You cannot beat the Friday night dirt track racing at Carolina Speedway! My son and I have been…read morecoming to Carolina Speedway for the past few years and I'd highly recommend this track to any racing fan! This dirt track has similar racing to the dirt tracks you might have seen other areas of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. You will find this track very well managed and operated. Things that stand out for me include: - There is plenty of free parking and it's easy to get in and out. - Tickets are not that expensive (~$20) and kids 11 and under get in free! - There is plenty of seating and you are not tightly packed in. Bring your blanket, cooler, and spread out! - The Concession Stand and "Sugar Shack" both have great food at good prices. I've found the food at this track to be the best of many of the other tracks in the area! - The prayer and invocation at the start of the race is authentic and caring. - The announcing is on point, informative, and loud enough to hear. - You feel safe as there are many friendly fans. You also see friendly police officers stationed nearby in case there is ever an issue. Paramedics are also staffed to handle any issues on the track. - About an hour into racing they have an event called "Kids Meeting Time" where the kids in attendance are asked to gather near the concession stand. They then get free candy thrown out from the track mascots: Mudwagon the Dragon or Captain Carolina. My son loves this!!! - The track is well maintained, safe for drivers and fans, and seems great to race on. - And, most importantly, the racing is excellent, fast paced, and exciting! We enjoy all the divisions and there always seem to be a lot of cars in each division. I've referred to Carolina Speedway as a "gem" in Gaston County and every time I come out with my family we have a blast!!!

We were fortunate enough to participate in a race event at Bowman Gray which my company sponsored…read more As part of the sponsorship we were provided parking passes and entry tickets. Some of us also had access to a suite just below the announcers booth. This was a cool experience because we got to watch the race while enjoying the comforts of air conditioning, theater style seats and a small balcony. All employees and their families were provided complimentary tickets to the event. Sponsoring the race also included opportunities to present winners trophies, tour the pit prior to the race and even ride in the pace car. I was given the opportunity to ride in the pace car for a 20 lap race. I know that most do not get the same experience that I had but if ever given the chance you should take it. This was an amazing experience at a racetrack that is a NASCAR legend. We had never been to anything like this and weren't sure what to expect. There are plenty of opportunities to purchase food at one of the concession stands. Typical event food such as pizza, chicken tenders and fries, hot dogs, BBQ sandwiches, nachos, etc. are available at reasonable prices. There are also specialty vendors which we assume change depending on the race. Tonight, there were opportunities to have apple cider mini doughnuts, ice cream, boiled peanuts, cookies, deep fried Oreos and frozen drinks. They also have merch for purchase. It appears that at one end of the stadium is the beer garden area but we did not check that out. We did not see alcohol served anywhere else but the suites and beer garden area. It does appear that coolers are allowed. There were signs when exiting the suites that said, "No alcohol beyond this point". Overall, this was a great experience.

I have always…read morebeen into cars, my wife also likes cars and we realized the Farmington Dragway is only about 20 minutes from where we now live, lucky us! This Dragway has a long history in racing dating back to the early 1960's. It started life known as the Sportsman Park Dragway but that name was changed to Farmington Dragway in the late 1960's. In the 1960's it was running under NHRA sanction but as of 1978 it was sanction by the IHRA. It is a an 1/8th mile track. We began to follow the Dragway on social media and knew the Southeast Gassers event was taking place on both Friday and Saturday in late June. Needless to say we wanted to check it out. We arrived shortly after 1pm and paid the $20 per person at the gate. We were able to find a parking spot fairly easily and made our way towards the track. The cars had already began to qualify and you could hear them speeding down the track, it was cool! There are plenty of options for seating, some people bring pop up tents to stay in the shade, some folks bring their own chairs and there are bleachers on both sides as well. We decided to simply walk around and observe the cars as they got into position and took off from the starting line. We were also able to walk through the area in which the cars line up before racing and get some close up looks at these awesome cars. There are concession stands and restrooms. We were also able to stop by the Southeast Gassers tent and pick up a shirt, sticker and poster. While it was really hot, we did have a good time and plan to keep any eye on their social media page to plan our next trip. We also felt this would be a fun outing for other car enthusiasts or when we have friends or family visit.

I choose Charlotte and I will never forget the experience. You're not limited to staying behind a pace care, you're allowed to pass other cars, you drive the car yourself, by yourself. Their instructors check you out first and if your comfortable with it and they feel you're ready ...... you go out alone! My girlfriend and my daughter did the 5 lap ride along and both loved the speeds and the experience. Only thing that went wrong is that I purchased the video option as well, and after I drove my 15 laps, when my girlfriend did her 5 lap ride, I used my sd card to video her as well and didn't know that it would copy her ride over mine.... Guess I'll just have to do another ride sooner than later and video that one..... Thanks again Seat Time Racing.....

When my turn came I had made 12 laps and was flagged to come in. After exiting the car and talking to my friend who came with me he said he only made 12 laps. He also shared with me that some of the owner's friends had shown up unscheduled. So I was pulled out of the car and they were allowed to drive. I spoke with the gentleman in charge he was very gracious to refund me for 12 laps. He also offered a discount for a return trip. Payment arrived within about 2 days, other than the couple hiccups it was a good day I would probably return.
