First off, Let me start by saying a sincere belated "Thank You" to Benny Bommarito, the Manager here at Eastpointe Manor Catering & Banquet Hall. My beloved Mother passed away on March 19, 2019 and when I called this business the following day, I was unsure I would be able to book quickly a Memorial Luncheon for family and friends after my Mother's church funeral. In the many years past, my parents were always pleased and happy with this hall for their church club functions at St. Angela Catholic Church. My Mother's sister Dorothy had a wonderful surprise 90th birthday party here a few years ago too and we all enjoyed ourselves for a Sunday dinner, therefore I did make the right choice. When I called on the morning of Wednesday, March 20th I was very happy and fortunate to talk personally with Benny to book a 11:30 a.m buffet luncheon for 75 guests in the "Lentine Room" also where my Aunt had her previous party 3 years ago. Later in the afternoon him and I along with my sister, sat down to decide on the menu choices. Benny was kind, sympathetic and very understanding of my loss. He was helpful too since I was already stressed out with other funeral details. The Buffet Style Luncheon Menu has many entree choices to select and was overwhelming to me. Benny had suggested the Chicken Marsala with salad bar, whipped red garlic potatoes, green beans and a meat and pasta selection. The two of us agreed and knew our choice was going to be delicious the way my Mom would of loved. Since our immediate family plus my Mother's side of her family is 100% Polish, he was kind enough to include the Polish Smoked Sausage and Sauerkraut for the meal. The luncheon meal also included tossed salad, rolls & butter, Vanilla Ice Cream Sundae as dessert with coffee, tea, milk, pop. The hall room set-ups were welcoming with white linen tablecloths, napkins and silverware. The Luncheon Buffet was set up in the center of the room which made it accommodating when serving the guest tables of 10. Our hall servers were Dee and Anthony who were pleasant and efficient at all tables throughout our 3 hour dining time. When I asked for a microphone for a guest to say a Blessing Prayer before eating, Anthony was quick to bring it to me. They both did a great job and also checked with me a few times about the food and beverages before I paid the final bill. The four of us children were given the leftover food already packaged up individually and labeled which I thought was great organization and worthwhile since I ordered an extra 10 plates @ $14.95 per person. (Yes, I tipped them both on the side as my Mom did in 2015 when we were here for my Dad's funeral luncheon.) The restrooms were clean and available in the lobby in between the two halls. Also handicap accessible. The hall temperature inside being the month of March was warm and comfortable for all my family and friends who attended the luncheon. I would highly recommend this Catering & Banquet Hall which is located on Gratiot Avenue and is 3 blocks south of 10 Mile Road in Eastpointe. Wonderful banquet hall that prides itself in very good food at an exceptional value. The waitstaff and bartenders are experienced and do a nice job. I was part of a funeral memorial and there was close to 250 people in attendance. The dinner was mostaccioli,roast beef, chicken piccata, green beans and garden salad. I found a deal for the Murder Mystery Dinner on Groupon at Eastpointe Manor. I've actually been twice so far. I enjoyed the Murder Mystery Dinner both times. The price was a good price for two people. I thought the food was good, and the mystery itself, well that was kind of cheesy. But all in all, a good time! You're seated with other individuals that you don't know, and I believe that's what makes the dinner fun. Just trying to solve the mystery with a group of people and just having good ole fashion fun! There is a lot of interaction involved during the Murder Mystery Dinner. I believe there are always deals on Groupon for the mystery dinner, so I would suggest for people to look into it. My husband and I attended an event here for a Murder Mystery Inc. dinner. The room was set up nicely and had the tables arranged to accommodate parties of 10. The hall was a nice size hall, which is great for larger functions, such as graduation parties, bridal showers, of even a small wedding. As the night went on, the wait staff was attentive and friendly. My glass was never empty, which was awesome. The food was displayed buffet style where you walk up and get your own serving of food. The only thing disappointing was that the event stated they had a plated steak dinner, but we got a buffet chicken dinner. It wasn't a big deal as all the food was really good. Even though I don't particularly like breaded chicken, this was pretty tasty. While it isn't the best quality food, it was a lot better than expected. The night went on and we enjoyed the event in a spacious room that was well organized and clean. If it wasn't too far away from my house, I'd be happy to host an event here. My only complaint is that it is a bit dated. If this place was updated just a tad, it would really be a nice venue. Otherwise, I'll probably come back for another Murder Mystery Event or host my own. read more

The wheelchair hockey league I volunteer for had a banquet today at Eastpoint Manor & the music in the room next to us was so loud we could not hear the awards being read. There were awards commemorating athletes of our organization who had passed away & the music made the experience very insincere. We rushed through the ceremony, because the music was so terribly loud & irritable. Even with our hosts speaking on microphones, it was incredibly difficult to hear their speaches. There were moments when the DJ would shout into the microphone and interrupt our ceremony completely. After several complaints the owner refused us a solution & said we should not come back. After ten years of coming to this location we were appalled. read more

