I did the right thing and forgot I could have gotten a power of attorney. Anyway, Bill and his staff took ALL of my important belongings. All of my clothing, shoes, jewelry, most of my books, all my music CD's. They kept just enough so the police wouldn't get alarmed. Then it was put in storage instead of being brought to my new apartment, as promised. When questioned, Diane said there wasn't enough room for my belongings. I had to pay Mallory to take me to the storage unit to get my OWN things, with MY money. I had a valuable collection of miniature ship models that she just picked up in her hands and then dropped back into the box. And she always had some excuse for not showing up. I was given only $200 a month for ALL my things;food, paper products, meds. I needed adult diapers at that time, usually three or four a day. They are expensive. I ended up stealing food to survive. I was severely malnourished. Finally, I called legal aid to set up a court hearing to end the guardianship service. That done, they got me sign a POA! It took four months for me to get control of MY money, and they were blowing through it like crazy. Judge Tomlinson said it had to be submitted by a certain date; it was ignored. Then he had to approve it. I made a police report. APS was called in, as was the state. They are all in it together. Since they are handling federal funds, I'm calling in the Feds. I also know another of his clients who died from malnutrition once he became Bill's client. Steve went downhill fast.Anyone who has been abused by these people, please call the appropriate authorities. If they're handling Social Security, call the SSA fraud unit in Detroit. If it's a Federal pension, call the FBI in Detroit. Time to shut this down...
