She made me see myself as strong, powerful, resilient! & also soft, beautiful & my children's safest place!!!! If you're ever looking for a doula, birth photographer, or like me a special breastfeeding session she is amazing! Midwife means - "with woman"…read more 3 years ago I gave birth at Boca Raton Regional Hospital with Boca Midwifery and Midwife Ryan attended my birth (though she was not the midwife scheduled to be there). Verbatim Ryan said she was "so tired she couldn't see straight", "working 24 hrs was the new hangover" and that I was her "last birth of her shift and she couldn't wait to go sleep". During labor and delivery she was not supportive (her choice of words, actively dismissing my researched and scientifically backed requests) or professional (blamed a nurse for a medication dosage she herself instructed me to take and inaccurate notes both in the hospital and out). After my birth and her stitching me while "hungover from working 24 hrs" and verbalizing "I can't see" (and then doing nothing about it) I was left with permanent physical and nerve damage- Confirmed by multiple OBGYNs, Neurologists and one of the countries best Pelvic Surgeons. At my 6 week appointment I mentioned something was wrong with me and was brushed off. I did get a text from Ryan apologizing for my "bad experience". I knew the day I birthed my son that my life would change, I never expected for it to be something like this. Ryan thanked me for "not being her first emergency section" then thanked herself "for saving me". Ryan ruined my life. The reality is that without intervention I can't have sex, can't carry a pregnancy, and can't even sit comfortably. Because of this, my marriage, job, and the ability to enjoy intimacy have been effected...Not to mention the financial strain of over $100,000 in medical care I am still receiving due to the "husband stitch" I didn't ask for, consent to, or even know I received. I should have stood up for myself from the second she said she was that tired but I trusted she was "with woman" To the women who had positive experiences, I am glad you were safe and supported. For the people who have met me in the real world and asked my opinion on this practice, I tried to protect you and in turn protected them ... and I am so so sorry.

The nurse doubled my pitocin level and almost hurt my baby. THE CRAZY sick is that I had to be induced because cholestasis- a irritated liver from their hebral prep supplements THEY recommended! I didn't enjoy the uneducated mouth and wrong blood test work. she really isnt professional. id just run from this office as i just heard all of them quit except the one midwive that did the worst job! They always check up on you and are so friendly and compassionate. Sandra has been our doula, and she is simply amazing, so helpful, friendly, and trustworthy. We got the Elite package, which comes with 104 hours of in person doulas coming to your home (5+ hours during day or 8+ hours night - whatever you need) and 3 postpartum massages with some beauty items. But they have all kinds of packages to choose from, or you can do an hourly rate as well if you want to try it out. This was a lifesavior with us being first-time parents who were clueless about newborns, and it helped us keep our sanity, especially at night time!! She got me put into the classes my partner and I wished to take as well as got me scheduled for an amazing (and very needed) pre natal massage. Lorie taught our hypnobirthing class and though I knew what I was getting into, she was an incredible informative teacher and so patient with ALL of my husbands questions (and let me tell you... he had a lot). As with all of their classes, you leave with an intentional plan as well as the knowledge of alternatives and ALL options which I found really helpful. I did choose to have a doula present for my birth and to be honest, we don't plan on doing it again without her! There are a lot of choices to make before, during and after birth and we can't thank the Orchid Nest enough for their support throughout the journey that changed our lives!

She came over and stayed with us right by our side, helping mostly my wife through each contraction offering suggestions, position changes, essential oil's and other natural remedies to help ease the discomfort. She ended up staying with us for an additional 30 hours, even when we had to transfer last minute to the hospital. We are so grateful to Bonnie for everything that she did for us and continues to do. I feel that her knowledge of pregnancy labor and delivery exceeded most professionals and even submit wives that we spoke too. She knows the inns and outs of hospitals and procedures and helped us out tremendously after we had to transfer and didn't know anything about hospital procedures since we were planning a homebirth. I would hire Bonnie again in a heartbeat. Thank you again so much for everything you did for our new family!

As someone who is part of the LGBTQ+ community, I always carry a bit of anxiety when going to new healthcare providers -- but that completely disappeared the moment I saw Christine for my annual exam. It was honestly the best experience I've ever had with a healthcare provider. This was a friend who had three different births, and I trusted her judgment. Long story short, I wanted a very different experience for my second birth than what I had for my first... and I got it. But no birth center or midwife or class or birth prep could ever have made my birth as wonderful as Kari did. She is the missing piece you need if you're looking to truly feel nurtured. Some specific things I appreciated, among everything she did for my family, involved always going above and beyond: she came to appointments if she was available, and even if she wasn't she always checked in and asked about them. She always made sure to respond to texts, even if just to say "I can't respond right now but will later." And she was always judgement-free and incredibly diplomatic when offering insight. Overall, when she entered my birthing space and talked me through contractions, her presence was the element that grounded me and kept me going. I hope she knows I'll never be able to truly express how lucky I feel to have met her and had her at my birth! Like with any profession, not all professionals are created equal.
