My mom has been coming here lately to go crabbing, so she brought me to show me the place, and I can see why she loves it! The water views are beautiful, the breeze is refreshing, and the whole atmosphere just makes you want to slow down and enjoy the moment. It's well-kept, easy to get around, and has such a laid-back charm. Sometimes the best spots aren't the flashy ones -- they're the ones that make you feel like you could stay all day. Sandspit Marina is one of those places.

In addition to the myriad of boats docked in the water, there are a ton of them parked and stored in the parking lot as well. If you are a boat buff or even a photography aficionado, you can spend hours there appreciating all of the different angles, shadows, shapes. As I walked down to the end of the dock, I received a number of hellos and friendly waves from folks boarding and deboarding their boats. For the last month I've been ignoring an itch to buy and restore an old watercraft and after this tour, it just got even more intense. I look forward to one day pulling up and paying to use their fuel station, which, according to a fellow Yelper, is pretty reasonably priced.

The fuel is reasonably priced and the sewage pump out - well you have to do that yourself, and if you are like my buddy who doesn't follow directions, the resulting Trevi Fountain of feces (and maybe hepatitis) is worthy of "World's funniest videos" if done incorrectly. It will take a bit of time to get into this fuel dock as it is located at the head of the harbor and there are some 250,000,000 boats moored in there - so make sure your captain knows how to drive his boat.... argghhhh Over and out

My initial contact was by phone and Nick was awesome and very accommodating. Once I brought my boat over to the marina I usually dealt with Vinny who is one of the nicest young man that I have met in a long time. Vinny goes above and beyond to make sure all the customers are happy and getting whatever they need to have a great day on the water. This is a very nice place to keep your boat as they care about all their customers.

I've been friendly with Ranee and family for 24 years, long before she had this marina. During this…read moreperiod, if there are any traits I have seen, they include her generosity and work ethic. It went so far that for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary at the Fox Hollow Inn in Old Westbury, it was attended by Ranee. Herself coming from eastern Long Island, she did not have to do that. But having her there with my entire family (perhaps 100 people), including a couple that flew in from Grants Pass. It meant a lot. I'll never forget her being there for this. I like the marina, sequestered away in a quiet residential community. If you're looking for a secure marina for your vessel, this one should be considered.

A wonderfully picturesque sheltered spot for your boat to be safe, also home to Senix Inn & Tiki Bar. Get out your camera, some of the most beautiful sunsets you have seen. And hold on there's a giant fish hanging from a scaffold that everyone will want to take selfies with. Now that the owners daughter has taken over the business, West Shore Marina has been cutting corners left and right, and the quality has diminished. You could hear over our boats radio many other captains trying to dock with no response from any staff, it's like they don't care any more and that's really disappointing.
