She writes her name in cursive and was empowered to read at the age of five. She has solid math skills and knows all the continents...This is but a taste of what she has learned. More importantly, she is empowered to learn. The classroom environment allows her to help guide her own growth while challenging her to work on skills that will help her in the future (including things like using a hammer and nails and taking space in a place like a "peace loft" when she needs to!). She hasn't just learned how to be a student: she has learned how to be a human being in her world and contribute to it. People constantly comment on how "mature" she is for her age. She has self-control, she's relatively independent, she shows empathy for others, she is endlessly curious and asks thoughtful questions, and she can talk rather deeply about her feelings - among a myriad of other notable qualities related to her time at Namaste. The teachers are incredible, and the progress reports are detailed depictions of our daughter in the classroom. The school also encourages family participation throughout the year, including a "bring an adult to school day" and "gardening day." It is a beautiful community. My husband and I often remark on how Namaste is one of the best decisions we made as parents. What an incredible gift to give her this foundation for the rest of her life.

Nice array of group fitness, though I think Tues/Thurs should offer something in the 11am-1pm timeframe (preferably yoga). It has a pool, hot tub, sauna, many eliptical, stationary bikes and treadmills as well as other types of stationary machines. The view of the inlet and nearby park is wonderful while you work out. The free weight area is nice and the members and staff are very willing to help you and show you how to use the machines. The personal training pros can really help you meet your fitness goals. I love it!

Some instructors did have their phones out a lot, but it mostly seemed work related. I know they constantly communicate with the owner of the school. I took driver's education at 16 years old, then didn't get back on the road for 12 years due to a fear of driving. My main instructor now says I'm his most improved student. In my mind, the instructors I worked with did the impossible. Not only am I over my fear, but I'm a pretty good driver. Scheduling is a bit crazy - you don't always get the same instructor twice in a row, which I was hesitant about at first, but over my time with them, I drove with four different instructors, and each one was pretty consistent. They ask you what you worked on previously, and you go from there. You might not always drive in the same car from lesson to lesson, which I was also worried about at first, but in the end it was good to try out different cars. I would recommend this driving school. It's pricey, but the instructors are great, they really are concerned with making sure you become a safe driver who is comfortable on the road.

This review is for private dance lessons with Kurt and his co-teacher, Ellie. With only four…read morelessons, Kurt and Ellie transformed me and my now-spouse from klutzes into respectable dancers. We contacted them about two weeks before our wedding--the panicked point at which we realized we wanted to look good dancing our first dance as a married couple. (Note: I advise contacting them much, much sooner.) Thanks to their patience, good humor, and most of all, their SKILL in teaching the non-gifted the basics; we made it through our first dance very well. In fact, we actually got compliments from many of our guests on how well we danced. What I like most is that the spouse and I now have a new, social, active hobby the two of us can pursue together. I always met MBA graduates and they were ambitious and intelligent. Though far from the city, you can always catch the red bus into the city and recruiting does a good job getting regional and international companies to come to campus.
