This place has gone down hill in my opinion and it is sad because I used to really enjoy coming here. Michigan Advanced Aesthetics used to be state of the art with the best staff, equipment and on top of all the beauty trends. It has now become more expensive compared to other MedSpas in the area and you are not getting the bang for the buck. Very disappointed with my second experience here. I got the biorepeel blue (30% tca) all over my face, which turned out fine. However, the esthetician suggested getting the gold (50%) specifically on the dark spots on my face. As you can see on my chin area, there was no significant pigmentation there that needed to be treated. However, the gold was spread across my chin instead of on the specific dark spots there, resulting in a NEW patch of pigmentation that I didn't have before. I was treated for a chemical burn from my dermatologist and given hydroquinone and other medication to treat the area after it finished peeling. Hopefully it clears up before the spring, but I do modeling and now I have a large area to cover up, instead of spots - this is unacceptable on my face. My issue is that it was not applied where it was supposed to be. I didn't receive a response from the esthetician when I expressed my disappointment, hence the review. I really regret getting the peel here because my skin was better before. This was right before a significant event that I was going to, which made this experience even worse. read more

They never accepted the fact that they messed it up and would help to make it better. They injected the line below my lio and never offered to make it better or help the problem. read more

I started coming here a few months ago for laser hair removal on my chin/face. Beverly performs these treatments on me and she is an angel. My first treatment lasted five minutes and was utterly painless; I couldn't believe it. To be honest, I thought I got ripped off. I've had treatments in the past and they usually last way longer and are more uncomfortable. But the results spoke for themselves. I've now had a second treatment where we went more in depth and she was SO nice to me when we went over more sensitive areas. She let me numb, she gave me icy tools, and she went as quick or slow as I needed. The hair growth is almost nonexistent at this point and I couldn't be happier. I started to get Botox and filler here as well, and again, I'm loving the results. Sarah is great. She doesn't sell you things just so she can get needle-happy on your face--which I've experienced in the past. She's very easy to talk to, let me numb for as long as I needed and explained everything along the way. She also tells you what's great about your face and doesn't focus on what should be "fixed." If you want natural, she's got you. If you want everything plump and juicy, she can do that too. (Also, the receptionist is a doll and will get you as many discounts and offers she can find; she quite literally saved me over $300 on my last appointment.) Beauty enhancements and services like these are not one-size-fits-all, and this place understands that. I'm grateful to have stumbled on this place; I highly recommend. read more

Okayyyyyy here goes. I have been coming to michigan advanced aesthetics since 2021. I first came and got the enlighten peel for hyperpigmentation preformed by Kate. Great results loved it. Came here again in 2022 and got another enlighten back in March..again great results, also preformed by Kate. Now this is where things get bad. I came here last week to get the perfect derma peel which I figured would eliminate the rest of the pigmentation that I had. This time it was done by Beverly who by the way is also great, sweet lady. It gets bad because there were BARELY any results!! My face looked the exact same with the exception of it being overall brighter. If your a skin geek you know that medium depth peels can have some truly beautiful results and that was just not the case with me. It brought my acne up to the surface and basically set me back to square one. And to prove I'm not lying, Beverly took an after photo of my face, compared it to the old and she even noticed the same thing. Mind you I take peels VERY SERIOUS as I don't have tons of money to throw at my my skin so I strayed inside the whole week followed all the instructions and this peel was $250. I seriously just wanted my money back. Beverly was kind enough to give me some extractions and some products to take home but it still dosent excuse the fact that I am not out $250 for a service that I and the Aesthetician saw showed minimal results. And the products there are supppppperrr expensive and trying to have a whole routine with them? Your gonna be broke lol. I just want clear beautiful skin. This place isn't a bad place at all they are nice people but I don't recommend the perfect derma peel to anyone with dark spots or skin of color. Get the enlighten instead! read more

Laura was wonderful! I had a hydrofacial a few months ago and I have had to actively hold myself back from going back every 3-4weeks, haha. If I had the funds, I would go see her all the time! While I knew what I wanted, they didn't sit me down say "this is all this all the other things we could do to make you look even better," like some places do, which I feel is pretty condescending. They listened to me and made me feel comfortable. No pressure! They were able to correct a small mistake a different place I went to made. A great place for facials and other treatments. However I would Deter anyone from doing injectables. The first experience, the Botox at my brow was uneven. The second time I had a bruise on my forehead for 4 days. While I addressed it with Laura, she apologized. My bf who is now my husband took me to Michigan advanced aesthetics as a treat of his part since he always gets his facials at this place and was happy with them. I will start by expressing how upset I am with the facial I have been given. I have always had perfect skin always got compliments on it. and even the people who work there as soon as i walked in they were like wow you have gorgeous skin. Now the lady that i worked with, Beverly, had a sweet personality however the facial she gave me changed my skin forever. When i walked in i expressed my concerns and things i needed to get done. in no stage she has told me that she was about to shave my face. I was lying there and not even knowing what she was doing when I realized that she was shaving my face i asked her to stop coz i was afraid the hair on my face will grow thicker and i didnt have any hair on my face to begin with. she reassured me and told me not to worry and the hair will just grow back to be like it was. When she got to the part to do my mustach, I asked her not to touch it coz i simply didnt think it needed to be removed. She later on when i left to the bathroom and she was left alone with my boyfriend who is now my husband told him, that she never encountered any woman that refused to get her mustach removed. I have been told this by my husband after a couple months..... Seriously how unprofessional could you get? I also asked her to remove the black heads on my nose and she was like oh no I will just keep on shaving you. 3 months later Im still breaking out like crazy, like i never have in the past and my facial hair grew to be thicker. Im a very peaceful, nice person and I dont like writing negative reviews but honestly.... when you get your face fucked for life thats a HUGE issue that couldnt be forgiven. Because I have never asked for it to begin with. I never asked to have my face shaved nor get a dermaplane. People, please be careful who you trust your face with and dont just trust someone because a friend recommended them.and always make sure you know exactly what you getting coz having your skin fucked forever is not fun! I have been going to Michigan Advanced Aesthetics and have received only the best treatment and care from Beverly and Laura. Beverly is so good with her work and very patient, friendly and professional. I had gone to Michigan Advanced Aesthetics because of a bad chemical burn I had got on my face after trying to do a TLC Peel on my own at home. Yup...BAD BAD Choice... I went there to see if they could help me because believe me it was so so bad and I had lost all confidence that my skin will ever be normal again. .but from the get go Beverly was so positive and encouraging and helped me with the best and right treatments...My skin has changed so much and the chemical burns have have reduced greatly...Their treatments and products that they use are so good and not harsh on my skin...
