I arrived at 10:10 for a 10:15 endoscopy, as scheduled by the doctor's Brookhaven office. After checking in, I was asked to schedule my follow-up for the RESULTS--at the end of September, even though it was early August. The front desk appeared disorganized, with paperwork piled up, and staff openly discussed another patient's medical status, procedures, and tests in front of us. I found this lack of discretion troubling. After waiting thirty minutes, I asked when I might be seen. I was told that my procedure was scheduled on their books for 11:30. Having an hour-long drive back to Sag Harbor in summer traffic, I decided to leave. Minutes after my husband and I left, I received a text asking me to come back--they would take me immediately. In the meantime, I had taken a few sips of tea after fasting all morning. When I told Dr. Singh, he asked whether I'd had a sip or a cup. When I said closer to a sip, he told me I would be fine to proceed. He seemed rushed, tense, and distracted rather than reassuring. Fortunately, I also told the anesthesiologist, clarifying that it might have been more of a gulp. He advised me not to have the endoscopy because of the risk of aspirating fluid into my lungs--a potentially serious complication. Also, based on what I observed, I wasn't confident that this facility had the staffing or resources I would want available in an emergency. This was especially concerning because Dr. Singh had just told me it was fine to proceed. My husband and I independently had the same impression: the emphasis seemed to be on moving patients through rather than attentive patient care. Final word: I did not feel safe or confident in this environment and will seek a new doctor.

I was instructed to not eat or drink in the ER all night, all morning. Dresnik sent his PA, Michelle, the next morning who was cold and rude to tell me he was not doing the scope, it wasn't an emergency. His PA said he didn't even know who I was. Complete lie!!!! Then she stepped out to speak to with a nurse about Botox and a new boyfriend. The young lady was very nice as she directed us to the right place. They are still very thorough with the covid check as the check temperature before going inside, give you hand sanitizer when coming in and ask you to use before leaving & of course everyone was wearing a mask. I think it's great and they are keeping a safe environment. The billing department billed my colonoscopy as both preventative care and a diagnostic (against the recommendation of the Health and Human Services guidance) to get more money. My insurance company even tried to explain to the billing department that they coded it wrong and they refused to re-bill. Once my insurance company knew the doctor would not change the incorrect billing, they paid at 100% and I still received a $400 bill, which was slightly less that the $600 bill.

His demeanor is respectful and firm, while being very thorough in his work. The practice has two locations, both of which are easily accessible by Rt. 15 and have ample parking. The large waiting room and super clean exam rooms show that the doctor pays attention to patient comfort. He also has a good turn around time for patient appointments, test results, prescriptions, and scheduling procedures.
