Now I won't need to purchase as many books for book club or leisure reading. But, she really made it a fun exchange. I quickly located two books on my list, looked up a third that I couldn't find (not available at this library) and we used the self-check out kiosk, which was very easy and quick. We visited around 2:30 PM on a Mondayin July and it was not very busy at all. I will most definitely be back to return today's books and borrow some more!

Very engaging storyteller was able to entrance the wide range of ages in attendance. Then there was the bubble machine. And a bucket of toys to free-play with. Get there early as space is limited. I noticed they had to turn away a few people. The children's area has lots of fun spaces too. If that had happened to us, we still would have found plenty to do there.

I especially remember Mr. Haines and his mini steam locomotive displays; his wife taught me violin and that's my career now. Unlike what is left of the Charlotte libraries, I never left a Lee county library empty handed. Unfortunately, I believe the reason for that is the difference in the size of the population. I'm sure Lee gets a much larger amount of funding. So much so that they have enough books to actually seperate them by type, making it easier to find what you're looking for. There is no excuse I can think of to not have a complete set of a series though. Has happened to me enough times that I no longer take out any part of a series. I tend to just be glad we have a library at all considering the state of things today. Overall I believe these people are doing the best they can with what they have to work with.

Definitely a value beyond the $10. You might think this is a small town so the library will not have a lot of titles, but I was really pleasantly surprised at how many copies they had in stock of recent best sellers, popular movies, etc. We also took our baby to the baby and toddler story time on Tuesday morning, which was a great event that we all really enjoyed!
