Dr. Ferrari will be performing the surgery and I feel as though I am still in the safest place with him as my surgeon. I would travel to the end of the planet if that is where I had to go for only him to operate on me. We only have one body and there are very few surgeons who genuinely care about the patient and not the almighty dollar. Dr. Ferrari is one of the few. He explains each and every step, he answers every question and will never make you feel like you are bothering him. Asked if I needed anything and informed me the Doc would be with me shortly. Finally I meet the wonderful Dr. Chasiti who will be ultimately performing the surgery. She asks me a few standard preliminary health questions while looking over my medical history. Before I could even ask any questions she thoroughly informed me of what to expect before, during and post medical care. She put my mind at ease and made me feel less nervous or anxious like I had been feeling before seeing her. I appreciate how knowledgeable she is and that she really made me feel that she cared about my up and coming procedure. Because she had to cancel and reschedule appointments during one of the most difficult periods of her life, your office refused to accommodate her or make any exception. The complete lack of compassion and understanding shown toward a long-time patient was extremely disappointing. Respect and empathy clearly means very little here. I was told that I would need a follow-up appointment for a cystoscopy and that the office would contact me to schedule it. After waiting three weeks without hearing from anyone, I ultimately had to call the office myself to get the appointment scheduled. At the follow-up appointment, Dr. Daniel J. Linn performed the cystoscopy. Unfortunately, the interaction felt extremely cold and impersonal. After the procedure, he told me that he didn't see anything out of the ordinary but when I attempted to ask a few follow-up questions, rather than taking the time to address my concerns, he started working his way to the door while offering vague suggestions/options. The interaction ended with him telling me that another follow-up visit would be needed. As a patient, I don't expect special treatment, but I do expect basic communication, professionalism, and the opportunity to have my questions answered. The rating of this place matches my experience and I will drive to SC or somewhere out of network before I have to visit here again.

I had to wait 5 weeks for a first available appointment. Then I waited more than a half hours in the waiting room even though I had completed all paperwork prior to arriving for my visit and I then waited an hour in the exam room for the doctor. Novant however, scheduled my CT Scan within 24 hrs of my initial dr's visit and offered several appointment offers. My follow-up appointment was scheduled for 1 month after my initial dr's appointment, but the CT Scan took place just 2 days after my initial visit with the doctor. I was wondering if my follow-up appointment is going to be moved up from 7-25-16 to an earlier date? Whatever my issue is, there are times when it causes me a great deal of pain. It was so bad Saturday night that I was not able to sleep at all...that is not an exaggeration. However, it was not that bad last night and I was able to sleep. It is just so unpredictable. I guess to sum this experience up, in closing, I would say that other than my experience with the doctor himself, I had a terrible experience. Let me correct that actually, the nurse that came to take me from the waiting room to the exam room was great as well, very warm, very personable. The uncaring "vibe" put off by the rest of the staff made all of the waiting and the overall visit a very unpleasant experience. Michael