I went to a graduation open house here a couple months ago, and the facility was...strange, for lack of a better word. Although it was a Saturday, it was eerily quiet and there seemed to be few staff present anywhere. In the two hours I was there, they ended up coming in and out here and there and were pleasant, but weren't around much. It didn't seem to be a very friendly or happy place in general. Light background music in the lobby and/or event rooms might've helped. The thing that was really the "tipping point" for me, however, was the food situation. I'm very close to the graduate's family and they were telling me about what was going on behind the scenes. They paid for four hours' worth of food and room rental, and the staff put the food out at the beginning, but took it away AFTER ONE HOUR. As an aside from someone who has worked in the food industry and banquet serving specifically, this is the purpose of chafers (the big metal things filled with water with flames underneath them)--to keep food hot. One must stir the food so it heats evenly, but they're used and trusted widely. This policy meant that ~75% of the guests didn't have access to the food for which the hosts paid, and as the guests arrived, the servers didn't offer to heat up plates for them. I stayed till the end of the party, at which point the staff gave the hosts zipper bags full of tons of food that was supposed to be for the guests. Needless to say they were extremely upset, not only with this policy but because they weren't made aware of it prior to booking the event. In sum, if I were to book a party, I wouldn't do it here. The staff are alright but not very present, the facility has a strange "deserted" feeling about it, and their policies are crazy. There are bathrooms on both sides of the dinning area so that was nice. Their drink prices were way over priced-$10 for a double? What is this? Comerica Park? The murder mystery dinner was fun. Sometimes it was hard to tell who was a patron and who was an actor because some of the patrons really got into their parts. The inside was really pretty. After bringing my organization to this venue for 10+ years and spending over $15,000 here, we will NO LONGER be using Eastpointe Manor. My organization was holding a quiet annual banquet where players from a wheelchair hockey league attend with their families to celebrate the season. We were also paying tribute to a player who had recently passed away..... and booked in the next room was a LOUD wedding, blaring music during our entire stay, not turning it down and being rude, the staff didn't seem to care - ruining our banquet and a special night for many of our players & families and drowning out our speeches. We got in contact with the owner and his exact words were "you're not getting a refund, and I don't care if you come back" - oh don't worry we won't be - and you just lost guaranteed annual business. ---------------------------------------------------------- We were never informed prices had risen, we would've gladly paid them, so don't turn this around on us. The staff asked the party ONCE to turn it down, the party turned it down for 30-seconds, then turned it up LOUDER. Your staff set up the wedding party DJ on the PARTITION... how stupid is that? My group repeatedly requested the wedding to turn it down - with no assistance or support from your staff. Billy would've been on it and fixed it or came to a compromise. The wedding party got louder as the night went on and ruined our night and special moments for players and their families. read more

My wife and I had our wedding reception at Eastpointe Manor on 9/30/2017, and we can not say enough good things about this venue and its staff. From the very beginning, Benny, the owner was so helpful, kind, and hospitable to us. We were allowed to come into the hall the day before and prepare the hall the way we wanted. There was a small party the morning of our reception on one of the sides of the hall, and he assured us his staff would set up the rest of the room for us. The food was phenomenal. This is something we had heard about from many other people when discussing this venue, but it exceeded even our expectations. The chicken marsala and the roast beef were our meats, and we had 2 pastas, a salad, a vegetable, and rolls along with it. In addition, we had cheese and crackers along with meatballs for our cocktail hour. After dinner, they provided dessert which was ice cream along with sundae toppings. Lastly, they provided a late nigh snack which was pizza from Buscemis and there was plenty of it! The guests continually complemented the food along with the overall décor of the hall. As far as the bar goes, they had both bars open to us and the bartenders were engaging and friendly. We decided to go with the house liquor, but we were allowed to bring in our own alcohol to have them serves as well (we brought in Fireball, Rumchata, Jager, and Margarita mix). Everyone complimented the drinks, the speedy service, and the friendly workers. Like I stated earlier, I can not speak highly enough about this venue and its staff. It looked beautiful and it was incredibly accommodating for a wedding that had over 200 people. I would recommend this to anyone looking to have a wedding. The price was affordable, and we more than feel that we got our moneys worth. I feel as if people are passing over this venue because of its location, but trust me when I say, top to bottom, Eastpointe Manor goes toe to toe with the best venues in Macomb County. My wife and I are so thankful for the service and support Benny and his staff showed to us, and we hope that others get the chance to have an experience like we had. I went here to go see the murder mystery show. The show was great, but the under cooked chicken I was served was not. I showed the chicken to the wait staff and all they did was offer me a second piece that was under cooked. I asked to talk to a manager but they just went back into the kitchen and ignored me. We had a funeral luncheon on Saturday February 21, 2009 at Eastpointe Manor and it was a wonderful experience. We met with Benny Bommarito who made lots of helpful suggestions about food and set up. He quoted us a great price. We told him we expected 50-65 people and we actually had more than 100 show. Benny and his staff set up tables and had enough food to take care of everyone. It was done so effortlessly, quietly and without any stress. His staff also took care of the announcing and deciding how to run everything. It was the best experience at a time when it was so appreciated. The food was delightful. Everyone commented on the quality and presentation. The buffet table was so lovely and the center piece of flowers were beautiful. There was even a table set up for the memorial boards for all to enjoy. Today, I attended the annual WCHL Banquet at Eastpointe Manor. This is an event that the Wheelchair Hockey League looks forward to every year and we have held the banquet here for the past ten years. Unfortunately, this will likely be the last time we use this facility. A wedding reception was being held in the banquet area next to ours and the music was so loud we couldn't hear what was going on in our own banquet. We asked the staff if they could explain to them that we were trying to present speeches and awards hoping that they would turn the music down a bit. The music was turned up louder. A few of our players and parents went over to ask if we could just have fifteen minutes to get through our presentations, and we were ignored. Management told us there was nothing they could do. We called the owner and were told that we shouldn't come back next year and he would not refund any of our money to us or do anything to try to remedy the problem. Please understand that the WCHL is a non-profit organization for individuals in wheelchairs who have a variety of disabilities. These players spend a lot of time planning this banquet every year and this complete lack of professionalism and customer service is utterly appalling. If ten years of loyalty by our league means nothing to this establishment we will find someplace that is willing to treat us with the respect we deserve. read more
