I was in town yesterday, visiting and decided to run into mall just to check out the Shoe Dept Encore. As the closet, Shoe Dept Encore, similar to this size location is an hour away from where I live. The store was clean, helpful associates, and fast in and out check out for what I was looking to buy. Loved getting a great value for a pair of sandals in early March. Eastwood Mall has to be the first mall, that I've ever seen with carpeting. Smart idea for mall estetics, even though I didn't browse any stores other then Shoe Dept Encore and Jcpenny. Large mall with plenty of stores, restaurants and enough to do. Perfect, central location for surrounding areas of Youngstown, and bordering cities. read more

Very disappointed that I saved my Eastwood mall gift card to buy something at the mall along with my other savings but no one told me it's a freaking scam how am I supposed to know they charge 2.50 dollars per month of year I didn't use it I was only trying to save it's affecting my savings and now they took all my money from me I had 18 dollars and then when I looked when I wanted to spend the rest I checked and I had 8 and I looked in recent purchases and it said account fees 2.50 Eastwood mall I am very disappointed with you guys I don't think I could ever come back in your mall satisfied next time I'm getting cash and not wasting 18 bucks next time I just trying to save it 4 months later I just gave one star because I'm being generous today but still I'm disappointed GOODBYE read more

There are three types of shopping mall left in 2024 America. The first two are relatively common. The third is less so. Eastwood Mall fits perfectly into number 3. Let me explain. 1) The Boutique Mall. $750 designer t-shirts and spaceship cars in the parking lot. 2) The Last Gasp Mall. The anchor stores have been replaced by flea markets, plasma donation sites & sketchy churches. 3) Eastwood Mall. A lot of stores between the mall proper and the joints that ring the property, where you can pick up nearly everything for gift-giving, wardrobe or home. The most interesting thing about this mall is that it is still somehow surviving. Are they empty storefronts inside, yes, but there are not many empty store fronts. As another reviewer has said they have the usual variety of mall shops. To me some of the stores are new, but that's a regional thing. Walking around the inside can take some time. I suggest doing so because you may miss a store. Also take a moment to take in the sights while inside here. This is probably one of the most interesting malls I have been in. Even though there are not a lot of empty storefronts, they have been creative with filling those storefronts. It was interesting that the local television station has a studio in here. One thing that I did do while in here was take a look at the aquarium(s) they have in here. I took my time to check them out, and even took a moment and sat next to them before leaving. read more

I drove from CLE's east side to shop here, taking Rt. 422 across to Warren. Eastwood Mall has the usual variety of mall shops. Anchors include Macy's, Penney's, Burlington, Boscov's, Big Lots, Dick's, Ollie's, and Dillard's Clearance Store--like a regular department store, but off season family merchandise at clearance prices. Around the mall are lots of restaurants, hotels, and big box stores. The area is really nice. The mall is neat and clean. You can spend the day or a few hours here. This is the place to go for all kinds of shopping. read more

I haven't been to this mall in about 2 years, so I took a trip up one day. The place smelled of mildew and weed. It was also filled with gangs of teenagers. H&M, Target, and Express outlet were the only huge retailers there. It was outdated and in need of a face lift inside. Food although was very good at the mall. Despite not having a huge food court the food at the mall was OK. some other options the mall had was Bath and Bodyworks, Yankee, candle Macy's, and American Eagle. all in all the mall was OK but would not be going back anytime soon. read more

Nice glow up since after covid a lot more nice shops love going there now it no longer is just for old people to walk around in

Dillards, Macy's and JC Penney is a good mix and that's what you'll find here. All of the other popular stores in between could be found here as well...Finish Line, Buckle and Icing, just to name a few. I was impressed by the cleanliness and the freakin aquarium and the fish projected onto the carpet with the water that rippled from movement. Like a kid, I was mesmerized while looking at the sharks and yellow tangs. Just beautiful! It's nice to know a decent mall is close by when I visit family in this area. Very cool spot. read more

On my second visit, I discovered a BMV (although closed on Sunday), a game space that includes a Tilt-A-Whirl (!), an aquarium (it is temporarily closed for upgrades), a train that kids & parents can ride around the mall in for $3 each, and a decent kid's play area. We had a late lunch at the Firebirds that has entrances both inside and outside the mall. read more

I used to absolutely love this mall, actually used to work here. Now its filled with teens causing commotion and screaming! It smells like smoke, and is filled with No-Name stores. Champs Shoes is even closing!!!! This mall is horrible, its truly a shame. The plazas around it are ok, and the target is nice, but I don't see a reason to go into the mall. So Sad!! read more

