I would give Earthscapes 10 out of 10 stars if I could. Not only is the finished project beautiful, but they were always on time, took careful care to protect my lawn during the project, cleaned up every night, and Keith and his team were professional and kind. Earthscapes re-did my large patio, pavers, steps, and firepit that was done 5 years ago by a terrible contractor. Keith gave us a fair price to re-do it and the finished product is a night and day difference. Working with Earthscapes has been a joy. Their pictures make it look like they do good work but after the run-in I had with someone who claimed to own the business I most certainly will never consider them for work on my property. I was driving to an appointment this morning when one of their trucks rolled a stop sign and cut me off while I was driving on the parkway in my subdivision such that I had to mash down on my brake pedal to avoid running into the back of the truck. When the opportunity presented itself, I tried to pass and the jackwagon swerved towards me and tried to run me off the road. When I was able to pull even with the cab of the truck and looked over...you guessed it - he was on the phone. I got far enough ahead to turn around so I could snap a photo of the truck before he exited the subdivision; I was planning to call the company to complain. Instead of rolling past me, he stopped and blocked traffic so that he could tell me that he was the owner of the company and that there was nobody I could call other than him. Not sure who this guy thinks he is but when you're driving a company vehicle and making an ass of yourself it isn't likely to win you much business. Ditto for acting like an ass towards someone who lives in the subdivision where you're working. read more

We are very happy with our stone walkway. Communication was great and the quality of the work was awesome.

Keith and his crew did a fantastic job on our yard. The yard looked abandoned prior to his work, now it is A +. The crew was fanstastic they worked hard and followed our instructions to not freak out our dogs. Everything ran according to schedule, he worked with us on cost and price. I highly recommend Earthscapes and Construction. They have done two major projects for us. We were new to the landscape process and paid almost $3800 for the work. I was looking for someone I could trust and I liked their sales person. At first they came off kind and knowledgeable, but I was duped. They are not part of the BBB or Angie's list and I found out that there is good reason for that. It is a family trio and the one thing they did consistent is listen to react rather than to understand after the check was paid, and were defensive and verbally abusive (especially adverse to smart females, who ask too many questions that they cannot answer). Sadly this was especially true of the owner (there is an image of him staring from his truck on a review here, after a run-in on the road with Ben S.). It fits the mold of my experience with him as well. I wanted so much to like them and I've had great experiences with every other vendor we've used on three homes for 15 years. Weeks after install, we found they buried the sprinkler heads so deep (some measuring 5 and 7 inches down) that most of the heads would not come up to water properly after our irrigation professional came to turn the system on. Our irrigation professional determined that one broke completely due to the heavy dirt that turned to mud, on top of a few inches of mulch, which they laid over all of the areas without a second though for functionality. When my wife approached the subject with the owner, she was insulted and not allowed to even speak. They promised later on to have their irrigation company come unbury the heads, and we never heard a word from them, so now we are going to have to dig up expensive landscaping to not only locate the buried heads, but have them repaired - a mistake they would not take ownership for. Months after install, our amazing tree treatment/lawncare experts sent an arborist to come talk about all of our older trees, and warned us that the front landscape tulip tree was a tulip "proper" versus a tulip "magnolia". The arborist said the tulip proper gets as big as an oak and would be terrible by our house; he said it must be cut down or moved soon. We asked Earthscapes for simply a small "tulip tree" (and sent pictures of the tree full size (which was smaller in stature of course) so they knew we wanted a smaller tree when full grown). And they should have, as the experts, known to go with the much smaller full size version of that tree in front landscaping anyway. We trusted them to advise us correctly. Instead they planted the tulip proper, which grows to the size of an oak tree, right next to our house in our front landscaping. This is in addition to several other plants they added that haven't worked out like they promised. I don't believe they did this on purpose with the tulip tree, but I do believe they don't know enough about what they do to know there are two versions of that tree. Unprofessional and incompetent to say the least. Due to their aggressive words with my wife, I had to ban them from our property, so we will be taking care of this and everything else ourselves. We also had the magnolia bush start to die after three months and moved it ourselves, and now it's doing a bit better (it was planted in a corner with no light and it was dying - not the work you expect from an expert that claims to pay attention to detail). We are people who would be a huge advocate for a person or business, even if they wrong us, should they make it right. We gave them several chances and they decided the customer is never right. They could have already had a number of referrals from us, so it's a shame for them. I would advise to choose someone that is on the BBB and Angie's List, so there is accountability. We were too trusting. read more
