This review is long overdue but these guys are amazing! A few months ago I was visiting WA on a business trip and had to get out to Montesano for work so I borrowed a friend's car for a few hours. On my drive out there, the car started giving me trouble. Originally, I thought it was just the battery but it turns out it was also the alternator. I barely made it to the shop and was told it would be hours, if not a day, before I would get my car back. I almost cried. I didn't know anyone in Elma and had to be back in Seattle that evening to make my flight. The guys at the shop did everything they could to get me back on the road within a few hours and even lent me their car so that I could drive to Montesano and get my work done. I was back in Seattle that afternoon and was able to get on my flight back home. I will forever be grateful to everyone at this shop who helped me out. Thank you, thank you, thank you! read more

East county automotive made so many mistakes and needless delays and other issues working on my chevy vans. The last time i went there when i realized they are useless was for an oil change. The oil filter came loose and all oil leaked out. Other times they failed to do repairs that were over their abilities to do yet wasted a lot of my time thinking they could do a job they couldnt. read more

I own an electric scooter bike (EGO, made by EGO Vehicles), and I needed to switch out the charger (LONG STORY). I had the replacement charger available. Although this is not an "authorized" repair facility for my bike, the owner of the bike company said an automotive place should be able to do what I need. I asked East County Automotive if they would, was told "yes" with no questions at all! I provided diagrams for how the charger was to be switched out. They were able to do it. The only thing I was a bit disappointed in was they drilled an extra hole in the bike frame to attach the replacement charger. I don't think this was necessary, as I have had the charger switched out before without needing this extra hole drilled. But I am thankful they were able to do this for me, as the closest "authorized" repair place for my bike was too far away. read more

We live in East County (eastern Grays Harbor County, WA) and take all our vehicles to Doug and his guys. Great, knowledgeable service and reasonable rates. Never try to up-sell you or get you to do unnecessary services. Will give you options to save you money on anything you need. Trustworthy is what they are. read more

I was on my way through Elma when my car started making this terrible grinding sound. I called these guys and even though they were closing in 5 minutes, they told me to come in. He temporarily fixed the problem quickly and got me back on the road to get home. Great price and great service. read more

They can get the job done, but definitely not the cheapest around. Almost 150$ to diagnose a loose distributor cap...and tighten it down.

I was in a pickle with my car. Stopped there and the owner/manager took time both to make a diagnosis and a quick fix to allow me to continue on a long road trip--no charge. Just great, thoughtful service. Can't say enough about this place. read more
