I ask him if the shop is open and he says yes, pointing me to a worn chair uncomfortably facing the open door. As if that was the worst part....He cut my hair so badly you wouldn't believe! My hair afterwards looked lopsided, uneven and he had shaved away beyond my hairline at the sides. Not to mention, he never said hello or goodbye, and interrupted the haircut by ringing his family on 3 separate occasions. That's not all either; I have a job interview tomorrow. My hair looks awful and $10 has gone down the drain. It's no wonder The Bedford Gazette apparently voted him 5 times "best barber" -- IT'S BECAUSE HE IS THE ONLY ONE IN BEDFORD. This location is right off a dual highway across the street from a Sheetz, with street parking and if desperation happens- you can always park in the Sheetz lot. I usually get the same haircut I have since 2009, #2 on the sides and scissors to the top with a slight fade in between. I think what sets Don apart is the conversation. Don is fresh with the town gossip, history of the area, and NEVER ceases to ask you about your day, what you've been up to lately or "what you doing today?" Truly a city staple and a part of the area that adds to the overall tapestry that makes it home.
