So, I know what you're thinking... "Yeah, right, this place deserves 5 stars?!?!" Well yes, yes it…read moredoes. And, let me explain why. On occasion, I have been to a few businesses where the place really doesn't look like it's up to much, but then you meet the people that work there and one can start to see why it's a great business. This is one of those places. I'm on a really tight budget, so every dollar I save is beneficial for me and my kids. This makes recycling a wise choice for me. Plus, it's just good for the environment too. I've been to this recycling center several times, and each visit has been a good experience for me. Although most of the recycling items I bring here are plastic containers, I also see other customers bringing large quantities of glass bottles and aluminum cans. They have a pretty simple process to recycle your items here: grab several of the large bins and fill them with your recycling items from your car, drag the bins over and get all your recycling items weighed, and the best part - get cash! Now, here's what differentiates this business from others: it's the people, who are friendly and honest. I've been to a few other recycling centers where they try to cheat you out of cash here and there, usually based on their skeptical weighing practices. Unlike other places, the people I have dealt with here are honest, which is really refreshing. The young lady that usually manages the weighing and cash distribution here is very friendly and honest. Also, on one occasion I came on a particularly windy day and this one poor customer was frustrated to see a large portion of his recycling items blowing away out of his car. When this happened, I saw the gentleman that works here (in one of my photos) quickly running around trying to gather up all of this customer's recycling items for him. I just watched this and thought to myself "now, that's a man with a great work ethic, who is also considerate for his customers." If I owned this business, these are the kind of people I would want to have on my team. If you don't recycle, you should. And, if you do recycle and live nearby, you should bring your recycling here.

He didn't even let us in to see this so called sign. Months go by he finally ships the rare 1986 transmission and only includes one mounting bracket. It is effectively a $750 paper weight now for the last 2 years I'm searching for the other mounting bracket so I can install it just. Meanwhile he tells me when I say I need the other mounting bracket... "It's not my problem". So he sold a transmission supposedly in working order but only gave 1/2 of the required equipment to mount it... making a $750 paper weight that can't be installed, used, or tested. I have months of text exchanges of his lies, delays, excuses. Meanwhile I'm homeless and my home (the van) stays broken and after I excruciatingly (painfully disabled with nerve damage) worked so hard to save up to buy this transmission... it was a scam all a long. I can't afford to buy another just to get the mounting bracket that was supposed to come with it (if I could even FIND one) and he refused to help. This place is a scam. He has no heart, He has no soul, I'm trying to save enough money to drive out to sue (because i'm out of state).

Since LA County engaged in a contract and some regulations to protect consumers against gouging, WM have reluctantly complied...but still blatantly charge different prices to neighbor customers for the SAME SERVICES...depending upon what they feel they can get away with. Shop carefully before you chose WM.

When I got the HP home and plugged in the keyboard, monitor, Ethernet, sound system, external drive and projector, the computer was surprisingly inoperable. Couldn't even get into the BIOS. I had Golden Hills test the HP again. It worked fine. To their credit, Golden Hills offered to replace or refund. But they had put so much effort into the HP, I wasn't ready to give up on it easily. Golden Hills gave me the clue to solving the mystery. Their test setup is different than mine. One cable at a time, I powered down, unplugged the cable and powered up until the computer came on. My conclusion is that the HP's BIOS gets stuck if there is a Displayport to VGA cable plugged in at power on. Plug the cable in later and there's no problem. Anyway, Golden Hills was terrific throughout the troubleshooting. I recommend they stop selling HP computers!
