Came here to see "Wicked: For Good". Similar to other movie theaters (since Covid) the ticketing booth was not open. If you need to buy your ticket you had to go inside to the concession stand (if you didn't already purchase one online). I guess they use the honor code here because there was no usher to check our tickets and the staff at the concession didn't ask us either. Recliner seats were still in good condition. The concession stand was nice. I got a mango icy, which was OK not many choices. I'm allergic to blue razz and I don't drink Coca-Cola's they also had iced coffee, and a nice selection of candies no popcorn the bathrooms are clean. It was a good night at the movies. Sound went out in my auditorium. Got a good 30 mins with sound. After that you would hear loud annoying popping sounds, the voice audio would go out. The only solution the employees had would be to rewind the movie. As far as what they told us, the one lady was trying to act like it was only a minor issue, and that the sound would return normally after a minute. That was definitely not the case as it got progressively worse as the movie went on, the final time we lost audio no one returned to the theater for a good 5-10 mins of just silent dialogue, we didn't stay long enough to see if they'd attempt to 'fix' it. The movie was 3 1/2 hours long, we made it to about an hour 1/2, with the voice audio going out at least 5 times. Each time one of the movie goers would have to leave the theater and walk all the way to the concessions to let them know about the issue. They can only refund you the ticket prices if you go through a 3rd party ticket vendor. Any fees charged at ticket purchase won't be refunded, nor any of the food/drink you expected to be able to enjoy while watching. read more

Place is an absolute dump. Incredibly dirty, food and popcorn all over the floor as you walk in. Cherry on the cake was multiple holes on the screen in theater 3. We had to get a refund and leave. read more

The front booth isn't open anymore, reflecting the shift towards online ticket purchases, which is convenient. The ticket prices are reasonably priced for a movie place, which is a nice surprise given the usual high costs at theaters. The theater's cleanliness was mostly good, though the floors were a bit sticky. This might have been due to the time of day I visited. Despite this, the overall ambiance of the theater is nice. The staff were friendly, and the bathrooms were clean, which is always appreciated. Was here on a Tuesday afternoon and it was relatively quiet. All movie tickets on Tuesday are only $6 buck what a deal. Also a combo is $6 bucks too (soda and popcorn) Got to relax on leather recliner seats. So comfy. Saw two movies. Called some friends over to see the second movie. Top Gun Maverick and Bullet Train. Nothing compares to going to the movies. Bathroom is clean. One of the sink was out of commission. Will be back again soon. See you all at the movies. read more

Nice experience, full body very roomy lie down chairs. But they get very uncomfortable throughout the movie so we kept moving bc it started to hurt and our legs kept falling asleep. I would come back again and bring a better blanket and maybe a pillow for comfort though! read more

Pros: Back open! $5 Tuesday. Tickets are $5 and a large popcorn and large drink combo is $5 too. You purchase your tickets at the concession stand when you walk in and pick your assigned seating for social distancing. Recliner seats are wide and comfy and the screen is big! Cons: We were in theater 13 for Mortal Combat at 12:45pm and it didn't look like they cleaned this particular theater room. Popcorn on the floor and seats, napkins and trash in the cup holders but it didn't bother me too much. The audio wasn't working properly. We could see the movie but the voices were off. Then they turned on like a closed captioning voice over thing which was super weird. They quickly fixed it by a reset but we didn't get to see the previews with proper sound. Yelp reports this location closed; I am sitting in theater 12. Just to show how ignorant both management and employees can be, we went to the concession stand. We ordered the wrong special by mistake. The only difference would have been another drink for an extra $3. We immediately told them of our error before leaving the counter. Rather than selling the extra drink for $3, they wanted to charge us $7 for the extra drink. Since refills are free, we elected to save the $7 and come back for unlimited refills. I suspect we consumed more soda that if they had just sold the extra drink for $3. Thus they lost the $3 plus the cost of the extra sodas, besides pissing off a customer who had driven from Gaston County just for this cinema. A lesson well learned. Frequent your local business rather than submit yourself to this terrible customer service. Also, the Mission Impossible movie had technical problems. We are currently looking at a blank screen for 30 minutes. read more

