What lifesavers these guys are. It was about 36 years ago back in 1987. I think I have the dates…read moreright. I set out on a road trip from Norfolk, VA to Montgomery, AL to visit my parents. I was a 20-21 year old single female traveling utterly alone on a lone, dark highway when all of a sudden, I could sense my car losing power. I drifted my tiny light blue Ford Escort off to the side of the road. I didn't know what to do. Cell phones didn't exist! So, I locked up and took off on foot. Scared as heck, walking in the pitch dark on the side of some highway in Courtland, VA! Miraculously, in the near distance, I found a convenience store and a phone booth. I plunked in my quarter, explained my situation to some wonderful operator, who patched me through to T&A Repairs. Within a half an hour or so, this nice guy was towing my car to the shop. I think they had barely opened for the day. I remember there was lots of farm machinery getting worked on in this huge open space. This nice lady let me use the office phone to call my parents. I sat on a bench, sipping my thermos of coffee. Turns out my timing belt had torn and the fuel pump was shot. These angels worked on my car tirelessly for three hours - I don't even know how they happened to have these parts in stock. I don't know if I still have the receipt but it was some incredibly low price for what all they did. It's still all unbelievable to me, but what a fond memory of a terrific small business with the most caring people who were there in my hour of desperation. Thanks T&A!

I'm new to the area and T & A was recommended to me by my neighbor for their very reasonable labor…read morecharges. The first time I stopped in it was due to a possible problem with my alternator. They diagnosed my van for free on a Friday and got me in on Monday. Due to the nature of the part, they couldn't give me a definite time for pick up. However, as soon as the part came in, they got it done right away. They called around town to price check for the parts I needed and communicated wonderfully - calling and checking with me at every step. My latest experience was for an oil change. Due to their work load, it took two hours just to get that done. I didn't mind waiting because the employees are very friendly and I knew it was being done right for a good price. I think I've found my new mechanic!

BUYER BEWARE!!! I highly recommend staying clear of this…read moreauto repair shop as they do not stand behind their work. In July 2024 I had an exhaust manifold replaced due to theft of a converter where I supplied oem parts that I found $600 cheaper than they quoted me for the parts . In around August 2024 I noticed a tickling sound coming from the exhaust manifold that they installed I usually have the radio on and didnt notice until then. In sept. 2024 I stopped in to talk to Tommy about the issue who immediately started looking for ways to avoid the issue. He had his mechanic George look at my vehicle and found that the gasket was leaking and immediately got pissed off and started working on another vehicle without even letting me know the issue. So I asked Tommy what it was where he told me to buy a gasket and call him to schedule tie to install it.I called Tommy October 2nd after recovering from surgery and was told i have to pay labor again because he did not supply the parts. This damage was caused by torquing the manifold to tight not a part failure!! Very poor service practices in my opinion.

Do not take your car here. Went to get an alignment and they didn't even leave my steering wheel…read morestraight. Had to bring it back just to for them to have it another hour and a half, left scratches and dings all down the side of my car. WILL NOT BE BRINGING MY CAR BACK. I recommend you don't either because they don't know what they're doing.
