The fact they take walk-in's is the best part about this place, although depending on your luck you might not get seen the day you need to if they're busy. With that being said, I'm pretty upset about the last few years I've been taking my cat there. There was an improper heart condition diagnosis that I spent a ton of money on medication and having to go to a cardiologist to just find out it's only asthma. At one point when I was picking up medication, they even sent me home with the wrong stuff! Luckily I'm not an idiot and can read a prescription or else I could have severely hurt my cat giving her wrong medication and a lethal dose of what it was. They didn't even blink or care when I told them what they did, they just said sorry come back and get the right stuff. You can't rely on their online pharmacy, they're always out of stock. When my new vet contacted them for records, they couldn't even send those over for us after asking multiple times. Then once they sent something it wasn't even her medical records with x rays etc it was just when my appointments were. Overall unless you really need to get seen that day and can't get in somewhere else, avoid here. read more

They have changed so much. They use to be so much better. My baby on seizer medicine. He had his annual in november.Vet said he was good for a year of prescriptions which cost me there. 2 minths later prescription went up $10, 1 month after that went up again $10. Then they said before he gets another prescription he has to have bloodwork. We are on social security, can not afford. So i guess they would have let him die of seizures. He was on his 4th monthly prescription, not even six months. I was so angry. Then rabies month which you are suppose to get discounted rabie shot. I ask them how much rabies shot was, they said oh mam they free you just have to bring him in for an exam that was a hundred & something dollars. What they sre concerned about is money not the fur babies. But thats ok i have found him a sweet vet, non corporation, that is very concerned and reasonable cost for my baby. And prescription is much cheaper. A bit of advice for everyone , get a written prescription from them if you can cause you can get them much cheaper somewhere else . Took our dog in to Eastview today as our regular vet could not fit her in on a Friday, and we didn't want to wait until Monday for her to be seen. Vet service was satisfactory. Total for visit, lab cost for stool sample and medication, plus nail trim was $191. Just a heads up for anyone new to this veterinary clinic.......if you add on a nail trim to your pet's visit, cost is $52. I was stunned at this fee. read more

After having all of my animals seen here for about 3 years the quality of care has seriously declined. They performed an unnecessary surgery on my new female rescue cat who had already been fixed! I cannot believe they put my cat through another surgery for no reason. I'm livid, still. And my dog, she was misdiagnosed. She was in heartfailure and they were telling me she was fine. This clinic has been around for a long time, especially if you look them up or just read some of the other reviews on here. I rated a three star only because Eastview is sort of still okay at this point in time. I have to agree with others though, who have been taking their sweet babies here before the switch from private to corporate. It's definitely not the same level of quality as they used to be, which was great beforehand. Now it's okay. Which can be scary if your pet is experiencing more serious, or questionable health because now you won't know what to expect from here. No pet owner or parent wants to gamble on the care of their sweet dog or cat. They just want to feel good knowing the veterinary clinic they go to is the right one, without doubt. So maybe give this place a try for general wellness, and then see how you feel afterwards. You can also call to see what level of respect you get. Be careful though, because one time I got this really unprofessional cranky lady from the clinic who picked up the line, I just said I was returning a call and she going on about not being at work the other day, so what's this all about she huffed. Do you think we are crazy, unreasonable, unprofessional? That the Eastview situation has gotten entirely out of hand? Let me break this down in a less sensational way. ... 1. Is it illegal for Eastview Veterinary Clinic to remove 6 babies from a nursing mother cat outside who wants her babies, when the babies have yet to even fully open their eyes, and then send them to Animal Control without their mother? No, it is surprisingly not illegal. But is it wrong? Even a hunter will not shoot down a mother doe with a fawn in tow, or the fawn, knowing that a separation like this would be cruel and cause anguish to whichever remained. Yes, this is morally wrong to do this. Did Eastview Veterinary Clinic remove these 10 day old babies from a feral colony nesting box and send them to Animal Control without their mother? Yes, they did. 2- Is it illegal when an Animal Control officer brings them back because they'll only be euthanized there, for Eastview Veterinary Clinic to allegedly tell an Animal Control officer they would return the babies to their mother until such a time they can be weaned and adopted out, and then not actually return them as stated? No, I don't think it is. But this is morally wrong to lie, and continue to withhold the babies from the mother. Abrupt weaning like this could have easily killed the mother by causing painful mastitis and infection. And Eastview Veterinary Clinic did this. 3- Is it illegal for Eastview Veterinary Clinic to DECLINE safe and secure rescue placement for all six babies and their mother because one of the vet techs friends wants to keep one of the babies, and does not want to adopt it back from the rescue at such a time the baby can be weaned? No, it is not illegal to do this. But it is morally wrong when that arrangement would be what was best for the mother and babies. We offered to take all six babies and the mother, and were declined only for the sole reason that the vet techs friend wanted to keep one of the babies for herself. Did Eastview Veterinary Clinic do this? Yes, they did. 4- Is it illegal for Eastview Veterinary Clinic to keep the baby, and then proceed to call and lie to another rescue about the age and situation of the remaining five kittens, to deceive them into intaking? No, this is not illegal. But it is morally wrong. It impacted the rescue who was deceived, as the fosters were not trained in bottle feeding and feared for the survival of the kittens. It impacted our rescue who ultimately ended up with them anyway. It caused severe emotional trauma and distress as I had to miss a trip that had been long planned with my family to help with this placement after previously having been denied when offering the proper resources to help. Did Eastview Veterinary Clinic do this? Yes, they did. 5- Is it illegal for the practice manager to promise to me they would trap, neuter, and release the remaining colony cats, and they instead terminate the entire colony? No, it is not illegal to break a promise to a rescue. But trap, neuter, and release would have cost about $250 for the entire colony through the Humane Society. The colony has been fed and cared for by Eastview for years. And rather than pay this paltry amount for the health of this long standing colony, they instead chose to destroy the colony. This is morally wrong. Did Eastview Veterinary Clinic do this? Yes, they did. The method of colony destruction is up for debate as they won't speak, but it can be safely concluded that the colony is gone. So am I being unreasonable? A vets office who is supposed to be invested in the welfare of animals, tore infant babies from their mother, then destroyed the remaining small colony instead of paying a small $250 cost (or accepting the offer for Free help) of having them neutered to maintain colony size. Is this illegal? It could be arguable it is illegal depending on how the colony was destroyed. But the gist of it is no. It is not illegal. But is this a pattern of morally reprehensible behavior at every single turn? Yes, it is not a one off instance of cruelty and a mistake. It is a repeated and sustained pattern of poor morals and cruelty. I cannot in good faith give my money to a veterinarian office that condones this behavior, commits this behavior, and then refuses to issue a statement in their side of events regarding this behavior. read more

