Loaded with toppings! So much cheese! My wife would love this. The cheese has more flavour than you will usually find and Jim's sauce stands out through the toppings. It tastes like real tomatoes not spaghetti sauce. And has texture. Seems they are using real food ingredients rather than super processed alternatives that may be cheaper. The funny thing is, this pizza is very inexpensive. I would definitely return to Jim's next time I'm in Port Hope. I look forward to trying more of the items on their menu. And if it's during the day, I may sit on their sidewalk patio and just enjoy this charming town!

Two of us were excited to order liver, bacon, and onions as we rarely see it on menus. There was only a very passing acquantance with onions, with only a couple of visible bits of onion in the gravy on my plate. Both plates were delivered with steak knives. My slices were very thin and extremely tough. When you can barely manage to cut through a thin piece of liver with a steak knife, that's a problem. The woman beside me, who had also ordered liver, thoughly enjoyed hers, and said it was tender and delicious. I will agree with "delicious", as I couldn't fault the flavour. Mine, however, was far from being tender. I had to fight to cut through it, even with the steak knife. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal. Not sure I would try Railside again if ever in the area.

And very unfortunately, the new manager has kept the ridiculous $24 "pre charge". What is this, you might ask? Well, people are expected to pay $24 when they arrive, and whatever they don't spend is allegedly returned to their account (?!). If you're confused, you're not the only one. I saw many people walk away from what could have been a lovely evening for them, and a profitable evening for the patio. Also, please note that this "pre charge" or whatever it is is NOT a cover charge to see the bands that play there. The bands do not see any of that money. This is is a charge by the patio for the privilege of eating/drinking there. I encourage anyone else who may feel the same way about this charge to let the manager know. He is a nice and very straightforward person.
