While they were at our house replacing our carpet with hardwood floors, my dog Fiona accidentally got out. I wasn't home at the time and got a call saying she had escaped. My heart dropped and I rushed home in a panic. I immediately went to the park where I always walk her, searching and calling her name. There was no sign of her. I ran up and down the street, then went back to the park and called her name even louder. Suddenly, from across the park, I saw Fiona running as fast as she could straight toward me. At the same time, a man named Anthony got out of his car and ran toward her to help. When I finally picked Fiona up, I was so overwhelmed with relief and gratitude that I asked him if I could give him a hug. When I got back to the house, I found out something that touched my heart even more -- the entire crew from TSP Remodeling had actually stopped working and went out searching for Fiona to help bring her home safely. These men took time away from their jobs just to help me find my dog. That kind of compassion is rare, and it meant the world to me. He came over, we discussed the job thoroughly, and he gave me an estimate immediately and in writing via email. The scope of work included the demolition of existing countertops, removal and reinstallation of all plumbing, and the manufacture and installation of new solid surface countertops. The demolition work took most of one day and the debris was taken away and disposed of elsewhere. One week later, after Steve completed making the new countertops at his shop, he and helper, also named Steve, installed the new ones. The installation took about four hours. After a fully successful job and payment made in full, I noticed a problem with the re installation of our electric range. He came back several days later and fixed the problem, no questions asked. Was so helpful and informative all future GC's we compared to him. After lots of comparison, we decided we wanted to do new cabinets so we could make the kitchen as functional as possible. Called BCR back and they sent Matt out, who is the project manager, and he spent so much time answering all my probably dumb questions. Then drew up a layout that accommodated everything I wanted and added some cool organization features I didn't even know existed. By nature, I stress at the thought of such a big spend. But Matt made it an easy decision to put the deposit down. Feeling confident he is going to get us the kitchen we are going to love and not break the bank.
