Front desk lady Diane was rude, dismissive argumentative and ignores requests. She just said "They don't do that" and refused to try. He is sitting up front talking about the ninja product she's thinking about for the holidays with her colleague and was too busy to do any work was very upset when I asked her to check with the doctor since I was 15 minutes past my appointment time . Then she ended up slamming my $500 insoles on the counter hard enough that I'm sure they heard it in the back room. They charge a lot for the custom insoles and force extra appointments to pickup insoles that don't seem necessary. Old doctors have retired. Not sure I'll come back again.... read more

(11/13/24) I should've listened to the other reviews about this place, but I thought I knew better. The only positive thing was getting a prescription for toenail fungus. The thing that I didn't like was the $287 charge to my insurance for cutting my toenails. When I went to my appointment today, the nurse wanted to put softener on my feet. I asked her why. She said that it was for cutting my toenails. I told her that I cut my own toenails. If I want a $300 pedicure my feet will be treated like treasure. The nurse left and returned saying that the doctor wasn't going to see me. Apparently cutting my toenails was the only thing that interested him, not the health of my feet. read more

I have been seeing Dr.Kaiser since Jan 2021. Both of my feet were diagnosed with Mortons Neuroma & Several fractures. It was bad. Dr.Kaiser is empathetic, while being direct & honest with her recommendations for getting you healed asap. Following her advice I did heal and things were stable. Months later I was not diligent with her recommendations and I am having the same problems again. I am back to following everything she has recommended and know I will heal again. I've been coming here for several years for my foot care needs. I've had laser treatments, toenail fungus and have had custom orthotics made. The orthotics have been a lifesaver for my flat feet situation. Dr. Kaiser is wonderful and very personable. It's like catching up with an old friend during my visits. I went here a long time ago and was satisfied. I return in December 2020.told them the pain that I had. Dr. Lind decide that I definitely needed surgery and said it will help relieve my problems, 2 hammer toes, buion, and he cut a section of my toe big out with new join to straighten it. Well he jersey the pins out at 2 weeks after saying they will been in 4 weeks or so. I now have more pain then ever 8 months after surgery, dr. Miller looked in to it. He is stumped, his words. Dr Kaiser has been my podiatrist for two years since I injured my ankle while running. Her examination included x-rays and a hands on exam. When my ankle healed, but the swelling remained, she recommended laser treatments that reduced the swelling. As a fitness enthusiast herself, she was conservative in her advice, but she understood how important exercise is to me. Doctor did not thoroughly assess issue with foot. Did independent research and my symptoms match more with another issue than the one this doctor recommended. Doctor has lots of experience, however attitudes changed in his office once I questioned getting a boot for treatment. More in the business of quickly seeing patients as numbers rather than actually analyzing what the issue could be. read more

I went to CARMEL Foot Specialists a few years ago. Dr Molan solved my problem. Recently the problem recurred and Dr. Miller treated me and suggested I have bone spurs removed. I've had two foot surgeries with Dr. Miller, who is excellent, and Dr. Kaiser has seen me and my daughter for orthotics and an ankle injury. Both doctors are smart, kind, professional, and know what they are doing. The office staff and nurses are wonderful. I also had MLS laser therapy to reduce post-surgical swelling and speed healing time, and it was amazing and pain free. They are under new management starting Jan 1 2020. Require existing patients to fill out lots of paperwork as if you were a new patient. How is this a problem for the patient? Staff need to transfer information, not make it a problem of the patient. read more

