM Medical Center are at least decent. I'd also love to see a few more vegan options in the future. But really, I'm just grateful for this space. Now if only the hospital could have a bar and a napping area...

The baked egg came with a piece of cornbread and slices of orange as a garnish/finish. Today's baked egg was filled with fresh veggies, and sun dried tomatoes. The cornbread was on the drier side, but still very good and just a touch of sweetness. The staff here are really pleasant, adding to the overall experience.

It was soft and bready and the rest of the toppings were great including the ham. We had 2 Heath bar cookies and they were absolutely top-notch. I would definitely go back here for the tasty well priced food, spacious pleasant dining area and overall feel. There were a few insects flying around the room the day we were there. They are probably tough to keep completely out of the room in spring but they are off-putting for sure.

Texturally the pasta was slightly chewy and the cheese sauce was thick. It coats your tongue. I believe it's a white mac (vermont cheddar, most likely. As it was sharp and slightly sweet). It was packaged in a 4oz to go cup with lid. I also picked up a magic bar and a cinnamon roll (not pictured). My only complaint, is when a co-worker went an hour later and ordered the same thing, her sandwhich looked better. It was double the meat and her bread was toasted.
