Came to the marina to have lunch at The Galley in the Patrick S. Sailing center. This was our first time coming to this marina. As soon as we rounded the break wall corner there were two attendants ready at the gas dock. We explained that we were just coming for lunch. They directed us to an open dock and helped us secure our lines. Andy and Makiah were courtesy and helpful! Highly recommend coming by boat to this fine marina!!! read more

One of favorite summer places. What I can't understand is why on their website they don't put when it is open for the season and when it will close for the season. Why is that so hard.??? Just went today for the first time this summer. Memorial Day is tomorrow. No bloody Mary's on the menu. Walleye sandwich was great. 55th Marina gave me some of myself and family best memories...August who is manager of the Marina is one of the most honest, caring individuals that I have came across.. Unfortunately a mistake cost me membership this past year. I will be back..I loved my dock and sad that it did not oan out yet August made me comfortable and will make certain we dock at 55 the once again..He is an outstanding human being and one heck of a guy to run a Marina..Metro could do no better ...Thanks for the Great times.. It was slightly drizzling with rain when we came here, but as far as the place goes, it's quite nice. There is plenty of parking, and there's a path with railing right next to the lake so we could walk along it if we wanted to. Great view of Lake Erie (I mean, we're right next to it pretty much), and it's a great place to take a stroll and see the lake! read more

today was their first day open for the season. same old menu - actually somewhat less offerings than last year, although their hours seem to have expanded. annoyingly noisy music playing, making lunch conversations difficult. the main reason to go here is because of the lovely location. I heard a rumor of a new operator and was hoping for some improvements in the menu. read more

Metro park did a nice job fixing up the place, nice docks and easy to fuel. Unfortunately 3 out of the 4 times I've pulled into either a guest slip or the fuel dock the same girl attendant does absolutely nothing in the way of helping boaters dock, she needs to be trained like the other male attendants who know how to be a dock hand. read more

I have been here about 5 times this year. This is a great place to take the dog for a walk along the lake and stop by for a drink or food. Everyone is very friendly and easy going. The prices are great! My only downside is the bathrooms but with the marina and people playing volleyball I don't know if they can really make it better. If you haven't been to the 55 street marina since the Cleveland Metroparks took over, you are missing out! The food at the restaurant is awesome, the view is spectacular, they have added sand volleyball courts, bocce ball and a huge Jenga game. Free parking and easy freeway access!! They are only open during the summer so don't wait around. They offer live music on Sat night's and have the cheapest boat fuel in the area! We will be going back often! read more

This place is ran and managed horribly. For some reason the always only have 1 bartender its ridiculous. You have to wait at the bar for 10 minutes just to get a beer. You can see the waitress are overworked and rolling theyre eyes as they run around complaining. They need to hire a manager who knows what theyre doing or re-train the current management and staff. This place has so much potential,sand volleyball courts,bocce ball courts, cornhole,amazing views. The food is mediocre low quality bar food, especially compared to Merwhins Wharf which is also owned by Cleveland Metroparks. If they hired more staff,got a better manager and upgraded theyre menu i'd go back and try again. read more