I can't remember what I paid for the visit but it was under $50.00. The veterinary that I saw was extremely personable. I, do remember, that the wife wanted me to have some tests done on the dog. I was pleasantly surprised that the vet tried to talk me out of getting those tests done since he saw no signs of them being necessary. since they have been bought out by a big conglomerate they no longer care about the animals. they didnt TNR a cat colony in their backyard, which was irresponsible and then when the mom had babies separated them at a few days old so that the tech's friends could have a bottle baby which risks the life of the newborn kitten and traumatizes not only the baby, but the mom also. When there was fallout the rest of the cats disappeared mysteriously and they stopped allowing comments and reviews on their page. If they expended a fraction of the energy they have spent blocking and deleting comments they could have done a lot of good for the poor animals which says a lot about their priorities read more

Eastview used to be decent back when they were a privately owned practice. Since they were bought out by large, corporate masters, however, things are no longer good. Having worked in the TNR and Rescue business for many years, I am APPALLED at the way this business has treated their employees, the local rescues and most of all, cruelly betrayed the feral cat colony behind their business that they supposedly "cared for". We had used Eastview in the past with no complaints, but I would NEVER recommend them to anyone with an animal, now. I will be sure to warn anyone and everyone I know with an animal that they apparently only care about money now, not their clients or patients, and definitely not any stray animals. We are so done with Eastview, when we first started taking our pets there, mote than 25 years ago, and up until about a year ago, they were great, since Dr. Crowe, who was the only one that i trusted, retired and Eastview has been bought out, they are going down the tubes really fast. What is up with closing for 2 hours for lunch? They never did that before, they would work through lunch hours on a rotation so they wouldn't have to close down. We brought our sick, possibly dying Syrian hamster, and the first thing they did was drop him. They dropped him. The two vets, who were supposed to be professional. Then, to top it off, they told us he had a very low survival chance and recommend we exchange him for a healthy one, as if we couldn't think of that ourselves. As if we didn't go "Hey. We could get rid of all this trouble by telling Petco, but this is our hamster, and he's going to pull through if we have anything to say about it." Also, my eight-year old sister was in the room when they said this. She cried a little in the car. The only good thing they did was give us some antibiotics...without giving our hammy the first dose themselves. They didn't even mention that we needed to give it with food or, really, how to give it. We left the vet with a bill of $60 (which Petco was supposed to pay), a hamster with a mild concussion, and little idea as to what to do with our antibiotics. read more