A decent mall owned by the Cafaro Corporation. Ownership has done a good job keeping the spaces occupied and developing the surrounding area with hotels, movie theaters, a minor league baseball field, a spa and even their new headquarters. Inside the mall you'll find the typical fare - stores, food court, play areas, and you'll find some atypical things too, like the mind-easing aquarium located in the central atrium. At times, traffic getting in and out of the Eastwood Plaza can be downright nightmarish to say the least, it's best you know your way around and where you are headed before you get there. Eastwood Mall is an average mall. It has your typical run of the mill Anchor stores - Sears, JCPenny, Dillards, Target and Macy's. INside you'll find the usuals like Old Navy, Aeropostale, Bath and Body Works, American Eagle and others. It is not really a mall where I want to wander around and spend the day. For me it is the kind of mall where I go when I need a specific item and can get in and get out. I probably go in once or twice a year. It is not a pretty mall. There is nothing pretty in its decor. Just simple concourses, usually very dim in areas with overpriced kiosks hocking sunglasses, cell accessories and cheap jewelry. The food court is small compared to some malls and lacks any interesting or unique eateries. They have a Taco Bell, A Pizza Place, An Asian Place and a Subway. There is a restaurant attached to the mall called Firebirds and while the atmosphere is very swanky and sleek, the food is pricey and really does seem out of place attached to this mall. The Mall currently has a lot of construction going on around it -- and in it! They have added a hotel attached to the mall, a second Hotel is being built very close to the mall and an Office Complex for the Cafaro Company is also being built attached to the mall. Inside the mall H&M is being built as well as Tilt!, the latter of which is a family arcade with laser tag and glow in the dark golf. Many of the stores have gone dark and I am hoping they will get new tenants and can revive the place a bit. The one redeeming factor about Eastwood Mall is their Children's area that they just remodeled. It is really nice for parents to have a place to let the kids play and enjoy. They also have a small area they have dubbed the Equarium. It holds a few small sharks, fish and even a stingray! Some people laugh about it but I have been on a field trip with my daughter and the presentation they do for kids is AWESOME! I have also done a birthday party in their Captain McFinn room and it was wonderful!! But hat was years ago so please do not take that as a recent critique. There is a train parents can ride around the mall with their kiddos as well... but be aware they do not take credit cards! I also have to admit I love the addition of the new ride ons! They have these riding animals that anyone up to 255 pounds can rent for $5 for 10 min or $9 for 20 min and ride around on the carpeted areas in one wing of the mall. My 13 year old was hysterical riding a Panda with her cousins!! Who wouldn't want to ride a Panda??? LOL I am really hopeful that this mall can revive itself and become a fun place to want to go.... Our next stop on boys day out was at the mall to visit the aquarium. They wanted to see the fish and sharks so we spent about 20 minutes just gazing at the three large aquariums watching the fish swim. My kids ran around trying to identify each fish as pictures are placed along the aquarium identifying what types of fish are in the tanks. This was actually fun trying to find each one. Of course, my oldest found a dead fish lying upside in the coral. In the end we ended up naming most of the fish we saw including the dead one. The only thing we couldn't find was the brain coral. We looked forever but never saw it. Otherwise, it was a fun experience. read more

