The building is actually a beautiful old place, only one floor but very long which is what makes it look quite intimidating to a child. The main central entrance to the school is very grand looking and was only for visitors back when I was there now it is the main entrance for children. The building is a figure of 8 with two lovely grassed areas in the middle which we used to use for science experiments etc.. We were very lucky to have massive playing fields and plenty of hard surface areas to play, a lot of the towns schools are not so lucky. I loved my time at the school, the teachers were all lovely and there was plenty of school clubs for everyone to join. The big hall was brilliant for parties and school plays. I used to love going down in to the basement to the kiln room and craft area.

Exceptional , qualified teaching staff, warm and friendly family atmosphere. Well groomed and disciplined students from tots to the more mature.. Take a good look at their website, its well worth a visit and you will find something to suit everyone. It's ten years since I first went to the Sixth Form College. It's a beautiful building which must…read morehave been a grand house when it was first built. It's surrounded by plenty of grassed areas for the extensive sports department. The college offers the full range of AS and A-levels as well as many GNVQs and also some other qualifications. When I was there, there was also an extensive programme of other learning opportunities. I learnt basic Dutch, did a first aid course, learnt about Japan and it's cultures, developed listening skills and many other things as part of this programme. There was always plenty of opportunities to go on field trips and holidays. The college has a very well stocked library with an extensive computer section for research. I think the only think that needed improving when I was there was the common room, which was small and inadequately furnished. Other than that it is a very good college (or was at least!)

I was very nervous when i started driving but Simon was very calm with me and i've now got more…read moreconfidence when driving. He only tells you to do things when he thinks you're ready and he teaches step by step so that you feel at ease when having a driving lesson. Im half way through my course and will deffinatly stick with Simon until the end, 5 stars. UPDATE: I've now passed my driving test thanks to Simon and i took up the chance to do a pass plus scheme. I found it a very beneficial course to go on as it gives you experience of driving under different circusmtances that you will have done as a provisional driver. I got to do night time driving, driving through a city and also on a motorway. It was a challenging but very worthwhile course to do and Simon explains everything to you and helps you out in the situations that you might not have come across before. I'd deffinatly recommned it to anyone. 5 stars for Simon!

Found this place completely by acciendent one day on a trip to scarbrough, we noticed a sign for…read moretheir icecream palour so stop to get icecream. The craft centre itself is based on a victorian street and it really does feel like you have been transported back in time. The street noises playing out including church bells it was quite surreal at first. There are 16 different shops which sell a range of goods including jewellery and candles as well as a bakers. I bought some buns from the bakers and they were lovely and cost 75p each. Also there is an icecream palour and I have a yummy icecream which cost £2. Great place if your after something different to do and looking to buy more unique good rather than off the highstreet.

This school is very "welcoming", "friendly", "respectful", "encouraging" - aswell as the staff, the…read morepupils, to say the least. It's like going back in to the past!! It's ALWAYS a joy to go there to work as "school pianist" - I've been there for four years, now (this is my fifth year). We have good times of singing. My son went to Raincliffe, it was his last choice on his list and didn't want to go as we had heard…read moresome not very nice reports about the school. However we were proved wronghe has made some brilliant friends and had some good sound teaching. He got some very good GCSE results and is now at 6th form college. Raincliffe has turned itself around and is a lovely small school which doesn't deserve some of the harse press it's had in the past.
