East End Driving School to me is one of the best schools in the area. Many of my family members have taken lessons with Bill over the years and all successfully passed on their first try. Seeing this I definitely had to take lessons with Bill also! At first I was a bit skeptical as I had never driven a car in my young life but Bill reassured me that with patience, determination and a bit of practice I would have full mastery of the wheel in no time. Sure enough after the first driving lesson I was already feeling much more confident with my driving! Unlike drivers ed , Bills one on one private session allow you to feel much more relaxed while also simulating the conditions experienced during an actual road test. Rather than tell you what to do or yell at you for doing something incorrectly, Bill guides you step by step on how to do each maneuver while making you feel less stressed out or nervous through small talk and driving jokes, which all came in very handy while trying to learn how to parallel park! Bill definitely creates a comfortable and welcoming environment both in the office and in the car. Aside from the lessons being wonderful, an added bonus is that the prices were very affordable and fair considering the great service you are receiving and within a month of having started the lesson I was able to schedule my road test to which I highly recommend using East End Driving schools road test service as Bill drove me to the test while giving me tips on how to stay relaxed and confident in my driving ability, this way i was able to better focus on the test rather than having stressed out over taking my own vehicle or finding someone to take me, getting there on time, etc. Overall, I was able to pass my test with a perfect score thanks to the amazing help and training i received from Bill! To this day i still retain the driving method he taught me and I feel confident in my ability to be a safe driver out on the road so thank you Bill!! East End Driving School is the BEST! Bill is an outstanding driving instructor with the patience of a saint. I took my older daughter to Bill a few years ago to brush up on her driving skills after completing high school driver's ed to better prepare her for her road test - success! My older daughter said in just a few lessons with Bill, he taught her important safety skills that the high school driver's ed instructor did not. So, when it came time for my younger daughter to prepare for her road test after high school driver's ed, I knew who to turn to for help...Bill. My younger daughter's high school instructor completely destroyed her confidence and I knew it would take more than a few lessons to restore it. We started with Bill in March and continued through July. Bill was amazing and my daughter was so grateful to be properly taught to be a SAFE driver, no matter how long it took. Driving is a life skill, something that cannot be rushed. We parents have to learn to be patient with the process and I told my younger daughter there was absolutely no pressure on her to pass the road test. She did not pass on the first try - her nerves got the best of her, but a few weeks later, she passed with a perfect score AND 100% confidence! The East End Driving School is an excellent establishment that was able to teach me how to drive safely and effectively. Bill and Yusuf are excellent driving instructors, each having a little bit different teaching styles, but both are very good at instilling the pillars of safe driving. I took 7 lessons and the pre test day practice which simulates the test and you get to use the schools car help me get a perfect score on the road test on my first attempt. I became a much better driver through these lessons and became a much more confident driver. Once I followed Bills and Yusuf's instructions and practiced these skills, that will last you a lifetime, become engrained in your head. Bill and Yusuf are excellent teachers and can be tuff but are able to get the best out of you, if you are willing to learn and listen on how to become a safe driver. They are able to teach in a way were they remain calm and can correct your mistakes without yelling and try to explain the situation so you don't make that mistake again. Passing the road test is just a side benefit to actually learning to become a safe an effective driver. Newly licensed driver here (first time 'round!), and I for sure would not have passed had it not been for Bill's teaching and wisdom. Bill is a highly experienced driving instructor who has seen it all. My advice to those who are interested is to humble yourselves and to follow his instruction, as his instruction will get you through the road test.. after which of course, you have every right to drive however you wish to your own consequence (and others). His instructions are preemptive and clear, so be prepared the first time. My experience with Bill has been nothing short of amazing, as his LOVE for his community and care for your safety shine through his teaching. There is no doubt in my mind of his ability to get you to where you need to be in order be a better/safer driver, and to pass your road test. Bill is an excellent driving instructor. He doesn't take shortcuts and has lots of experience. Very nice man and very organised. Thanks to Bill, I got a perfect score in my test, not one mistake was made. Some driving instructors just want your money and don't care about you learning, This is not Bill, he genuinely cares about who he teaches and points out exactly what you did wrong and shows you how to correct it. If you listen to Bill you are guaranteed to pass your test as long as you take enough lessons with him. I made no mistakes in my test all thanks to Bill. I can't point out one bad thing that he does and I'd highly recommend him to anyone. He's $85 but he's worth every penny of it as long as you follow his instructions. Just passed my driving test yesterday. I took lessons with instructors in Manhattan, then met Bill and he was so much more helpful. It was a joke how much better he was than anyone else. He is legitimately a professional. He is kind and serious and teaches you how to drive, not just pass the test. He teaches you about using peripheral vision to drive and a way of parallel parking that made another instructor scratch his head when he saw me do it, until that instructor realized how much better it worked than the typical turn the wheel one revolution to the right, then all the way to the left. I was not ready for the test with two weeks to go. In fact I had barely practiced, and he helped me learn so much in two weeks. Could not recommend more! read more

I was advised by friends and family to come to east end driving school to fully understand driving and to get my license. I'm really glad that they did because I was a nervous wreck on the road in the beginning but with the instructor's help in some time I was feeling capable enough to take the road test and pass it on the first try. Bill is wonderful with people and incredible at teaching people how to drive. He taught me how to be comfortable behind the wheel, what to do in very common situations, defensive driving, and how to properly do things on the road. To start I had failed my road test twice with just the help of my friends so I turned to East End and as fate would have it I took my first lesson with Yousef, I don't know if anyone else could have taught me how to drive. Yousef was so calm and patient and it created an environment that I could finally learn in. I did two more lessons and used their car for the actual test and passed with 0 points off IN THE RAIN! My sons previously had a ton of lessons in NYC through Drivers Ed as well as private lessons and they still were not good drivers. When we came out for the summer, Bill took over. His main focus was safety and being well aware of your surroundings and being a good driver for life, not just for the test. My sons ended up passing and getting perfect scores. I took driving lessons with Yusef and it was totally worth it and he helped me in so many ways. I've also taken lessons with Bill and he is also very helpful. Before this I had taken two road test and didn't pass. So i wanted to go to a place where I knew I would get the help I needed. I definitely recommend this driving school. I just passed my road test from the first try. I went to school twice a week, for 2-3 months. I work a lot. My spouse couldn't teach me properly and my friends had a different work schedule, so I literally had nobody to teach me how to drive and I never ever drove in my life because I'm originally not from the US.
