David Ferrini was recommended to us by our wonderful Kitchen designer Bob Baker-Wayland Kitchens, Needham, MA.....Dave's customer service made us feel as if we were his only, if not most important customer. He guided us through the process of picking our granite counter tops without missing a beat; where to look, what types to consider and the ins and outs of searching for just the right pieces for our style, space, lifestyle and budget. Our schedules prevented us from meeting during regular business hours and Dave accommodated us with early, late and weekend phone calls (even while on vaca with his family), house visits, and install. The granite we chose was delivered and installed ahead of schedule and with the utmost of professionalism. His crew came on a Saturday, they were pleasant, neat, careful of our woodwork, walls and new cabinets coming in and out. Not a scratch! And the counters are beautiful! We trusted Dave to help us choose which type and style of sink, faucet and soap dispenser to choose and he did not disappoint. Functionality, durability, price and style were all important and he was knowledgeable and honest with his information to help us make the right choice to suite our needs. WONDERFUL and easy experience!! I was doing my first complete kitchen renovation and looking at small 12 x 12 pieces of granite,(from the people I bought my cabinets from) I didn't like any of them. A friend told me about Dave at Earth Works so I just popped in one day and Eddie was working on a Granite counter top. He was very nice and gave me TONS of information about WHERE and HOW to pick out and buy granite. Eddie, the poor guy was so kind to take so much time answering my dumb questions. He is a trooper and funny too! He showed me some counter tops they had at their shop and they were beautiful! ANYWHO, I picked out my granite (Blue Bross) and Dave, the owner took care of the rest. When my granite arrived in Braintree Dave invited me and my husband to come by and see the pieces as my husband hadn't seen it yet.. He even took the time to move the heavy pieces to show us BOTH pieces AND laid them out and asked us if there were any areas of the granite we liked or didn't like and they would work around them. They also took the time to lay out the template on the granite so we could OK the grain and pretty blue swirls for our large penninsula piece. I have to say that after visiting other fabricators in the area I was VERY impressed with the personal attention, time and energy they put into our job! If you need a fabricator I would suggest using Earth Works. They made the entire job go smoothly and it was done VERY quickly and professionally! I was referred to David Ferrini of Earth Works by my contractor. Upon meeting him, I immediately knew that he was extremely knowledgeble and I was glad I made the drive from Saugus to Braintree. After working with me for a while, David knew that I was looking for a more exotic stone for my large kitchen, and took me to look at the granite slabs. His patience was indeed a virtue as it took me quite a while to go thru the large selection and find one that I thought was wonderful. What he then managed to do, was to take wonderful and turn it into magnificent! My granite countertops are spectacular! They look like rock artwork. David and his team cut and installed these pieces perfectly. They did an extrodinary job on the seams, and I have a difficult stone to seam as it has a fluid motion, and many colors within the stone making it difficult to match. (The granite is called fire bordeaux in case you want to see what I am talking about.) His work ethic is commendable. He was on schedule, dependable, in constant contact and just really handled the whole process as a true professional. He and his team work well together, they know and trust each other which is important when you are dealing with huge pieces of heavy stone. Did I also mention that he has a great personality and a sense of humor? Well, he does and that is just the icing on the cake! We recently remodeled our kitchen and needed a fairly large piece of granite for counter tops. We bought our cabinets from Bob Baker of Wayland Kitchens in Needham. He referred us to David Ferrini of Earth Works Granite in Braintree to assist us in finding the perfect granite for our counters. David Ferrini was amazing to work with! He went out of his way on a cold Friday night to meet us at a granite supplier to help us choose the perfect piece. Literally it took us hours to decide and he was helpful every step of the way. We actually purchased a higher end piece of granite and he was able to have cut and it placed beautifully. He used the entire piece and saved us money. He arrived with 2 installers and worked carefully and precisely. You would never see the seam that was needed......truly beautiful. Oh, I forgot to mention that David Ferrini also went with me to a great family owned tile store in Rockland called Bellew Tile to help me choose glass tile. He referred me to an excellent tile installer as well. Along the way of the project, David was in constant communication with us to make sure we were happy. As a result we couldn't have been more pleased with Earth Works, and the other businesses mentioned above. I highly recommend David Ferrini from Earth Works. We were referred to Dave Ferrini of Earth Works as a stone fabricator by Bob Baker of Wayland Kitchens in Needham. We needed one large piece of granite in order to make two seamless "L" shaped counter tops from that piece, less expensive than 2 slabs. He was able to tell us the size slab we would need from Century Stone Distributor in Braintree. Once our lower cabinets were in, Dave along with 2 employees came in to make the template and to measure the slide-in stove that would be going in & to factor in the strip of granite to fill gap between the wall and stove, along with the apron border for a finished look. The granite was ready to be installed 3 days later on Sat morning. Dave along with his crew of 3 did a great job bringing in & installing our counters. The counters look beautiful. It was a pleasure to work with Dave, very friendly and professional. He answered all our questions from beginning to end. We would highly recommend Dave of Earth Works. read more

Working with Earth Works was one of the best experiences we have had with a contractor. We recently renovated our kitchen and the cabinet guy recommended Earth Works for the counter. We wanted the exact counter that we had seen in another kitchen by a company no longer in business. Dave was able to find the same granite and perform the same finish as we wanted. His crew was extremely friendly and courteous. When they came to template they were efficient and clean. When the counters arrived they were a perfect fit and absolutely beautiful. Throughout the whole process Dave kept us updated as to the progress and timeline for the counters. When we were ready to have them installed he managed to work us into the schedule even faster than expected. Overall a great experience. Earth Works did a fantastic job installing new marble countertops in our kitchen. We called Dave early on in the design phase, as my wife and I were not sure what stone we wanted to use. Dave was extremely helpful in the stone selection process, and he helped us ultimately find exactly what we were looking for. He was always available to answer questions over the phone regarding details and even items as basic as what good cleaning agents we should use on the stone. David was very patient and accomodating in helping me find the perfect piece of granite for our kitchen and bathrooms. And, amazingly, he was able to work his magic to use only one slab of granite for all our need!! I am writing this to point out that there is a review about Earth Works posted here that is simply false . It's from somebody from Northern California that I simply have no idea whom this person is . If you take the time to read all of reviews for Earth Works it will be easy to determine which one was posted by accident or as sabotage .This person is someone I simply don't know and geographically someone I couldn't possibly have done work for. I reached out to Yelp's customer service and they felt as though it was a legitimate review( even though it was 3000 miles outside of my trading area) and wouldn't take it down. read more
