I developed a skin condition in Jan 2026 and went to Eastside dermatology for a diagnosis in Feb 2026. I returned 3 more times, saw 4 different people, a different one for each visit, got the wrong diagnosis, no proper follow up, and no biopsy was taken until I asked for one on the third visit. They only prescribed my steroid pills and cream, and no proper research was done. Finally, they said it was an allergy, at which point I went to the head of the Allergy department at Henry Ford Hospital. He said it was not an allergy at all, and I needed to see a good Dermatologist. I went to the Dermatology department at Henry Ford Hospital; they took a new biopsy and diagnosed me with Grover's disease in less than two weeks. They told me to stop taking all the steroid cream and prescribed a 3-step plan for my disease. I will NEVER return to Eastside again, and I recommend no one else goes to them either. Also, the visits were extremely short and yet they charged for each one. I wrote them a letter and refused to pay for unprofessional service and inaccurate information. read more

I finally decided to go against my better judgement, to try this dermatologist despite the reviews. I'm not happy to say I should of listened to the reviews, my face is worst now then before going. I was told I have a little acne & try using Ambi, I could buy in the store. That didn't work the Dr. Then prescribed a over the counter medication it looks like Vaseline, however that didn't work either. Lastly, I was prescribed Adapalene, $60 bucks that just make it even worst no one even informed me how to use it. I called the nurse she walked me through it over the phone. She recommended I buy Neutrogena hydo boost to stop the burning, that didn't work it felt more painful. Two days later called to schedule an appt. I thought about it I don't want to go back here so I called to cancel my appointment, the receptionist kept asking me why I explained as I'm talking she hangs up on me how professional. read more

This was my first time coming here, and I had a fabulous experience. The staff was kind and welcoming, and the waiting room was comfortable. I barely waited to be taken to an exam room, maybe 8 minutes after filling out my paperwork. Dr Filipof was so friendly and personable; she also was extremely thorough in my skin exam. She did a couple of biopsies which were painless. I'm already recommending Dr Filipof to my friends. So happy I found this office! read more

Had been accepted as a patient here in the past but apparently since my last visit they stopped taking our health insurance. Unfortunately they did not ask me about my insurance coverage that when I booked the appointment three weeks prior. I had to take time off of work & pull my daughter out of a class to make this afternoon appointment. The final kicker was that I offered to give them my insurance card when I first walked in the door but they said no that they would call me up to the desk. I waited in the lobby A. half hour before they asked for my insurance information. It was at that point they told me that they didn't my insurance. In all I wasted about 2 1/2 hours on this effort and now have to wait 4 weeks to see a different dermatologist! Soooo angry! read more

i was there several months ago where she caught 3 different places on my face that looked pre cancerous...it was great experience. thats why i was so set back by the way i was treated today. the first experience they looked at my ins and told me it would be $35. tht was fine. this time they said they cant tell me how much its going to be!!! very irritated about this. all they had to do was say let me see your card and we will find out but no they couldnt do that. and that was exactly why i left! i thought they HAD to tell you how much but i guess im wrong. never going there again! read more

Unless you have all day to sit in a waiting room, do NOT go here. I was kept waiting for over an hour in the lobby area. When I told them I was leaving they said you're next and put me in an exam room where I sat for another 45 minutes. I finally just left after almost 2 hours. Do NOT ever go to this clinic. First off - you will never wait less than 45 minutes for an appointment. My average wait time there was 1.5 hours. Secondly - I was misdiagnosed TWICE for the same skin condition. I made several appointments because the treatments they prescribed were never effective. I saw several different doctors who always failed to introduce themselves to me and who spent less than 5 minutes with me. They were VERY unhelpful at answering questions and made it clear that they had very little time to spend with me. This facility is interested in making money - not helping their patients. I was misdiagnosed several times because doctors did not take time to look at me. I went to another dermatologist in the area and was correctly diagnosed immediately. I have found relief for my problem for the first time in years; because of my misdiagnosis I was doing everything WRONG for my skin condition and making it worse. I have also discovered that it may be a symptom of a much more serious problem - be warned! DO NOT go to this clinic if you want an accurate diagnosis and a doctor that will take the time to look at you properly and speak to you about your problem. I am absolutely appalled with this clinic. There are MUCH better dermatologists in the area; don't waste your time! read more

Well if I had looked at the previous reviews I could have saved myself some hassle. I waited an hour and twenty minutes before I went to an examination room, where I waited for the doctor for another twenty minutes. My doctors opening line after all that wait? "That'll teach you to schedule your appointment later in the day huh?" Worst medical experience ever, stay away. read more

I took my six-year-old daughter here several times to treat her molloscum. The nurses perform all of the treatments that you would think the doctor should perform. After one of the treatments my daughter blistered badly. The nurse seemed like she was in a hurry and was making a mess with the (extremely powerful) medication. The next treatment my daughter was understandingly apprehensive. The doctor and nurse were not the least bit understanding and threatened to "get the rest of the staff to hold her down". The whole office definitely portrays a very cold, stuffy atmosphere. It is definitely not child friendly. I had the feeling they were not out for the patient's best interest. read more

They weren't too helpful with providing information about my skin condition, which is HS. One doctor there was pretty good but rarely in the office. Overall, not too satisfied with their approach for long term treatment in alleviating my condition more of just a one treatment approach. read more

Fantastic care. Dr. Filipof literally saved my life when she diagnosed an almost-invisible cancer on the surface that ended up being 8 sq. cm. underneath my scalp. To the other reviewers - you had to wait? Boo hoo. Sometimes that's the cost of good care. read more

If I could give zero stars for this practice I would. The wait times are very long then once you see a doc the appointment is rushed. The staff seems annoyed when you ask questions. You never see the same person, which is important when you have a history of skin cancer in your family and regularly have suspicious things frozen off or removed. I felt that they aren't interested in patient care, just cramming as many people in to make as much money as possible. read more