My son was referred here from our family doctor. My son who is totally affraid of needles and the procedure did amazing. His ingrown and infected toenail was removed and no tears were shed. Total waste of money! I went to Carmel Foot Specialists to have a fungus on my big toe treated. I paid not only for the office visit, but for multiple laser treatments and a $65 "kit" of tea tree cleanser etc to help heal the fungus. More than a year later and I now have a fungus on my other big toe. Paid to have that treated as well. The office staff is friendly but the doctor I saw was awful. He was irritated when I said the costly treatment was not working. I was never given any patient instructions. I am out of pocket over $700 and have a worse problem than when I first consulted Carmel Foot Specialists!! Take my advice and use home remedies such as Vick's Vaporub. Carmel Foot Specialists is a practice that takes a customized approach with each patient. Being a former runner, I have chronic foot pain and inflammation due to a prior neuroma as well as arthritis caused by multiple stress fractures. Dr. Molan has been able to present unique and new technologies to treat my pain and discomfort. He always gives quality time with me to make sure he understands my foot issues. My experience with other doctors always seemed standardized, and I felt rushed in my time with those doctors. Basically, Dr. Molan combines a quality visit with cutting edge technologies which sets him apart from other practices. Took a friend to this office to see Dr. Kaiser. At first she seemed kind and patient but did tell him he needed all kinds of costly devices, then was charged full amount before insurance was even billed. It took days for a return phone call when he was in much pain. When he finally went in, the only help for his pain was yet another device. $$ He then went to an Orthopedist and was given proper care, minus some of the devices. This rating is for the admin staff at Carmel Foot Specialists. They need to substantially improve their scheduling process since I showed up for 3 visits and was unable to see the doctor due to their errors. Once they scheduled me for an appointment when the doctor typically doesn't work. I showed up on time but since the doctor wasn't there I had to leave as no other doctor was available to see me. Another case happened when I showed up today for an appointment and was told I needed a touch-up laser treatment which wasn't the case. I indicated I was there to see the doctor for the last time related to my treatment. However, I was told that due to their error scheduling me for a touch-up laser treatment, the doctor was not available until 1-1/2 hrs later in the morning. I told them this was the 3rd time my appointments had been incorrectly scheduled and to cancel my appointment and I that I was not returning. Will not return. read more

From check in to check out the staff here was amazing. My daughter and I both have been seen here and each time we left feeling like we got the best possible care. The staff was amazing. I was a patient of Dr. Lind. I was prescribed a medication that needed to be specially made and sent to me and after a week I hadn't received and called and found they never ordered it. Looked past that and this week had terrible pain in my foot. I called on Monday morning and again Tuesday and didn't receive a call until Wednesday, which I missed but called back later. Never heard from them again. The Park Road office has terrible management and are very unprofessional. Since I couldn't reach Carmel Foot Specialists and they do not return calls in a remotely timely manner I went in to get my records. I was very unhappy with them and the office manager was extremely unprofessional including a parting comment of 'Have a Nice Day' meant to be sarcastic. I advise getting to a podiatrist who has his office managed well. I have never been treated so badly by a physicians office. I clearly got the message that patients come and go and none of them are important. They will not be there if you need them , I highly suggest you find another practice. read more

I originally went because the ball of my foot, under my pinky toe was swollen and hurting. Two weeks prior, I had woken up with a bruised and swollen foot in that area. I wasn't sure what had happened. Dr. Lind told me I had a stress fracture and put me in a medical shoe for 2 weeks. It got worse and then he put me in a medical boot that went all the way up to my knee. Turns out, this was a misdiagnosis. I never had a stress fracture and I ended up with more issues with my foot because I was in the boot for 6 weeks that immobilized my lower leg/foot. Dr. Lind set me up on a 2 week check up plan for a stress fracture that I never had. One of the check out ladies in the office was very rude. She said my portion of the boot was $166. Later I called my insurance to check and they said they were going to pay for all of it. So the ladies in the office, reluctantly at first, refunded my money. Sometimes the wait time was long and the care time was short. Dr. Lind was aloof and wishy washy. On my first visit he told me I would be better in 2-4 weeks. On my second visit, he said "I told you it would take 6-8 weeks." He could never remember anything that he had said to me previously. This is just one example. On one visit, he came in the room and started examining my foot. He was trying to wrap up the appointment, but he had never even looked at the x-rays that were taken. So I had to ask "what did the x-rays show?" And he said "oh, I didn't know they took any." This guy is a serious joke for a doctor. I don't know how he is still in business. After 4 visits, I finally gave up on him and his poor medical care. I went to Orthocarolina and the doctor there, took a look at the x-rays and said there is no way that I ever had a stress fracture. It wasn't showing up in 2 views and the area that Dr. Lind said had fractured, was not even the area where the pain was. Turns out, I have high arches and put too much pressure on that part of my foot as a result. I have kind of a tripod effect going on. All I needed was orthotics and other pad inserts for my shoes. Dr. Lind would not have made much money on this correct diagnosis, so I feel like that is why he made up the stress fracture with the every 2 week visits and the ridiculously over priced boot (they charged $500 to my insurance for it). Dr. Lind needs to be fired. I would not recommend seeing him ever, or anyone at this office. So, I'm now getting back to normal, but it's taken a lot longer because of the immobilization of my lower leg and foot. read more

