It's been 3 years and they haven't fixed my Honda engines. In fact, they damaged them and won't accept responsibility. I'm currently working with Honda directly for a solution. BUYER BEWARE if you purchase a trailer from here!!!!!!! We purchased a 25ft Steiger craft Chesapeake and Sea Lion trailer from Great Bay back in 2019 (we only use our trailer twice a year once to drop the boat in and once to haul it out that's why this review is 4 years later) but since the beginning we have had a problem with the tongue weight on the trailer Great Bay sold us with our boat. It would sway back and forth once we hit 45-50 mph Great Bay adjusted it twice (slid the bow stop forward as far as they could the first time and moved the axles back as far as they could the second time) and both times told us it was fine and they were doing 70 mph with it with no problems However it wasn't fine because it swayed so violently it almost wrecked my truck as the trailer swung my trucks rear tires back and forth into ALL THREE LANES of sunrise highway at 50mph. Thank god it was early and not many cars were on the road otherwise it would've been a wreck that day! So we said to Great Bay that something's not right and we think you sold us an undersized trailer which in our case is a Sea Lion 6600lb capacity trailer but they claimed to us and I quote "oh no that's the trailer we put all of our 25 foot boats on and we have no issues" Mind you our boat DRY (just the hull) weighs 5900 lbs NOW add about a 1000 lbs for motor and bracket and another 1000 lbs approximately for 150 gallons of fuel so now we're talking 7900 lbs with no water in the wash down tank and no other gear or coolers onboard on a 6600lb capacity trailer So fast forward to this season and once again our trailer almost caused an accident as we were going to our marina so we decided to call Sea Lion/Tidewater directly which is the trailer manufacturer that Great Bay uses for their trailers and WHAT DO YOU KNOW even Sea Lion the people who build these trailers said Great Bay sold us an overloaded and undersized trailer just like we thought Sea Lions exact words were "you're overloaded before you even load it up with any kind of gear and the bow eye to transom distance is to the max. You're boat should have never been put on that trailer" According to sea Lion said we should have at least the 8200 lb capacity and have a longer trailer so we can slide the boat further forward to achieve more tongue weight and stop the sway. So now we had to go out and spend $9,450 on the CORRECT trailer to SAFELY tow our boat and Great Bay won't do anything about it other then say "well hopefully you can sell the other one and get some of your money back" No offer to take money off this trailer for THEIR screw up, no offer to buy back our current trailer that they WRONGFULLY sold us in the first place, NOTHING, and we know for fact that Sea Lion called and spoke to Tim (the owner of Great Bay) about this because Jasmine the very nice lady at Sea Lion told us she spoke to him and still NOTHING!!! So now we have to sit on a trailer that nobody wants and deal with the hassle of trying to sell it because Great Bay sold us the wrong trailer from the start. I find it very sad and disgusting that we even have to write this but they've forced our hand by LYING to us about this time and time again Honestly at this point even if they won't do anything for us then it is what it is but we don't want to see anybody else get screwed, hurt or killed because they were sold an overloaded trailer that causes an accident So let this be a WARNING to anyone looking to purchase a trailer for their boat from Great Bay make sure you call Sea Lion/Tidewater directly and talk to them about what trailer you should order for your boat and don't trust Great Bays word because they clearly don't know On a final note to anyone else who bought a 25ft Steiger craft Chesapeake from Great Bay that was also sold a 6600 lb trailer with it I'd seriously look into getting rid of it because it's overloaded as per the MANUFACTURER and if you get into an accident with it then that's on you!!! read more

a little surprised to read bad reviews. bought a used boat from them in 2021. they have worked with me on issues that came up after purchase, service department is solid, if they don't have the part ,they do the research for you and let you know where you can get it. Great Bay has serviced my boat now for 3years. Anything I ask of the them. We'll take care of it is there response. I also bought my Steiger they installed all electronics. Nice clean work and they stand behind everything. Craig Kelly was my sales person Mike did the electronics. I worked with a few boat dealers in the past. Once you leave with your boat they don't even want to talk to you. At Great Bay all questions are answered if not they will get back to me. Thanks for a great experience Love my boat!!!! read more

The service department of this dealership is the absolute worst. I purchased a brand new Monterey in 2019 from the boat show. When the boat was delivered they did not notice that the upgraded sound system was missing and when we got the boat in the water, the depth finder/transducer didn't' work. No big deal because things happen right? Well; I have been trying to work with their service department since 2019 to have the issue fixed to no accord. Yes they sent a tech out 3x over the past couple years but he was unable to correct the issue. Every time i wanted an update I WOULD HAVE TO reach out. Not once did they send an update as to my status or what they were going to do next. I also reached out to Monterey to complain on multiple occasions and nothing changes. Most recently i was told in Nov of 2020 that "as soon as we have answers, we'll be in touch". I sent one follow up after that with NO REPLY. It's now February 2021 and NOTHING! lm beyond frustrated with the lack of customer service and follow up. Proceed with caution. read more

Great Bay Marine just installed a new 250 Tohatsu that I purchased from another dealer out of state and did a perfect job. I couldn't be happier with their quality of work or the price. I was a little worried about having a motor shipped up from out of state, but they made the whole process very smooth and I couldn't ask for more. Haven't had problems wit this honda dealer until now. Have ordered winterization parts and been fine. This time needed something else and fell between the cracks. Called repeatedly for delivery and should've seen a problem brewing when I couldn't get a tracking number. Then after five days found that the parts sat "lost " in the shop. Got them overnight but when mechanic was on site was not terribly surprised to see completely wrong parts delivered. Employee response, "must've wrote wrong number down." Will think twice next time with great bay read more

When questions arose as to if I was ordering the right model, they were quick to respond. Their price was extremely competitive and when the trailer arrived, they put in extra effort to fit it to my boat perfectly. When it turned out that some adjustments had to be made, they were done very quickly and efficiently.
