Lori, Kathy and Susan went above and beyond taking care of me. Lori did my intake and was patient and extremely knowledgeable of her department. She explained and provided me with so much information. She walked me through the entire procedure and made me feel like I was in great hands. Susan did my IV line and got it done smoothly and in one try. Kathy took care of me during and after the procedure. At all times I felt I was in great hands. I have to say it was my first time at Backus and I was very happy with their services.

I had dropped off a letter of recommendation for someone. While there, I was greeted by wonderful employee. A kind woman behind a desk whom I believe is a greeter/receptionist greeted me with a warm hello and how may I help you. Regarding the letter of recommendation, I was not sure who to hand it to. The receptionist recommended I hand it to the public safety officer (security officer) who was seated to her right, at another desk. He was very kind and accepted my letter - to which he said would get to the right person. Knowing me and the fact I like to browse gift shops, I walked into the gift shop. Lots of awesome things in there! The individual who I had written a letter of recommendation for was there, having an interview. Great news - he was offered the job! Can't say anything bad about Hartford Healthcare - Backus Hospital included. It's a great hospital/healthcare system! I found my calling too..

The medical assistant (Jeo) was so friendly and calming and the PA (I sadly can't remember her name) was wonderful and explained things to me in a way that was not confusing to my sick brain. I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone in need of urgent care.
