After being recommended by family we booked a service appointment using the online booking tool. On arrival we were told there are no appointment times sharing the midday period and we'd have to wait for almost 40 minutes until techs were available. We appreciate lunch hours, however, why allow customer to book during this period if there's actually no work done during it? The website needs to be more clear about what times are drop and wait and what times are just drop off. We were told by family that previous costs for a particular service package were x. Our finals cost for the same package was much more than that for the same service level. Theres was an additional charge for oil over and above the package limits. The previous Ford dealership didn't charge that suggesting perhaps one didn't use the correct amount of oil or perhaps one charged for oil not actually used? We were supposed to receive an inspection report showing wear limits on tires and brakes. We never received any of that from this dealership. The inconsistency between Ford dealerships, the large variance in price for the same service package, the lack of reports, the appointment booking issues all combine to leave a very poor initial impression. We received a Ford Customer Service Survey which we filled out. To date we've received zero response from the dealership. read more

PLEASE STAY AWAY FRPM THIS DEALER!!! Unfortunately their sale persons are lying. I recently purchased a car from them, made the deal for a price and when we went to pick it up we saw that we didn't get a real discount, it was just an oil change package that they took off and so they reduced the price. We are from Kitchener. Right before leaving the city to pick up the car I personally called them. Mr BRIAN ECHLIN picked up the phone, I explained to him who I am and wanted to assure us that the oil change package is included in the agreed price. He told me "yes, sure". When my son was there to pick up the car Mr Echlin told him, that that package is not included in the price, but he wanted to explain in person. He DELIBERATELY LYIED TO ME. He was lying to me, the purchaser (we payed cash by bank draft), only to make my son drive there and leave us with no other option then to buy. I said to him that I don't want to make the deal anymore because they are deceiving people, they are not honest and he said the bank draft is a safe box and he cannot have access, "come back tomorrow". ANOTHER TRICK TO GET YOU! It is so shameful that we had to go through this, PLEASE DON'T DEAL WITH THEM. THEY DO NOT RESPECT THEIR WORDS, THEIR DEALS. Came in to buy a 2017truck and offer $30k on a used truck they had on lot for $34k, was hoping on meeting in the middle in the end for around $32k because that's what the market value was. The sales manager said we were joking and 'can't be serious'. We left and called again next day if they're open to negotiate but they hung up on us. If you want to buy I car I would not suggest Eastgate Ford. I attended Eastgate 2x (and had an additional phone call and texts) with sales person Brian Echlin. At my final visit to the dealership I noticed damage to the vehicle (dent+paint, and paint down to the sheet metal), upon pointing it out he acted encumbered and noted that since the dealership would have to repair it the sticker price would have to apply. (And pretended he was just seeing the very obvious damaged - significant dent to front pillar). When discussing ordering the same new vehicle (Bronco) he agreed a new one could be purchased for a similar amount, but then made no efforts to discuss ordering one. The most bizarre experience - I went to buy a vehicle, and left without buying the damaged one on the lot, and without ordering a new one. It was as if they wanted to sell me nothing - seemed very disinterested in making any kind of a sale. Also included a detailed story about other sales persons ordering/buying Broncos and selling them across the border at a profit. I would not recommend Eastgate ford - they do not seem interested in selling either their used or their new vehicles. And might have wanted to squeek a sale buy without acknowledging damage on their used vehicles (priced about what they were sold new for). It started with the appointment call I made to Robin, she was so pleasant to get me In for a service within an hour my call. Then as I arrived I was instantly greeted with utmost professionalism, I was immediately taken care of they even brought me a cup of hot coffee. Josh, the Service Advisor and his team kept me informed while I was waiting and did more than I asked them to do. I purchased a brand new vehicle from them this year. Had engine knock from the 2nd week of ownership. The engine blew. When they swapped it they did a horrible job resulting in the car failing again 10km off the lot. The new engine is still knocking and has caused engine failure in the new engine. The car has been in the shop for almost 2 out of the first 6 months and they are refusing to do anything aside from service the vehicle. I bought my car mid summer 2019 and won't have it until winter 2020.... IF ford can fix it. Living nightmare I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy's. Took my 2013 Escape in for regular service, Front brakes where replaced. oil changed and a fuel injection clean was performed. First my brakes squealed constantly after brake job so they tried again by buffing the rotors, brakes