It's been one year since I waited to write this review. Nick and Joey did an excellent job. They arrived on time and removed a large, messy holly hedge, then planted nineteen 8- to 10-foot green giant arborvitaes. A year later, the trees are all doing well and have even thrived despite the recent harsh winter. I plan to purchase three more trees from them. I would highly recommend them. read more

We purchased several trees last year. Four were fine but one was not. We immediately asked for a replacement for the problem tree and were told to be patient that the tree would come back in the Spring. Half the branches are dead and all on one side. When we reported this and sent pictures, we were told the tree would fill in eventually. The tree will never have a nice shape because of the dead branches. We even offered to take a refund for the one tree so we could replace it from another nursery and were blown off again... Be very careful when purchasing from this business, they don't stand by their promises and don't necessarily send a nice specimen. read more

I was in the market for some privacy trees so I called East End Trees and spoke with the owner, Lou. Lou quoted me for 7 Leyland Cypress with a special of buy 6 get 1 free and 5 green giants. On the morning that my delivery and installation was scheduled, Lou called me and said his Leyland Cypress trees did not look good and suggested I take 9-10 foot Green Giants instead and said he would install them at the same price as the smaller Leyland Cypress. I said I would think about it and called back a few minutes later and the pricing changed. I wound up paying over $1,500 more than my original order and one of my trees died despite following the watering instructions that the foreman Mike gave me on the day the trees were installed. I sent numerous e-mails to Lou about my dying tree (including pictures) and he took no responsibility for it despite the fact that I have followed all instructions given by the foreman and the 11 other trees I purchased are fine. Lou also overcharged me for mulch. He asked me for dimensions of the beds that needed mulch and charged me for 4 yards of mulch meanwhile less than half of the mulch I purchased was used. Bottom line is Lou at East End Trees is a greedy scam artist. He has no problem adjusting an invoice to add on hundreds of dollars of charges to your bill to remove some grass to "cut out" the beds but doesn't adjust the mulch charge after he severely overestimated the amount of mulch I needed. As for the installation, half of my trees are crooked, and one died. I tried e-mailing with the business and gave them the opportunity to do the right thing and replace the tree at cost. They told me I need to pay full price for a replacement tree plus a delivery charge. I'm not sure why I would pay full price for a tree that I already paid for that died. I'll go to Cheap Sam's in Holtsville for my replacement tree, which is who I should have given the business to in the first place. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Lou and his shady business. read more

We told the people to put a tree in a certain location and they didn't put it there. Instead we had to do the job for them.

We had a really great experience shopping for fall plants at East End Trees. From the second we walked into the nursery, everyone was friendly and helpful without being intrusive. They offered suggestions on plant options, provided tips on planting, and even helped us load our large cart into the car. We are so happy we found this local family owned nursery and can't wait to return! read more

We ordered 30 trees on a Tuesday, to be delivered on Saturday. They never came or called (but we still had to pay the laborers that we hired). After inquiries, they delivered at noon on Monday. We started planting. At 6pm, I get a call saying that they trees were $20 more EACH - another $600! Evidently someone made a mistake, but they didn't catch it for a whole week. When you ask for more money after the fact, it is called EXTORTION. We didn't use their planting services, perhaps that's why they did this to senior citizens. All I know is that I will NEVER go there again. read more

My husband and I been looking for skip laurels for a few months now. Either they were out of stock until spring or the laurels looked damaged and dying. We went to East End trees and found beautiful skip laurels. Exactly what we wanted and at a great price. We bought them on Wednesday and the very next day they were delivered. But when I tried to engage the blonde woman there, who seemed to be a manager, she was pretty curt with me, definitely not customer friendly. I found them by an ad. What a nice place! The owner was very nice, the trees and other plants were well cared, the price was amazing! We came from other farms nearby, but finally bought a fruit tree and two hydrangeas from east end. If you are looking for fruit trees or flowering trees or even shrubs, give them a try, you will be impressive by the price. read more

My experience with East End Trees: I ordered about 30 trees from East End Tree's last fall 2015. They were suppose to be a mix of Norway Spruce, Blue Spruce and white pine. I explicitly told them I did not want trees delivered that were missing a substantial amount of bottom limbs. I asked them about their policy on trees that don't' survive, and they said "For someone buying this amount of trees they would, do the Right Thing". They delivered tree's in varying states. Some good some awful (turning Brown less than a week after planting last fall). They also substituted trees that I did not want, (i.e. Green Giants) instead of the trees I had specified. I let all these things go at the time. (although I have email correspondence stating that I wasn't happy with the substitutions). With regard to the trees that were barren on the bottom, I believed Lewis when he said the trees with missing foliage would "Green out in the spring". However, after contacting Lewis about a clearly dead tree this spring (emailing him a picture of the tree), his email response / expert opinion was "I don't know why it would be brown on top like that, make sure you water and fertilize it soon." I will post whatever pictures of the trees I can here, to show what you can expect to have delivered. read more

East End immediately called me, I explained to Louis that I needed specific amount of trees, shrubs and plants (large order) in a short time frame. Louis was professional, knowledgable and patient! I would highly recommend East End Trees. I used them after hurricane sandy to replace all my dead trees. I was looking for trees that could provide coverage and grow quickly. Louis spent the time to come up the right design and recommended different trees to use. They did the full planting as well. They were professional and did a great job. It has been over 4 years since they planted all the trees and we get tons of compliments with how well they have grown. We decided to plant an additional tree this week and rather than using a local company I went with Louis again even though they are located far from me. Louis picked out the tree for me and they planted it perfectly. The prices are also much better than most places and they carry large size trees. read more

When it didn't improve, they removed it and replaced it with a comparable tree. We love that they stood behind the trees they sold. We'll definitely go back to East End Trees! Terrible customer service. We ordered trees a week and a half ago. We went during the week hoping for delivery on the weekend. We were told no deliveries on Saturday. Ok, so we were told Tuesday and took day off from work. We called Monday and find out that we weren't on the list and our paperwork was misplaced. We again scheduled a delivery for Friday and took off from work. We receive a call Friday morning saying a truck broke down Thursday and that they are backed up. They said that they weren't being delivered today--after we already stayed home from work to receive them! Why weren't we called on Thursday so a vacation day wasn't used for no reason. So then they said that they will come first thing Saturday. We wait a couple of hours and then call. We received very unpleasant customer service from person who answered. She claimed that she had no idea of what was on truck and had no idea when they would come. She said that she would call back. She never calls back, and a half hour later a truck arrives with just our trees. It was clear that they weren't even going to be delivered until we called and asked. They dropped them off without apologizing for canceled deliveries or mixup. They said nothing--not even good morning. We will never buy anything from there again. read more

We ordered 12 trees. All 6 Leyland Cypress trees turned brown within a week. We contacted them right away. They told us to keep watering. Nothing helped. I asked them to come out to take a look. They told me we were too far and to just give it time. The trees kept getting worse. I called. They told me it was our fault. We must've done something wrong. If we wanted to replace they would give us new trees at a discount. They all died. We had another company come in and they told us they weren't planted correctly .