I have taken my 2 year old Goldendoodle here multiple times and every time has been such a great experience. They were able to diagnose and cure him the first time regarding his GI problems (after months of me going to a different vet with no luck). Also recently i found a small bump/tumor on his leg. I took him here immediately and they diagnosed him with a Histiocytoma- I was so worried but the vet is very reassuring and even called to make sure everything was going smoothly which helped my anxiety a lot. He prescribed oral medication and they did a biopsy via needle aspiration to confirm it's not cancer. After 2 weeks the tumor had gone away completely. I love this vet! I have three Maltese's and one Maltipoo 12 years ago, I adopted a 6 week old Maltese that had been neutered and unfortunately her legs did not develop. My Lucy has difficulty walking. Dr. Mcree was wonderful with her. She was patient, kind, and listened to our concerns today. Lucy did not want to walk and was in great pain. Eastview saved my dog's life a couple years ago. One morning Gizmo couldn't walk for some reason and seemed lethargic. We carried him into the vet and they put us at the front of other folks that were waiting for routine appts. The vet quickly diagnosed the problem. Gizmo had a very small tick on him that was causing the paralysis. He got the tick off, gave Gizmo antibiotics and we were on our way. Within a couple hours Gizmo was showing marked improvement. I have been to Eastview two out of the 3 visits that we have made to the vet since getting our baby, Sadie. She is a 9 week old Pomeranian, and the Eastview team makes us so happy with their excitement when we bring her in! We had an unpleasant experience at another vet- where we didn't feel as though the vet truly cared about our Sadie. She didn't check vitals or anything and held her for approximately 5 seconds and told us that her soft spot was water on the brain and that we should return her to the breeder we got her from. We were devastated. We decided to get another opinion, and boy am I glad we chose Eastview. My boyfriend and I had been up all night researching water on the brain and our Sadie was not showing any signs of water on the brain. I had googled other veterinarians in Clarksville and stumbled across Eastview. I called them right at 8 (when their normal business hours start) and asked many questions. In fact, I ended up speaking to the front desk 3 separate times that morning. Not once did anyone get frustrated or angry that I kept calling! Everyone was extremely polite and helpful. Due to their warm, welcoming voices over the phone, I decided that this was definitely where we needed to take our Sadie to get a second opinion. Upon entering Eastview, the staff at the desk was so friendly and helpful and they got us right in to see Dr. Acree. Dr. Acree is such a kind woman. She listened to our concerns and took a good look at Sadie, playing with her, checking her vitals and asking us questions about her personality and how she was doing. Dr. Acree came to the conclusion that Sadie did NOT have water on the brain and even had the other vets in the building take a look at her, just to be sure. Everyone there was so encouraging and even said that they wouldn't hesitate to keep Sadie if they were us. We took her back a week later for shots, and Dr. Acree was off. We worked with Dr. Loxley and he was nothing short of amazing. He took great care of our girl and reassured us, yet again that our Pomeranian is perfectly healthy and gave us some great tips on keeping her that way. We are so appreciative of the entire staff at Eastview Veterinary Clinic. We will never take Sadie to another vet for as long as we are in Clarksville. We sure have been spoiled by Eastview! Dr Crowe is awesome! I have two dogs and he treats both of them. One is ridiculously hyper and the other one a little shy and protective --- he did well with both. My protective boy loved him by the end of the visit, which is a great endorsement by itself. He not only provided great service, but made additional recommendations and provided me samples of products he thought might work better for my dogs. He (himself) followed up with blood work the next day... I love when I don't get calls from staff that you can't discuss results with. I would highly recommend his services! read more

Our 3 dogs went to Eastview for over 8 years, each with different needs and temperaments, and Eastview was great with each one. This was true not only for the doctors (and I think I've seen every one here!) but for the front desk staff as well. Even in emergencies, they were always available and took the time to answer all of our questions and provide us with the necessary information we needed to make the best choices for our dogs. We found the prices on visits and medications to be fair as well. We recently moved out of state and I really miss the ease, friendliness and expertise of these guys. I'm leaving this review on behalf of my mother. Her cat, Simba, was unable to urinate for a night and was acting very ill. She brought him in prior to opening hours and Dr. Loxley got him right in, examined him, and brought him back for immediate catheterization. He explained everything to my mother and made her feel comfortable with the entire process with a great bedside manner. She was told she could call any time to check up and could come visit throughout his 48 hour inpatient stay. DR. Crowe is awesome! Our family found Eastview when our boxer boy needed a surgery the clinic on post could not preform. Eastview then became our back up vet, although Eastview can be a little more pricey compared to the vet on post, they have now become our full time vet. I like the availability Eastview offers ( they are even open on Sat). We have always been seen at Eastview promptly even though they are a walk in clinic. My babies love Dr. Crowe! Although we mostly see him we have seen the other vets there on occasion and have been satisfied with them as well. Dr. Crowe and the other veterinarians are great about answering your questions in office or on the phone, and making follow up calls to check on their patients. :) The front desk staff are friendly and the office is clean. They have medicines at the office so you can get them right away. We had an emergency situation with our dog Bailey 2 years ago I called the office in a panic and everyone there from the staff to the Drs I spoke with were very kind to me. I will never forget that and will forever be grateful to everyone at Eastview. They even sent us a card. This office is a little farther than others if you live near or on post but completely worth the extra minutes of driving! The vet and office staff are knowledgeable and are real sweethearts. Dr. Acree took her time to answer all questions and the sweet tech lovingly held our puppy as he was examined. There was no pressure to buy anything or do any additional procedures. The entry and examination room looked and smelled clean. Just an all around great atmosphere and experience! No appointment is needed! Really really like this aspect. We were seen within five minutes of walking through the door. Although I haven't - and hope not to use - they do offer 24/7 emergency care.
