Just stay in contact with him via phone or email when you need something and he'll take care of it as best he can. Wave at him when he's mowing or out in the yard - he's a nice guy!! The property itself (I stayed in New River Farms near the mall for two years) are fair for their price. My roommates and I each paid $475 a month for a four bedroom two bathroom unit. Utilities are all-inclusive except internet and cable, which you can easily call and set up yourself with any of the local Boone providers. There was a small kitchen, dining, space, and washer and dryer. My favorite part about NRF was that I could paint our unit. I hate living in stark white spaces and George was more than happy to let me paint. Complaints I have are small. The kitchen is really tiny, so when three or four people are in there moving around and cooking, it can get hectic and cramped. Neighbors are alright most of the time. When parties get thrown, everybody is pretty nice about getting to bed by 1:00 or 2:00. The only negative is the trash that sometimes gets left around on the porches and in the parking lot. Mail was easy. Trash and recycling was easy. And the location was really hard to beat for the price. Close to the mall, bus lines, and Walmart. Just make sure you pick good roommates to live with and pick up after yourself!

I keep mostly to myself but I do spend the majority of my time here as I work from home I love this community. It is quiet, the management has always been friendly and helpful, the amenities are great, and the people that live here have all been wonderful. I live in a building with longtime residents and feel like we could call on each other for support at any time. Residents take pride in their porch areas, decorate their doors with wreaths and for holidays. The community has multiple social gatherings each year where they host the food etc. Maintenance has always been very responsive although I have had very few issues. This year management contracted a local company to apply exterior insect control. It is amazing. We don't have any mosquitoes and many other insects are absent. It was an awesome decision especially for the pool area. The only thing I think can be improved is the manner in which residents receive packages. Packages from the postal service and Amazon are delivered to a central laundry room. Given that everyone receives so much Amazon it can try your patience at times looking for your packages. I'm very happy at Waterford.

I'm paying more than $800 a month for a one bedroom and I don't get parking in front of my own…read morebuilding. I have to park in front of other buildings. Dogs bark every morning, waking everyone up. This place is overpriced, but appears safe, only because people walk their dogs at night. I feel that there's a lot of young students, not following rules and obnoxious. The painters do a great job at making the building look nice, and the grass is always trimmed. They have washer and dryers on the premises, but very limiting in number. Washers are outdated and dryers can't really dry anything. The pool is always packed with people in the summer and it's only 4 feet deep. The gym only has one functional treadmill (the other one turns off at random times). The landlord told us they would replace our carpet, but for some reason the new carpet looks old and contains lots of hair from previous owner/dog?! Another problem is not getting my mails. Sometimes they leave a slip letting me know, sometimes they drop it in front of my apartment, sometimes it's just not there. The landlords are hard to deal and there's no respect after I moved in. Don't be tricked! I hope to find another apartment in hickory area so I don't have to park far.

The property is very well maintained and close to many amenities including a bus line. Nichole always made sure we were taken care of and our needs were met. There is in unit laundry hook up, as well as a laundry room. The neighborhood is very quiet it is pet friendly, they have a dog park. It's within walking distance of Conover Park and the library. Maintenance is friendly and works hard for their tenants even after hours.

The property is not kept up like it was there was trash by the mailboxes. The rent increase $150 for what. My apartment get mold, dishwasher does not work amongst other stuff. I get no response from management. I've had packages disappear from my front door. Tenants were notified of changes happening and the only changes I've seen are the people who work or lack of work here. I miss Bob who kept things in order.

The amount that you pay in rent should afford some sort of security. Either cameras in the parking lots, stairwells, and common areas, individual Ring cameras (or similar) on each apartment door, or an actual security guard that patrols the parking lots and common areas. People have been sleeping in their cars in the parking lot and leave before management shows up. It's just dangerous and not safe for the people that live there.
