I wish there was a lower rating. These guys talk a big game and even sell well, but the moment they mess up or need to fix something, they stop responding to customers. They don't call back people when they repeatedly ask to speak to someone about an issue caused by them. I started this project w phone calls starting on Feb. 21, 2025. Staff typically took a week to respond by emails ONLY. This company is mean and does not have decent customer service. The company prefers everything in writing although they are totally unresponsive in a timely basis. In all the months that this disaster took place, I received exactly 3 phone calls. The design plan ($1200) wasn't finalized therefore until May 22. Discussions took months to complete the design because they only emailed me irregularly and several times, did not answer my questions. The design team including a landscape architect did not finish evaluating my property, spending almost an hour but 'had to leave', so it is not wonder that my desires were only partially met. I paid nearly $5000 June 10 and urged them to move forward on my landscape 'enhancement install only because we were going out of town. Now, all of a sudden they were responsive as weather getting very hot for the plants. They sent a sloppy and rushed installer who did not, as promised, provide important amendments to the soil. I paid the balance of the total $11,000 June 20. This company is NOT interested on small residential landscape enhancements. Do not use them. Out of some 55 plants ordered, only about 22 survived during the 3 month warranty period. I had to fight hard to get a few replacements as they argued that some dead plants were not under warranty and were perennials, not shrubs or evergreen plants. I emailed 5 staff members and finally got 6 plants replaced in September. I think Earthworks is a newish company that appears to like large new construction landscape projects or commercial landscaping. Please be advised that I have used many well known landscape companies and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. I am considering reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and the HHI Chamber of Commerce. They are not professional and courteous. read more

We looked at several companies to do the landscaping for our new home and finally chose Earthworks. We couldn't be happier! They guided us in choosing the right plants, while listening to our comments, and came up with an outstanding design that fulfilled our wishes. That was just the beginning. When the plants were delivered, they were all wonderful, nice-looking, good-sized plants. The size of the palm trees and the magnolia they planted were unreal. The trees had to be brought in on a semi, and you can barely tell which palm trees they planted and which ones had been on our lot from the beginning. The crew was great - so polite, hard-working, and wanting to make sure we were happy. We truly could not have asked for a better experience and outcome. Earthworks really, really nailed it! From start to finish it was one of the best experiences in the process of building our home. We are so happy, and when I say it was an outstanding job, it is saying a lot. I have very high expectations and can safely say that you will not be disappointed with Earthworks. Wow, wow, wow. Our landscape is BEAUTIFUL and they are AMAZING.