still squeal occasionally. The oil was overfilled and now reads above the max line and all four high end original steel valve stem covers are gone. I now suspect that since all the simple regular service items where completely botched by an incompetent tech that he probably didn't bother doing the injector cleaning in which i was charged 145 dollars for. I suggest never taking your expensive Ford vehicle into eastgate ford ever, Unless you want more problems than before you drove onto their property. Extremely disappointed with recent "Works" package on my new F150. Vehicle was left with extensive grease marks on interior windshield, all 4 doors, all 4 rims, exterior glove box and interior glove box content. It is clear that no post service COVID sanitization was performed on the vehicle whatsoever. If service technicians have such disregard for a customer's vehicle, it is difficult to have any faith in the services and inspections that are supposedly being performed. Shoddy service is insidious and brings businesses down over time. Employees who show such blatant disregard should be shown the door. The next day, the Service Manager at Eastgate Ford did make a half hearted attempt at cleaning the glove box grease and provided a new cloth bag in exchange for the one that Eastgate Ford soiled. Aside from that, little ownership taken by Eastgate Ford other than to say it was a "mistake" and "everyone makes mistakes". My mistake was taking my F150 to Eastgate Ford in Hamilton. This is too bad as their parts department has been awesome to deal with. As a Ford shareholder, it pains me to have to review such a poor dealership experience for an automotive brad that I wholeheartedly support in a variety of ways. These guys are completely fraudulent! Do not do business with them, for purchasing a vehicle or servicing them!! We bought a brand new 2014 Ford Focus. This car has a clutch defect which we were never told about prior to purchasing. We have replaced the clutch and operating systems numerous times through the Ford Warranty. This car is unsafe and accelerates into intersections. When we brought the car in for repairs covered under the warranty, we were told it was spark plugs for which they did a diagnosis and we're going to charge $500.00 to replace! I refused knowing it was not the spark plugs. We brought it to another mechanic who ran the same diagnoses and we were told it was an engine problem covered under the warranty. This car has a known defect and their service center lied to us in order to prevent us from claiming it under warranty. Even though this car was garbage from the beginning when they sold it to us, they are STILL trying to rip us off for more money plus more then likely claim the service warranty money from ford. Do not buy a car from here unless you want only half truths and to sue for a breech of contract! Do not bring your car here for service either because they are either uneducated useless mechanics or just pure money hungry liars! read more

Went in with my fiancé to test drive a Ford Fiesta on Saturday, May 29th, 2021. The "gentleman" helping us was older and in the actual office in the pre owned centre. When we got back from the test drive and they were discussing numbers, the man became extremely rude. He was unhappy that my fiancé didn't like the price and began raising his voice at us. I began to interject and he raised his voice at me and continually talked over me and interrupted me. I also work in customer service and I have NEVER treated any customer like that. I can't even begin to tell you how disappointed I am with my decision to purchase a used car from Eastgate Ford in Hamilton, Ontario. Some background. In February 6, 2020 I purchased a used Ford Focus from Eastgate Ford. Overall at that time the experience was pretty smooth. I was fortunate that I was able to purchase both the car and also Ford's extended insurance policy outright for cash. At the time, the only issue was when, at the time of signing my paperwork I was surprised, as was their own finance person and my salesperson that a car, which was supposed to be accident free, was in fact not accident free. It seems that the previous owner had a branch fall on the car hood and had repaired it. To be fair here it was evident that they were being honest with me about their not knowing this until I was sitting in the office with them. I was assured that the repair was "just cosmetic". I signed the paperwork and drove off with my car. As everyone is aware, very quickly after this the world shut down. On March 18th, 2020 we were all put into COVID lockdown. As someone who lives with an 80-year old I took the order seriously. By this time I had noticed that my weather stripping on the passenger door was damaged. Additionally, during the lockdown period I observed that a small section of the clear coat on my paint on the front right passenger side just disappeared and it was dull underneath. I have owned cars for close to 40 years now and have NEVER experienced my paint being damaged. Especially for a car that was driven very little from the time it was purchased. However, given the lockdown I wasn't able to get the matter looked after with Eastgate. Especially given that I live in Peel Region which has had a slower opening schedule. In fact, we have just this past Friday July 31st, 2020 went into Phase 3 while other regions, including Hamilton, were already there. On June 22nd, 2020 