The confidence and help with concentration that she has gained through this training has shown in other areas of her life such as school. A team of dedicated AMA qualified instructors run classes in the Great Yarmouth region with classes available at Great Yarmouth, Martham, Oulton Broad, Gorleston and Hopton. The classes although offering the structure and discipline required to take the students to Black Belt & beyond, offer a fun filled but respectful environment in which children can interact with adults and children of all ages. Adults are also well catered for and with some deciding to take up Karate at the same time as their children; age appears to be no barrier. The Phoenix Karate School is a member of the Amateur Martial Association, (AMA), the largest martial arts association in Great Britain, and students are given the opportunity to compete. The Karate Kidz is the Junior branch of the Phoenix Karate School and caters for 3 and 4 year olds…read more With its own syllabus designed to take a child from complete beginner to a stage where they are prepared to join the regular Phoenix Karate School classes. My Granddaughter has attended this club since its inception and the class appears to be the highlight of her week. She loves it and it is sometimes an effort for her mother to get her out of her karate suit. (The Karate Kids have there own gi and logo). Each class gently introduces young children to the discipline and self control required in Martial Arts, through five fun eight minute sessions designed to maintain the child's attention. The Karate Kidz have their own belt system and the gradings which are sympathetically done gives the child a sense of achievement without pressure.