Covid really put a damper on a lot of things especially movie theaters . This was my first time back to a theatre recently since the pandemic and I was disappointed . I ordered my ticket online , noticed walking in the concession stand was closed and there was a sign that shows where to buy tickets , but I never actually saw a place to buy tickets . There also wasn't anyone around viewing tickets or taking stubs . They were out of hotdogs when I went recently to see Wakanda Forever. It was the beginning of the week and early in the day ,and all they had was popcorn and nachos with stale chips . The theater room we were in was not cleaned properly , but the recliners were super comfortable . The screen was so dark for the movie , 80% of the movie you could barely see the actors so that was a buzzkill . Probably won't be back to this location . read more

We went to a matinee of F9. The ticket price was fine, the staff was good, friendly, and polite. The seats were comfortable, however........ The concession stand was super under stocked, to the point of ridiculous. You all know me, I am fair, and complimentary, but this was just too too much. This theater was "Out of butter" for the popcorn... I know... That was my reaction too... "What? How? The heck?" They were clearly not out of salt, because that popcorn was salty, though not as salty as my husband when he found out he could not get a pretzel, or butter on my popcorn. I make no apologies for our candid reaction, it was a Thursday afternoon, there is no good reason there should not be condiments for the most basic of movie snacks. They had Nacho cheese for chips, they had candy, and soda, but no butter.... This just kind of rubbed me the wrong way, because one of two things happened; either they ran out and did not feel like going to the stock room to replenish, or their shipment was delayed. Either way a sign would have been appropriate prior to ordering, having the bag filled, and then finding out the key ingredient is missing is never good, especially since the tickets were $7 each but we spent $21 on concessions! Sorry Ayrsley we will doubtfully drive all the way back there to see another movie, even though I was personally very comfy in the seat. Though, and this is minor, I am glad I wore a jacket, it may be 90's outside, but I was freezing inside the theater, everyone else seemed comfortable. read more

This should be a 3 star as they are A-OK. And I'm no fan. Yet, I didn't want to hurt their rating for something I can't definitely quantify. The seats rock and recline. The arm rest goes up so you can couple up. There are cup holders on the chair arms. The place doesn't have real butter. It's margarine. If you catch the 9:45p (last show) by the time you leave out it looks desolate. Deserted. The parking lot is ample with space and well lit. They offer a deal via the Arysley card. Student prices and matinee prices in effect. (of course military and elderly) They are running Throwback Horror shows for $5 This is a solid place and I have yet to visit all the other movie theaters often enough to give a true comparison. But for here - they offer a kiddie combo and Icee's. All the employees show decent service. I have seen them pull folks out particularly when I caught Get Out. I can't recall if the show starts at the stated time. Or if commercials air first then the movie starts. You can buy online or in advance at the window. In short, things are good enough here. Nothing spectacular. Nothing awful. read more

3.5ish! Went to see the latest Spider-Man movie so of course the theatre was packed. The lines moved quick compared to in the past but there was no ice in any of the drink machines! The counters were dirty and I'm sure sticky so it was clear no one was actively cleaning those areas. I will say one of the workers was doing a fine job of sweeping the floors. I probably saw all of 10 ppl outside of my group wearing a mask. Maybe the mandate got lifted and I missed it cuz I was shocked. I didn't see any hand sanitizer stations. Movie theatre seats were comfortable and reclined, sound and picture quality great but it was smoking hot in there so that was very uncomfortable. I'll try to come for an early showing next time. read more

Really nice theatre. Came to see Creed 2 with le bf. Lots of teens for thanksgiving break. Parking lot was full. No place to park but the parking garage across the street. The seats as everyone has stated are really nice and comfortable. I was reclined all the way enjoying the movie. Location is nice as well. Lots of bars and restaurants around. This place is in desperate need of a renovation. Yes the location is fantastic, but compared to other big name cinemas, unfortunately they cannot hold up to their standards. The chairs feel old. The ticket prices are not any cheaper than others nearby that have been updated. Normally we will go a bit out of our way to visit the theater that has been newly renovated with the full recline seats (and you can reserve online). The bathrooms are terrible and filthy, all the time. I would love to love this place, but I just cannot. read more