This is a pretty average mall. I live in the area and have to admit that years ago when they took out the fountains it lost its appeal to me. I do go to the mall sometimes but usually just to go in - grab what I came for and I am right back out. There is nothing particularly pretty about this mall - quite the opposite. It reminds me of an airport now. Actually pretty dimly lit in some of braches of the inside Mall. My husband passed away recently and my daughter felt I needed "retail therapy". I agreed that it would be nice to go to the mall and enjoy the Christmas decorations (in years past you could always count on the mall to be OVER THE TOP). What a huge disappointment. There were two HUGE Soldier horn playing statues where we came into the food court area entrance. There were another two huge matching statues near a large Christmas tree at center court. There were a few large ( ish ) balloon sculptures - and other than that - it was pretty barren. Instead of lifting my spirits it just made me sad - to see it so - under decorated. We stopped to look at the fish tanks and the grandkids had some fun playing with an interactive rug area at the center of that. We also later stopped in a play area near JC penny that was fairly kid friendly (though it seems to have been built to encourage climbing and jumping - which made me very nervous). My mind went back to past memories of what used to be one of my favorite malls in the tri state area - NO MORE. This mall used to have beautiful fountains. A huge triple fountain at center court that you could both smell and hear when you entered the mall. There were two smaller fountains at the other main entranced. At Christmas giant garlands and lights and Huge Christmas ornaments would line the ceilings. Center court ceiling was a marvel. They have now hidden that beautiful ceiling with some kind of grid. There also used to be small places to stop and eat throughout the mall - encouraging us to eat and shop. Now they have it all in one underwhelming spot. I cannot understand how anyone could imagine that making the mall look barren would encourage shopping. The mall used to be not just a place to go and buy stuff (I can buy stuff a lot of places - including on line - easily). The mall used to be an experience. I am still in shock that they didn't even bother to decorate for the Holidays. I am sure the retailers there are hurting due to this lack of effort on the malls part to make the mall a place people want to go - and eat - and hang out at - and shop - and shop and shop. Sad - really sad. You can go to the mall - Santa is there at Center court (and he was a very nice Santa) but if you are planning on spending the day and shopping etc - just make a list so you can get what you need and get back out quickly. I don't come here often. Maybe once or twice a year. This is actually pretty good compared to other malls I have visited. It's always clean and never messy. I have never run into large crowds while visiting, even during the holidays. They have an aquarium towards the middle of the mall that my kids LOVE to visit while we're here. Now, don't be expecting a large shopping, expensive mall. That isn't this mall. This mall is basic with Macy's and Target as the largest stores, but they also have some unique stores here, that I don't see in other malls. It's all about what your looking for. I wouldn't eat here. Small food court, but I like that. Lessens the crowds and I can actually shop without being bombarded with "Wanna try ...?" I like peace and I get that here. read more

The Eastwood mall is a small town mall that has everything that you need is a manageable layout. Shopping is good for the average person and a small play area for the kiddos to play. The food court has a decent selection and the staff keeps the mall pretty clean. Worst mall in America anyone? Come on this place is almost dead every single day stores were empty or closed down, the aquarium what a joke I have seen better tanks with better and more diverse fish in them at my older brother's house really. Anything else was the usual fair you see at any mall but kind of gloomy which was kind of surreal and interesting at the same time. Nothing original or out of the ordinary here to bring in the masses but anywas this area is kind of dead to actually have any impact at all go somewhere else or don't. read more

Oh boy did I love the mall as a teen. What teen didn't? Especially when this mall was the only mall I had experienced, this was so much fun! I do have some fond memories of the mall and it gave me something to do, but looking back, this mall is pretty awful. The only reason I come out this direction any more is for Target or TJ Maxx, so I completely avoid technically going in the mall. Basically, the lighting is weird, the floors are gross, the shopping selection is kind of drab and the Niles, Ohio hooligans that hang out here are pretty unsavory. The addition of the mini aquarium was a nice thought, but it seems like it could have been executed a little better; it looks like a really sad and failed use of money. Basically, now I know why my parents hated/refused to take me to the mall. I rarely go when I'm in town any more--mostly because I live in Cleveland now and there are much better options. (Not to mention I have rent to pay now...and I'm a bitter curmudgeon.) read more

Visited here very briefly. The day before Thanksgiving. Was on a trip from Atlanta because a family member was having major surgery. I thought I'd give my five year old a small play break. He and I walk into the play area and we simply forgot to take his shoes off between traveling and hospital visits. We had not been at the mall more than ten minutes and two gentlemen and a POLICEMAN showed up. The POLICEMAN said the two gentleman sent him over to me to tell me that they were the owners of the mall and that my child needed to remove his shoes. It was a complete mistake and simple oversight but two grown men had to send a POLICEMAN over to me to intimidate me and harass me. We had not been causing issues- my child had been quiet and respectful and was the only child there for half the time. Two other children arrived while we were there. I don't understand why they chose to handle this situation the way they did. Why this necessitated a policeman to inform me or why they didn't just show kindness or simple common sense in their delivery? I could certainly understand if we seemed like a threatening group- but it was a mother and child who was playing quietly. What a lack of respect, lack of human dignity, unkindness, lack of maturity and blatant intimidation. Neither man even spoke to me personally. Happy Thanksgiving to them! read more

I've been to many malls and I like this one well enough. I think it looked better BEFORE they remodeled in the early 2000s, but it's clean the Equarium is generally well kept. Size-wise, it's not too big or too small. I don't get why people would complain about it being "Dead" because it's better to shop without long lines. They have a good selection of stores such as Victoria's Secret, Macy's, etc. You also can't blame the mall for the people who hang out there---it's not located in the best area. For what it is, it's fine, and certainly better than Shenango. read more