Peel region went into Phase 2. Like most people there was a laundry list of things that had to be addressed once we were able to move around a little bit and missed appointments that had to be rescheduled and completed. On July 6th,I left a message for my sales person, Brian Echlin, asking that he give me a call. I spoke with him on July 8th and advised him of the weather stripping and also the clear coat issue. I also sent him a picture of the item. Fast forward to August 5, 2020 when I took my car in. I had a couple of issues - two were the clear coat and weather stripping. In addition my transmission seemed to be not catching properly. Finally, I was changing my oil despite being 2500 kms under where I should be to change it - again, due to not driving it. With the transmission they advised that yes the clutch was very bad and would be replaced as still under warranty. However, imagine my surprise when I was informed that after speaking with their Used Car Sales Manager that the weather stripping AND paint clear coat matter was not being covered as I had waited too long. The fact that there was a global pandemic and I was not able to travel to their region until recently was irrelevant. Also, for some reason, even though we were all ordered in lockdown, their service department was open as they were deemed an essential service AND I was somehow supposed to have been aware of that. So now, if I want my weather stripping and paint repaired I will have to repair for it myself. All I can say is that they have fooled me - they seem and come across as honest and concerned and wanting to do the best for their customers. Obviously that is not the case. On top of everything, I have owned Fords all my life - my dad worked at the Oakville plant and we are a Ford Family. If they treat their family this way I can just imagine how they treat the public. There is a car salesman by the name of Rick that you should beware of. He sold us a Ford that required over $2000 in repairs! He did not disclose this information to us at the time of the sale. When I called him to let him know, he was extremely rude and said once the car is driven off the lot, it is no longer his problem! I found out about these issues within days of owning the car. I could not believe the poor treatment from Rick, he even hung up on me! Rick is all about a quick sale. He fits the stereotype of a typical car salesman. This dealership ripped me off! Service was good and did not include any surprises that you have come to expect/receive from other service centres. Easy to make an appointment with the Coordinator and they had many times available. I was able to schedule a drop off/pick up easily to get my car from the Service Centre. I wish they were open longer on Friday/Saturday and open on Sunday's; sometimes weekday schedules do not make it convenient to bring your car in Monday to Friday early afternoon. read more

I brought my diesel tuck in for a hard start.They made me change the FICM (fuel injector computer module). Truck came out of shop running rough after 30 min of service. Brought it back that night apparently lost all codes on the computer due to mechanic not fastening the computer properly so they said. Truck comes out once again still not running rite brought it back on 7 different occasions complaining about hoe rough the truck ran mechanic kept on telling me it was running fine. Finally called ford head office ask them to help me out she called Ken Kerr which is the manager,they brought the truck in and found the the FICM harness was pouched so they changed it. Now 2 days ago truck spewing antifreeze brought the truck in to discovery ford wich by the way night and day compare to east gate their knowledgeable and great to talk too they actually listen to the costumer.I had a bad EGR Cooler so they changed it. Today picked up the truck as i was talking to the gentlemen about the bad experience i had for east gate about all this FICM stuff he kinda grind at me and told me the FICM they replaced was never bolted down properly because there was missing a back bracket. Needless to say at this point my blood was boiling so i headed back to east gate about my concern talk to Ken Kerr told him he lost a good customer and that i will let people know about their service,you wouldn't believe what came out of his mouth, he said that that's the fact hes not fixing it and that i'm not welcome their. I bought a used car from Eastgate Ford with around 10,000 km. The add in the auto trader cited the vehicle came with satellite radio, however, after purchase I went to order the XM service to find the car was not equipped for XM at all. After multiple attempts to resolve the issue with Eastgate, they basically told me its not their problem and hope that I enjoyed my vehicle. I will never purchase a vehicle with them again as they are dishonest and do not stand by their ads that drew me in to purchase the vehicle. read more

Pre-owned sales staff were friendly and courteous, however vehicle purchased had not been properly checked out by mechanics which resulted in my time being wasted by having the repairs being performed by another dealership. Eastgate did pay for the repairs. The previously owned vehicle I purchased had light scratches on the side which I was assured by sales staff would be buffed out and not be noticed. The scratches were still there and noticeable. So, sales staff good, service, not so good. read more