This is my favorite movie theater. You won't find a cheaper theater in the Charlotte area, at least I haven't. This is the only place I can find a $5 matinee still and they also have student tickets for regular showtimes. They haven't converted the theaters to recliners yet, but I actually prefer that. It means the theaters have way more seats and are less likely to sell out. It also means I'm less likely to pay $10+ for a nap. My only complaint is that there's aren't that many theaters so not very many movies show here. This frequently forces me to pay AMC way more money when I would rather go here. I highly recommend coming to this theater! Oh, parking in the lot can be a pain if it's crowded, but there is now parking in the garage across the street. read more

The cheapest movie theater in this side of town. Especially an AMC. Matinees are like 6 or 7 bucks and the concession stand is cheaper as well. Kiddie convos are 5$. You can't beat that. And the seats are updated and they recline. The theatre is usually dirty especially in the weekends but that can be expected at most theaters. read more

Since the pandemic, theaters have really suffered. This theater is no different. They are short staffed which means you will need to purchase your tickets at the concession stand and expect the facility not to be clean overall. Main lobby was semi-swept. Theater room isles were swept, but if you look behind the rows there is popcorn and trash piled behind all the seats. Seats were disgustingly dirty with food residue on the seats and arm rests. I had to get paper towels and wipe down my own seat. Staff was nice, but their appearance was unprofessional - which made you question who was actually an employee, and they were often sitting behind the counter and playing on their phones when there was clearly work that could have been completed around the concession area. Popcorn was SUPER stale it was inedible. While I understand it is difficult to maintain an establishment while short staffed, I think the staff could be doing more to have a clean facility and better concession quality, rather than primarily loitering in the main lobby area. I will definitely not be revisiting this theater in the future. read more

This location definitely makes me want to stick to what I know. We are new to the area and it seemed like it was going to be a grand experience. But it was the total opposite... unfriendly staff and the all theater looked like it needed to be cleaned. One sink not working so when I came out of the bathroom that had no tissue. I had to wait in line to wash my hands at the one sink Upon entering the theater my seat was covered in popcorn and better. So you must know if your a critic I reached out to them the next business day and the person was so bent on figuring out who to blame she never addressed how unhappy I was. Definitely didn't try to fix it. I suggest you stick with AMC they care about there customers. read more

Still very clean and very comfortable place to see a moving picture. Nice seating and the picture/sound is always good. I don't know what's changed in the last five years, but the parking situation has deteriorated. On the busier weekend nights when there's a big movie opening, expect to have to make a good hike. I am somewhat of a self-proclaimed movie "snob" since I was a projectionist in college and helped run the campus cinema (one theater, but we showed everything). I'm pretty particular how and where I watch my movies. Don't get me wrong, I will watch a movie anywhere, but how the movie is delivered definitely contributes to the overall movie-going experience. I know this place is fairly new ("new" to me since I don't find myself on this side of town too often), but I felt like the theater had aged too quickly - almost like it was smoking 10 packs of cigs a day. Something about it didn't feel right... the bathrooms (had nice finishes, but not too terribly clean). Maybe I just caught them on an "off" day, but an untidy theater is really off-putting to me. The movie was over all was fine... the seats left something to be desired. Stadium seating, but narrow rows so if you have some neighbors with small bladders like I did, your feet got a steping on. I think I may just be spoiled with the trendy theaters around town that serve alcohol and food to you while you watch, but would I go out of my way to watch a movie here? Probably not... read more

Nice theater! Comfortable, squishy faux leather seats, I could have fallen asleep here. We saw Ant Man and the Wasp here. Picture and sound were fine. Someone had their cellphone out virtually half of the film despite others around him asking super politely to put it away. So I don't think general movie etiquette is enforced here They were exceptionally kind about stowing our luggage as we had an 8 hour layover. Very nice staff and I'd go back. No fancy food but popcorn, candy and soda alright by me. read more

We prepaid for tickets online, so we had to pick them up outside (supposedly it's called will call) and then enter. Really cool venue and very spacious when you enter. Straight in you'll get there concession stand - we got the usual popcorn and icee. There's a combination for one large popcorn and one large drink with free refills. So we upgraded to that option and substituted the drink for a large icee. We didn't finish the large popcorn between two adults. We got the blue raspberry icee but we should've mixed it with cherry as well. We watched Aquaman, which is recommended btw. read more
