I have been going to Easy Does It Books & Gifts since it opened in 1997. Although I have moved from Long Beach to South O.C. and cannot frequent nearly as much I love that it's still going. When Richard passed I was so worried that this little shop would not continue, but thankfully it lives on. I recently swung in to get a friend a 40 Year chip and what a selection they have. Along with medallions, they have anything and everything you could possibly want or need when it comes to recovery. Whether you want gifts or official recovery tools they got you covered. The prices are competitive, the service is outstanding and the store is just a cool place to shop and hang when you're in the area. So glad it's carrying on! read more

Great little store in Long Beach, they support the 12 step recovery community. They sell chips, medallions, books etc. all things recovery oriented. It has been around for at least 25 years and I often shopped there when I lived a few blocks away. I am very glad the family has continued the business after the wonderful founder, Richard Waide, passed away. I hear through friends they are doing a great job. I do not live in the area anymore but when I next visit Long Beach, I will drop by. Keep up the good work! read more

Great bookstore just wish they had more used big books for all the other groups not just AA. Seems to be all I can find in stores. But to credit them the nice lady at the counter did offer to order me a book they didn't have in stock but I was hoping to find a used one because I'm a spender looking for debtors book and I didn't have enough for a new one at the time. I hardly had enough for what I did get but the lady working was super sweet about it if I can give separate rating for services I'd give her 5 stars but unfortunately for lack of used big books I'd have to say it was a bit of a bummer but overall experience was good I'd come again. read more
