And, according to the family doctor will almost certainly have permanent scars from the laser burns Holly inflicted. My lawyers have reached out to Holly to obtain her insurance info, which she is refusing to provide. Further, Holly had promised to refund the $200 gift card I had with her. She has not. And has kept an additional $50 she charged to my credit card that she was never entitled to. (Which I have filed a fraud report with my credit card company over.) Do not get treated at Reawaken Spa. Not only did Holly leave me with documented (by her, me, and multiple sets of doctors) second degree burns, but she is not professional enough to take responsibility for them by letting her insurance company and my lawyers properly settle the matter. Based on this action of her, I fear the only remedy is going to court (vice settling it between the lawyers and her insurance, since she refused that option) and filing a report with her RN licensing board because I genuinely fear what she will do to her patients, especially as a nurse.

On top of all this, I drove back to the med spa an hour after the appointment to show Holly the burns (which she photographed for her own records) and she took no accountability in an email she sent hours later despite initially sending in a prescription for antibiotic ointment to my pharmacy.

Thanks Doc! I also appreciated that she gave me a bunch of coupons for new products. Cons: As I was working that day I made an appt. for 7:30a assuming I'd be the first patient there. Nope. I arrived to find at least 4 other people in the waiting room. After waiting more than 30mins I was shown into a room. Chatted w doc for a few minutes before she left to have me answer more medical paperwork questions w an assistant. I had filled out my paperwork online before arriving, but the medical staff wasn't made aware of that, which caused my wait time to be even longer. I did mention to the assistant that I think I accidentally wrote down the wrong amt of mgs for one of my prescriptions and she said I'd have to fix that at the front desk...? Why? She was literally checking my medical history. And I want going to discuss my medicine at the front desk in front of an office full of people. Because of the medical paperwork snafu and the fact that more patients had arrived I waited and waited for the doctor. All told I was there for over an hour. Not a great first impression; will stay w my current derm.

Completed all necessary request he asked of me blood work, etc. Despite this, Dr. Nelson disregarded my history and prescribed the same ineffective medications. Furthermore, I have waited over seven weeks for a specific medication discussed during my visit. Despite following up with assistants and the practice manager, I have received no resolution and was told she has to side with the doctor. This was a complete waste of my time. Requiring me to take time off work for repeated visits--only to wait two hours in the lobby without receiving the necessary care is unacceptable. So if you have a serious condition and you are seeking effective care, don't go here.

He will tell you what is realistic for your goals. The staff is great, too, and they even know my voice when I call on the phone. The one not so good experience I had was with a microneedling procedure with PRP (I'm not good with blood draws, so it was more my own fault), but they wanted me to have a positive experience and treated me to a complimentary facial the next time I came in. As for all the negativity, I really don't get it, other than there always will be those few disgruntled people. Not every surgeon is for everyone, and that's ok. However, i can't speak for other areas, but I have never been to one plastic surgeon who does not charge a fee for an initial COSMETIC consult (maybe the talented physicians in Beverly Hills are just so prevalent, or they're so rich they can spend time on free consults day in and day out). This fee can be applied to a procedure, and I've always thought that was standard practice. Dr. Z also works with residents, so it's usually him, a nurse, and a resident in the room. The future surgeons and doctors have to learn, too. I found him on RealSelf, where there are lots of reviews. I would also encourage you to look him up on Instagram or Facebook.