I may not have visited more than a few podiatrist in my time however this is definitely the best office I've ever been to. Despite a rough start with showing up on time but still having to be rescheduled on my first visit, the care itself is fantastic. I went from not being able to walk at all to being able to do a slow jog if I need to. Previously all of my ailments for written off as being overweight and after losing 30 pounds and that still being my only diagnosis I decided to switch to this office. And I am extremely glad that I did. Very knowledgeable doctors, very friendly staff, very clean office and quick service you really can't ask for much more. read more

I went to this practice after experiencing moderate to severe pain in my right ankle. When I made the appointment I told the person booking the appointment that it was related to my ankle (so they would hopefully assign me to a physician that was versed in that area). When I went for my appointment, however, I was told by the doctor who saw me that she was not an ankle specialist, and could I come back later that same day to see someone who was. As inconvenient as it was to do that (having to take time off work, twice in the same day), I went back. This new doctor, the "ankle specialist" examined me and basically said he wasn't "exactly sure" what was wrong, could be one of any number of things, but he shot my ankle with cortisone in an effort to alleviate the pain. That relief lasted for two days, at which time I went to another practice (recommended by a co-worker) and took my x-rays from Carmel Foot Specialists. The new doctor told me that the x-rays were of "such poor quality" that there was no way anyone could make a diagnosis from them, adding "it's typical for podiatrists to utilize poor imaging equipment". The new doctor scheduled an MRI based on his exam and my symptoms, and I now have a diagnosis and a treatment plan--something that Carmel Foot Specialists was not able to provide, even after two separate visits, yet billed me over $500. Went to this practice several times and saw Dr. Lind. We were told that my son needed an orthotic for planters fascia tis. We purchased a lower priced orthotic to begin with. The first orthotic failed within a month so we returned and purchased a more expensive orthotic (more than $300) and told it had a 1 year warranty. Unfortunately, it failed in less than one year. In fact, it was cutting into my son's foot. So we returned. We asked to have the orthotic replaced. Dr. Lind did not even examine my son's foot and flippantly stated, "I'd like to see you get some more wear out of these". This was after we complained that the orthotic was cutting into my son's foot. We had to pay our regular co-pay for this visit and Dr. Lind (I'm not sure if he's a credentialed doctor or not) sent my son on his way, foot still hurting.. and NEVER EVEN TOOK THE TIME TO REMOVE HIS SOCK TO SEE WHERE THE ORTHOTIC WAS CUTTING HIM. If I were you, I'd think twice before going to this practice or taking my child there. I complained to his office. I was told someone would be calling me. I've yet to hear anything. I'm sending a formal complaint to the North Carolina Board of Podiatry Examiners. This is why insurance rates are so high. read more

I went to the S Torrence location 2 years ago last month to have a procedure done. I paid everything out of pocket because this was something I wanted to have done to begin to love my feet again. I did months and months of research trying to decide where to go. I was referred by someone to Carmel Foot Specialist. I schedule an appt, pre-op was great, surgery day was good too. The weeks following surgery I was excited to get time on my side to see how my toes were going to look and here it is 2 YEARS later and I'm so unhappy! Everyday when I'm in the shower I look down and I still have what I went to get removed. I always admire other women toes and wish I could've gotten what I thought I was paying for. After all the failed attempts to correct the problem. I called and let someone know how displeased I was and that Dr Molan's suggestions weren't working. She suggested I get a 2nd opinion from another doc. I assumed that was something the office was doing to help me feel satisfied. WRONG! The last visit was horrible! The girl Taylor at checkout got an attitude with me because I was surprised to hear they wanted me to pay knowing how unhappy I was becoming. She got into a back and forth argument with me while patients looked on. Saying something in reference to "I can't answer that for you" when I didn't ask her anything to begin with. My opinion is they were upset because I was unhappy and didn't feel they needed to do anything else. Nevertheless Dr Miller was really nice and told me he doesn't think anything will work I'm going to continue to have the marks on my toes. To top it all off, they charged me one price and billed me for a different price and when I called today (2/25/16) they were apparently talking about me during the hold time because the girl that transferred me called me by name when I only asked for billing. And Tori was very defensive initially when she picked up. We ended with it being a "mistake" on their part. I'm so done with them. They lost a patient NOT THAT THEY CARE!
