Earth Born Market has been here for some time now, and they will have a new location in a much, much busier center in McAllen off the expressway. I forgot to ask them if they would be closing this store. I truly hope not! This way they will have two locations. Delightfully delicious!!! I checked out Earth Born Market twice in 24 hours. It's that good. If you're looking for cold pressed juices, local organic produce, organic nuts, honey, jams, sauces, homemade fudge, candy and other Earthy snacks, you gotta check our EBM. A McAllen local took me on a city tour, and Earth Born Market was the first on our morning start. Which was perfect because my body was craving a fresh, green juice. I walked away with a bottle of fresh RGV grapefruit juice, a green juice, honey sticks, and mango butter. Yes, mango butter. A few hours later, as I was with a friend and McAllen native (who lives down the street and had NO idea EBM existed), we dropped in so she could buy her kids some juice. Again, I walked away with some more juices for the next few days and a container of Texas pecans. They have a few sample stations - try the grapefruit juice, orange juice, tangerine juice, and orange-grapefruit blend. You can also try some of the fruit spreads. Oh, and they have grapefruit pies. Grapefruit pies. Cray, huh? Love that EBM is family owned and operated. A must see. read more

Great place for organic groceries: snacks, drinks, hot sauce, jams, juices, etc. We always get the limeade juice, but my parents love the lemonade juice. Hubs also loves the orangejuice too. They sell single serve juices too which are also great; aloha, glow green, and many other flavors. We get wasabi peas, dried kiwis, and crunchy ochre. We're hot sauce fans so I get a habanero hot sauce. Just a small place but so much to offer. Great local find. read more

This used to be the old Klement's Grove until it was sold to new management. However, Earth Born has retained the feeling of Klement's Grove with the same fresh products. I hadn't been in here since Klement's Grove was around, but was tempted by cravings for a grapefruit pie. They are open seasonally closing in April and reopening around October for the start of citrus season. Everything seems local and organic with products straight from the RGV fields. I tried their orange juice and it was amazing. I have to be careful with orange juice because of the additives store brands put in their juice (I'm allergic to the preservatives). Earth Born juice is as natural as you can get; literally straight from the tree. The grapefruit pie that I bought was spectacular. It's a local favorite and Earth Born made it to perfection; sweet jelly with superbly tart grapefruit - yum!! I'm thinking I'll need to buy a pie to bring back to Houston. That just means another trip to Earth Born! read more

This is a really nice gift shop-type market. They have homemade jellies, honey and juices among other items. The Valencia oranges are really juicy. They have several types of juices like tangerine, orange and lime. They have wildflower honey (my favorite) and orange blossom. By the way you can sample all of these items that are made in store. Prices are a little steep but you will get high quality locally produced items. read more

Shopped here after receiving a glowing recommendation only to discover that both the refrigerated bags of oranges & grapefruit contained 90% spoiled fruit once I arrived back in Austin the next day. The $20 lost wasn't as bad as the embarrassment when I gifted them out before trying them myself. read more
